Honkai Star Rail: May Us Blessed by The Stars

"Miss Vanitas! We have arrived at Herta Space Station!" An excited and playful voice kept calling her name along with shaking hershoulders, waking them up....

It's those nightmares again....

Vanitas opened her eyes blearily to see March 7th calling her excitedly because they had arrived at the rest stop.

"March, let her rest, you know very well how her condition is." Another voice sighed and interjected as March 7th spoke. It was Dan Heng, a quiet and serious boy, who placed his hand on March's shoulder and shook his head vigorously.

"It's alright...." Vanitas replied tiredly and sleepily, recently the Nihility's phenomena had made she lose her sense of time so her body had difficulty perceiving biological time.

This time when the Astral Express stopped here, in addition to refueling and resting, she had attracted the attention of Herta with one word "Interesting...", the number 83 of the Genius Society. She asked Vanitas to go to the Herta Space Station to examine her body (or rather, to get data for experiments). It also makes her a little uncomfortable but for the sake of science and to try to cure the disease of Self-annihilation... We also came here when we heard that the Anti-Matter Legion had appeared on the spaceship.

"Asta has sent a request aid to us so our priority is to help the researchers evacuate as quickly as possible." Himeko nodded to everyone as the members dispersed to go down to the station. "Oh and Vanitas, try not to overdo it. You haven't recovered yet."

Vanitas nodded at Himeko's words and left before everyone else. While she was still dumbfounded then suddenly realized that the staff here were all running around and didn't know what to do. There were also people who bumped into her and she fell backwards on the ground. They did not apologize but continued to stand up and hurriedly run to evacuate the others. She guess that maybe it was a natural thing in a situation like this....?

It seemed like Anti-Matter Legion was attacking The Space Station, causing all the staff to panic to this point. After helping the researchers evacuate, Vanitas was curious and walked along the corridors where the security guards and researchers ran around to evacuate.

She looked into a certain room and saw two strange women appear along with another woman with gray hair who was vaguely opening her eyes and seemed to ask something that Vanitas couldn't hear because of the soundproof door. It seemed that after they answered the question that the gray haired woman asked, according to their mouth movements, the woman with plum hair said that she was going to leave.

The grey haired woman seemed to want to hold on to something but the one with the plum red hair she made them sleep and placed her in a corner of the room and the two strangers started to leave making Vanitas wide eyed, hurriedly looking for a place to hide but she heard footsteps behind her but it was too late. Something like a gun barrel was pointed at her head and a plasma blade was placed across Vanitas' neck making her a bit nervous. "Where are you going to, young lady?"

"I'm--"

"Wait, Kafka. This woman was also in the script that Elio gave, which also means that the Astral Express crew has arrived. We need to move quickly." The woman walking beside Kafka stopped her before she could do anything. They chewed gum in their mouths as they spoke and quickly walked out the door before Kafka. "Come on, Kafka. What are you waiting for?"

"Just a minute, Silver Wolf." Kafka replied to Silver Wolf, she bent down and examined Vanitas quickly. She gave a mysterious and enigmatic smile as she looked at Vanitas, then placed her hand on the side of her face making Vanitas a bit drowsy. "It seems you're not just some 'normal patient' walking around. I can't erase your memories but maybe I'll let you sleep for a bit."

"What are... you doing....?" Vanitas grew more and more tired until she was exhausted and closed her eyes but she could feel Kafka leaning her against the wall and quickly leaving. By the time she woke up she had slept soundly and had no nightmares at all.

"Miss Vanitas! Miss Vanitas!" It was the familiar voice again calling her to wake up, Vanitas slowly opened her eyes to see March 7th worried about her with Dan Heng kneeling down and checking the information on his transmitter. "Thanks gods that you are awake! We've been frantically searching for you, miss Vanitas!"

"Is that so.... How long have I been sleeping....?" Vanitas slowly sat up and stretched her shoulders.

"About fifteen minutes." Dan Heng replied to Vanitas as he frowned at the data he was checking then looked back at the gray haired woman whose eyes were still closed. "Weren't their coordinates sent out from the space station...?"

"Who cares? They're here and alive. Do they look like a mannequin to you?" March 7th put her hands on her hips and playfully retorted to Dan Heng. He just sighed and put his hand on the gray haired woman's neck to check her pulse but he had to frown again.

"...Weak heartbeat and pulse... March, you better do CPR." Dan Heng turned to speak to March 7th but she just smiled awkwardly and scratched her head. She giggled nervously and shook her head vigorously.

"Huh!? Hehe... I—I've never done it before! Miss Vanitas, can you do it?" Under March 7th's pleading puppy eyes, Vanitas softened a bit and agreed (reluctantly). She walked over to the two children and sat down to prepare to perform CPR on the gray-haired woman when they slowly opened their eyes and looked around.

"She's awake....." Vanitas stepped back while March 7th curiously tilted her head in to look and helped pull the grey-haired woman up.

"Are you all right? Can you hear me? Do you remember your name?" With March 7th's quick but kind personality, she asked the gray-haired woman first.

They still looked a bit tired and put their hands on their heads as if trying to remember something but couldn't, they shook their heads at March 7th's question. "I... don't remember a thing."

"Aw, this isn't good... Can you try harder? I'm sure you can at least remember your name..." March 7th tries to encourage the woman to try to remember something more about herself.

"My name is Stelle..." said Stelle.

"Stelle? Nice to meet you. My name's Dan Heng, this is miss Vanitas and March 7th." Dan Heng nodded at Stella's answer, then he introduced everyone to Stelle and began to simply explain the current situation on the space station. "This space station was just attacked by the Antimatter Legion. We came to help with the rescue at the request of Lead Researcher Asta."

"The Antimatter Legion?" asked by Stelle while she looks confused.

"Goons owned by the Destruction. You're lucky that the most dangerous Lord Ravager (Emanator of Destruction) among them isn't around, just some nasty minions." Vanitas replied and turned on an electronic screen on her phone and enlarged it for Stelle to see. "We'll take those invaders out soon, don't worry."

"But.... Where should I go?" Stelle said with a sad face and wondering where to head to.

"Back to the master control zone. Asta and the other researchers have gathered there." replied Dan Heng.

"Plus that's where we parked the Astral Express! Don't you worry, we'll protect you from the monsters and clear up this mess." March 7th excitedly continued.

"The Astral Express?" Stelle asked them curiously.

"Yeah, you've never seen it? The Express comes here every once in a while." March 7th replied as she opened her arms to show Stella the ship which was larger than she imagined.

"It's a unique train that can travel between the stars with the power of the Trailblaze Aeon." said Dan Heng.

"I'll show you once we're back to the master control zone~" March 7th said with an excited look.

"Let's go then."

"You, March and miss Vanitas go back together." Dan Heng stopped and spoke to them. "Arlan from the Security Department lost contact in the vicinity. I need to find him first."

"Oh, all right. You stay safe."March 7th nodded.

"The Legion are rampaging through the space station like a pack of wolves — this trip won't be a walk in the park." Vanitas looked around the room full of Curios as if searching for something before she picked up a baseball bat and threw it to Stelle. "You might need some weapons."

"Heh, that's right though — you're safe as long as you stick with me and with this beautiful lady Vanitas~!" March 7th said then put his arm around Vanitas' shoulder and raised his thumb to show how prestigious he was while Vanitas just sighed helplessly. They left the room and approached the control panel, when they came across a room filled with crates and strange Curios. "This place is full of fancy little gadgets — Herta's collection. I really don't get why she'd go out of her way to collect them and then leave them here to gather dust..."

"And....done...." Vanitas approached the control panel after a while of punching in the code, the panel finally turned green and the door opened allowing them to continue. After running through the hall they encountered a monster from the Antimatter Legion that forced them to summon their weapons.

"Ah, it's the Antimatter Legion! So these crazy jerks made it all the way here... Watch this!" The group charged at the monster, then breathed a sigh of relief when they stopped them and were able to move on. March 7th immediately praised Stelle when she saw that she was able to defend herself against the antimatter monster's attack. "You're stronger than you look... Seem to be quite the fighter."

When they reached the room with the elevator, they stopped and looked around first. "So we'll take that elevator on the central platform to go down to the master control zone. Do you know the way?"

"Yes, but we have to go through those antimatter legion monsters before we can get to the elevator." Vanitas pointed to the nearest path to the elevator, which was filled with monsters standing there waiting for their prey to come.

"Um, I notice that you're not wearing the space station staff uniform. Do you really work here?" March 7th frowned for a long time to observe Stelle and she suddenly asked a question that made the whole group silent. Stelle was also silent and thought about how to answer but luckily Vanitas came to her rescue.

"Maybe Stella was badly injured, so she couldn't remember anything except her single name." said Vanitas.

"Amnesia huh. I think you're right, miss Vanitas." Vanitas felt a little nervous and guilty about lying to someone as innocent as March 7th, making her restless when March 7th believed her at first. "Let's go, we'll take you to the safe zone~"

After a long fight with the Anti-Matter Legion monsters, they finally reached the central elevator. Vanitas opened the control panel and pressed a few commands, then waited a bit to see if anything would happen, but nothing really happened. Suddenly she felt dizzy and her vision was blurrier than before, it seemed like her body was shutting down under the self-annihilation symptoms that were raging in her body again, even with the blessing of Abundance, self-annihilation is not easily stopped.. She tried to act normal in front of March 7th and Stelle. "Mmhm..."

"Is something wrong, miss Vanitas?" March 7th asked worriedly as she looked at Vanitas' frowning face as she crossed her arms and stood there thinking for a moment.

"It's broken?" Stelle tilted her head and asked Vanitas.

"Appearently. Maybe we have to wait for Dan Heng to come...." Vanitas closed her eyes and crossed her arms, leaning against a nearby wall to rest her body a bit. 

"If you can't fix it, neither can I." Dan Heng suddenly spoke up causing everyone to turn to look at him. Dan Heng looked towards Vanitas seeing her still silent and eyes closed, her frowning expression told him that the illness caused by Nihility was raging in her body, so he kept quiet about it so as not to make March 7th disturb Vanitas rested.

"Whoa! Why are you here!? ...And how did you get here before us?" March 7th was startled to see that Dan Heng had been standing there silently for a while.

"I took another route to the upper level, and I saw you guys from up there." Dan Heng replied to March . "Arlan is in the control room. He's been injured, but not fatally."

"You found him! Will he know what to do about this elevator?" asked March 7th.

"I suppose as the head of the Security Department, he should know." Dan Heng thought and said.

"Then let's go talk to him!"

"I will wait here..." Vanitas said tiredly as she seemed to have no more vitality left but she still tried to smile a little. The three then left to go to the control room where Arlan was. A long time later she heard March 7th calling out to her that they had unlocked it but the elevator had already gone upstairs. Arlan probably didn't want the Anti-Matter Legion to enter there. She walked up to the control room where everyone was gathered and then go with everyone to leave monitoring room and go up to the top floor.

"Do you know why the Antimatter Legion would invade the station, Arlan?" Dan Heng asked as they walked through the monster infested hallways and up the stairs to an empty room that looked like a research lab but was occupied by monsters.

"They must've come for Madam Herta's collection... But as to why, I still..." Arlan hesitated to answer.

"I heard there's something called a Stellaron in Madam Herta's collection." said Dan Heng.

"...That's not the kind of information someone in my position would have access to." Arlan raised an eyebrow and spoke hesitantly. They continued running and approached the repulsion bridge, but they couldn't see any bridge to go up.

"The repulsion bridge has been shut down?"

"Yes. To stall the enemy, more or less." replied Arlan. Dan Heng interact with controller for the repulsion bridge then activate it. After the bridge has appeared and they run onto it, then enter the room on upper level. Also a room of researchers with something like a card floating in the machines holding it.

"Hey, these shiny things... Are these Light Cones? I thought only the Interastral Peace Corporation had rare stuff like this." March 7th and Vanitas curiously approached it to take a look and saw that it was actually Light Cones, something quite rare and strange to Vanitas.

"No, Light Cones are Garden of Recollection technology. They allow you to carry memories around — very potent enhancement items." Dan Heng explained to them as he rested his chin on his hand and looked at the Light Cone with them. "I heard the corporation paid a lot for the usage rights, but I've no idea how Herta managed to get hold of one."

"They were acquired legitimately, that's all I can say. Take them, they're very useful in combat." Arlan took the Light Cone and gave it to Vanitas. They left the lab and continued on, Dan Heng interacted with the last controller and the repulsion bridge appeared.

"Is that it? We've reached the elevator already? That wasn't too many monsters~" March 7th said but then she immediately retracted her words. "Oof, probably shouldn't have said that... Might bring bad luck."

"You've grown, March." Dan Heng sighed and spoke helplessly but with a hint of satisfaction like a father looking after his children, making Vanitas feel a little amused as he looked at the two children. She was about to say something when she immediately summoned her weapon to deflect the attack coming from afar.

Then something came rushing like lightning to attack Vanitas although she was a bit staggered but she still managed to block the monster's attack. It was a Voidranger, but this one was a much larger Trampler than usual, and it was blocking the elevator doors. It looked like they were going to have to fight.

After a while, all four of them attacked the monster at the same time until it was about to disappear, then it acted like a beast and roared loudly calling its comrades. At this time, more Anti-Matter Legion monsters appeared in the sky under the call of their leader.

"Hey, sore losers! You can't just gang up on us!" While Vanitas was thinking about whether to stay and kill them to buy time for Dan Heng's group to escape, a robot with helicopter wings suddenly appeared and rescued them.

"Go! Go!" Vanitas shouted loudly while blocking the attacks from the monsters and taking advantage of the time when reinforcements arrived, they quickly ran towards the elevator.

"Why does it always have to get this exciting?" In the master control zone where Himeko was closing her suitcase and waiting for Vanitas' group to return, she seemed excited. She turned back to find Vanitas' group safe and sound. "Anyway, at least you're back."

"Vanitas, March, Dan Heng, you've been through a lot" Himeko placed her hand on Vanitas' shoulder, she just chuckled without replying. She had been the nanny of this group of kindergarteners for a long time so she understood them all.

"Whew, Himeko~ What took you so long! That last wave of Antimatter Legion came at us like a swarm of locusts, have you ever tried shooting locusts with a bow?" March 7th put her hands on her hips and sighed.

"I wouldn't have made a difference. My orbital cannon can deal with a whole bunch of enemies at once, but I couldn't just blow up the space station with it — Herta would NOT like that..." Himeko smiled and responded childishly like March 7th then she turned to ask Arlan. "Are you alright, Arlan? Asta's been worried about you."

"I'm fine, a quick patching up will do. Thanks for asking. I'll report the situation to Lead Researcher Asta immediately. Bye." Arlan replied and quickly left leaving the group standing there and continuing their conversation. Himeko saw that there was a new person in the group and she became curious and introduced herself to Stelle.

"Hey, nice to meet you. I'm Himeko, navigator of the Astral Express."

"In other words, she's in charge of where the Express goes." March 7th happily added.

"March hasn't been any trouble for you along the way, has she?" Himeko asked teasingly as she alluded to March 7th's childish personality.

"Stelle, think carefully about how you wanna reply to that." March 7th put her hands on her hips and spoke making her sound like a child pretending to be an adult making Vanitas chuckles quietly.

"In that case, I'd rather not answer." Stelle replied as they crossed their arms and rested their chins, lost in thought for a long moment.

"...Oh, looks like we have two Dan Hengs on our team now." March 7th said with a sulky look and teased Dan Heng, then she hugged Vanitas like a child hugging its mother made Vanitas laugh softly.. "It's just me and Miss Vanitas who are the only party girls here."

"Please leave me out of this." Dan Heng said helplessly and crossed his arms.

"Haha, look at you all, you've already gotten really close." Himeko giggled as she saw that they were getting along well, then she led them to where Asta was standing directing and checking on everyone. "Come on, Asta has been worried about all of you."
