Chapter 141: The Seven Swords of Taixu
"Holding… swords?" Kiana's eyes widened in confusion.
When Yun Mengxi mentioned there was more than one person, Kiana had thought it would be an organization like Fire Moth, or maybe even Shu's "Anti-Entropy" with their high-tech gear, who had rescued them.
But swords?
Fighting a Honkai Imperator with swords? Seriously? Was it possible that Shu's "Anti-Entropy" could actually make everyone as strong as Shu?!
That would be… seriously awesome!
Kiana's eyes sparkled. Shu wasn't alone! He had companions just like him!
"Wait, what about those people? Do you know where they went?" Mei's focus wasn't on how many saviors there were or who they were.
She was more concerned with whether they could find them.
Yun Mengxi shook her head, regretting that she didn't know more. "I got separated back then, I only caught a glimpse of them from far away, I have no idea where they went afterwards…"
And facing a monster like that, they might have already…
Yun Mengxi couldn't voice this thought, because in front of her, weren't these two's companion and captain in the same situation as those saviors?
The three sighed in unison, and Kiana silently continued stuffing biscuits into her mouth.
"Then… could you tell us about what happened back then?" Mei asked, unwilling to give up, pressing for more details.
"What happened then?" Yun Mengxi thought for a moment, recalling some details before nodding. "That's fine, I can't forget something like that easily anyway…"
"It was about half a month after the Honkai outbreak. My brother and I were searching for other survivors in parts of the city center we hadn't been to yet. We were heading towards Taixu Martial Hall, because my brother thought if there were any survivors there, they would definitely be a big help."
"But on the way, we encountered that Honkai Beast… It was the first time we'd ever seen a monster like that. Before that, we thought this disaster was just a widespread zombie outbreak…"
"So when that monster suddenly smashed through a building and cut into our path, everyone was caught completely off guard."
"Then the Honkai Beast attacked us. Luckily, there weren't many of us at the time, but…"
Yun Mengxi's expression turned somber, and she didn't continue.
But everyone understood what she was implying.
Even if there were only a few of them, being attacked when everyone was unprepared, it was impossible to escape unscathed.
And could anyone really survive an attack from that kind of monster?
Shu was one exception.
"After that, my brother and Shicheng-ge told me to run, and Sister Liu also pulled me away immediately to escape. Before that monster disappeared from our sight, I saw a few people jump down from a building, landing right on top of that Honkai Beast…"
"I see…" Mei lowered her head, lost in thought. "Taixu Martial Hall… Shu said he'd go there too after getting rid of the Honkai Imperator, right…"
"Isn't that Master Shifu's home?" Kiana mumbled through a mouthful of biscuits, her words slightly slurred, while she fumbled for her water bottle.
Mei wordlessly handed Kiana the water. Kiana gulped it down and wiped her mouth. "Sword users, really strong people… could they be Master Shifu's senior martial siblings?"
"Huh?" Mei and Yun Mengxi were both taken aback.
"Oh yeah… we were heading to Taixu Martial Hall that day… it's possible we ran into people from Taixu Martial Hall?" Yun Mengxi immediately started thinking seriously about this possibility.
"And, Taixu Martial Hall is most famous for the Seven Swords of Taixu… so does that mean we were actually saved by people from Taixu Martial Hall?" Yun Mengxi suddenly realized.
"Right, right, right, the only ones capable of fighting Honkai Beasts would be Master Shifu's senior martial siblings!" Kiana nodded enthusiastically, feeling quite pleased with herself, but then her expression turned puzzled again.
"Hmm… wait a minute, Master Shifu clearly said those were her disciples though…"
They had originally intended to rescue people, but it turned out they were rescued by people from Taixu Martial Hall instead.
"Wait, what's the Seven Swords of Taixu?" Mei blinked, looking at the two, realizing she seemed to be the only one out of the loop.
"Huh? Master Shifu hasn't told you about them?" Kiana was a bit surprised, but then she thought about it and understood.
Under what circumstances did Fu Hua tell her those stories?
Wasn't it always when she failed her exams and was cramming for retakes, and Fu Hua would tell her little stories on the side?
Kiana even remembered that at the beginning, she thought Fu Hua was just bragging.
What Seven Swords of Taixu… how old was Fu Hua herself? How could she possibly train seven disciples that were so strong?
And train them for ten years… totally unbelievable! Pure bragging!
Then Kiana was given a serious lecture by Fu Hua, and after that, Kiana actually became fascinated by martial arts novels from Shenzhou.
Though she never understood why they always veered into romance at the end…
"The Seven Swords of Taixu…" Yun Mengxi, on the other hand, didn't react much to Mei not having heard of the Seven Swords of Taixu.
She herself hadn't heard of the name either, until Yun Feng told her about them on their way to Taixu Martial Hall.
The reputation of these seven wasn't built by actively seeking fame, but rather, it was forged by countless experts from various paths and schools who were repeatedly defeated at Taixu Martial Hall.
Within that specific circle, their name might be thunderous, but outside of it, most people would only have a superficial understanding at best.
"The Seven Swords of Taixu are seven incredibly powerful people! All disciples of Master Shifu! I remember them being…"
Kiana then proceeded to recount the story Fu Hua had told her to Mei, complete with gestures.
Although she didn't tell it as well as Fu Hua, with Yun Mengxi occasionally adding details, Mei quickly understood what the Seven Swords of Taixu were.
In essence, they were the seven most skilled individuals in martial arts in the current era… no, perhaps they should add Master Shifu Fu Hua to the front of that.
Yun Mengxi, listening from the side, became increasingly shocked.
The Seven Swords of Taixu were actually trained by someone about their age?!
Huh?
And trained for ten years? That meant those seven were only seven or eight years old when they started training!
Was this the foundation of the Fire Moth organization? Even such super geniuses were members of this organization…
Herself…
Yun Mengxi subtly pursed her lips, forcefully suppressing the thoughts in her heart.
"Based on this, if those seven are alright, they should be at Taixu Martial Hall right now." Mei thought for a moment, then sighed.
The matters at Taixu Martial Hall were beyond their control. Their current priority was to wait for Yun Feng to return and discuss bringing everyone to the train.
