Horror :The Cautious Titan

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: The Horror Cruise Ends and the Copy Is Settled

Even with the truth flashing before them on the screen, no one could truly believe it.

The stillness was broken only when the urgent mosaic on the screen faded—

The camera revealed a haunting image: the bouquet of white lilies on the dining table was now stained a vivid crimson, and remnants of once-plated food were scattered chaotically around it.

And there, grotesquely placed on an empty dinner plate, was Trevor's head—eyes wide open in disbelief.

> [Congratulations to the player for killing the last ghost and completing "Terror Cruise" ahead of schedule.]

> [Human Camp: Lucas, One of a Hundred, Jason, Ivy, Chloe, Jasmine – WINNERS]

> [Ghost Camp: Natalie, Trevor, Mark, Daniel, Nathan, Caleb – ELIMINATED]

> [Rewards are being settled...]

> [...The victory of one side defines the tragedy of the other. Remember—only the dawn can bring hope. Tomorrow is a new day.]

On the dreaded horror cruise, this meant the game had ended.

The surviving members of the Human Camp were being resurrected and safely transferred out of the copy.

The rest—those eliminated—faced only one thing.

Death.

And yet, amidst the blood-soaked aftermath, a quiet figure stood alone on the sunlit deck.

Lucas.

The sole remaining player aboard the ship.

Finally, as if the tension had reached its boiling point, the spectators watching the live broadcast couldn't stay silent anymore.

They exploded in a frenzy of excitement and confusion.

> "What happened just now?! How did Lucas's stats suddenly spike like that?! That was insane!"

> "Oh my God. HE WON. I actually watched him win!"

> "Lucas is a freakin' LEGEND! [Beep—]!"

> "Wait—his newly boosted attribute values aren't dropping? Isn't that a SYSTEM BUG?!!!"

> "Bug or not, who cares? Lucas won with the good guys, and it was glorious to watch!"

As the stream continued, fans flooded Lucas's live broadcast room with tips and donations.

His popularity exploded.

In a matter of minutes:

Lucas shot up fifty places on the main live streamer leaderboard.

He now held Rank 64 overall.

On the newcomer list, he dominated with a staggering lead.

Elsewhere, players from the good camp were resurrected one after another.

They reappeared in their respective broadcast channels, each greeted with reward settlement prompts.

---

Jasmine's face twisted in frustration—not just from the humiliating rating—but because of what she saw next.

Her stat panel had changed.

> [Spirit: 95 (Your mental value has returned to its upper limit after resurrection)]

Her mental value's original cap had been 100.

Now, it was stuck at 95.

No matter what she did in the future, she would never reach full mental capacity again.

She trembled, thinking of Lucas—his blank expression, his unpredictable actions, his terrifying calm under pressure.

Lucas had left a permanent psychological scar.

---

Meanwhile, spectators across various live rooms started migrating.

All eyes were now on Lucas.

After all, he was the only player left standing on the Horror Cruise ship.

Slowly, his temporary attribute buffs started to decay, returning to normal.

He sat down in one of the deck chairs, visibly drained.

> "I'm so tired..."

> "Playing this game really is life-threatening…"

Just then, the system prompt appeared:

> [Main mission complete. Click to exit instance early.]

Lucas glanced at his panel. His mental value was recovering—from nearly empty to 10. Still too risky.

He didn't hesitate.

> [Archive mission?]

[Confirmed.]

> [Hidden plotline archive initiated. Player Lucas can unlock it during the next instance.]

> [Transmitting...]

As he clicked to exit, the screen dimmed.

The resentful spirits remaining aboard waved from the shadows as he vanished from their cursed ship.

> [..."Welcome back again," they whispered into the void.]

The screen turned black.

Lucas's live stream was officially over.

---

> "Wait, he's not continuing the exploration quest?"

> "Nah, Lucas doesn't look too good. He'll probably dig into the dungeon next time…"

While discussion buzzed, Lucas's final settlement began loading.
