Chapter 302: Eve of Revolt
(Drakken's POV)
"Look at you." I said as I held Maegelle by the waist, "My beautiful goddess, the mother of my daughter, My Maegelle…..how did you sleep?"
I gently caressed her cheek as she closed her eyes, taking in my touch as she pressed herself against me.
"Good." She said softly, "Drakken…..are you really taking the boys?"
She opened her eyes, looking right at me with them. They were so beautiful, her shade of purple was simply divine. Looking at them made me feel a certain type of way.
"Yes." I told her, "They are the Sons of Drakken, they need to learn War from a young age."
She frowned, "They are boys." She said, "They don't need to. They are very young, this could change them."
"I was thrown into war at a young age. I saw atrocities that changed my view of the world." I said, "This…..is necessary."
"But they're not you." She said softly
I narrowed my eyes, "What?"
"They may be your sons, your boys….." She said as she looked down, placing her hand on my chest, "But they are not you. No matter how hard they try, they will never be you. And I think you know that, you know they will never be Drakken."
"Hm." I said
"I understand that they love you, that they look up at you. They don't worship you as a god, they worship you as their Father." She said, "The example you're setting for them, for them to be strong…. it's good. But they're setting expectations too high, to be like you. What happens when they find out they can never be you? A God?"
I patted her cheek, "I don't want them to be." I told her, "They don't need to be Drakken. All they need to do is to grow up to be warriors capable of leading this House, this Army. That is all."
"I….." she said softly, concern in her eyes , "I don't want them to be consumed by an obsession to be like you."
I smiled, "So concerned for them." I said, "I feel your love towards them."
"I do love them. They're our boys…." She said
"Hm." I said, "Worry not about anything."
"I wouldn't want to give you a son that will consume himself to be like you, Drakken." She said as I pulled my hand away, "I want our children to he happy, to be themselves. I don't want them for this entire thing to be their undoing; their admiration for you."
"You…..are the mother of my daughter, a beautiful girl." I said, "She will inherit your kindness, I am sure. I can see it in Vaella's eyes, she will be the kindest soul…..which is surprising….but if you were to give me a son…."
I leaned in to her, briefly kissing her lips as she closed her eyes. I felt her breath hit my nose as I looked at her lips, so soft and small.
"Drakken…." She said softly
"My son will be the perfect balance between us. He will be strong…..and kind…." I told her, "The way you speak….about our sons….so motherly. It is arousing me…."
I held her firmer and ran my hand down to her rear, causing her to open her eyes and blush.
"I….I miss your warmth." She said softly
"Then…." I said softly,
"Allow me to share it with you."

(Third Person POV)
[Outside of Highgarden]
King Jaehaerys dismounted his dragon as a small force of nearly a hundred men stood before him. In front of the Tyrell soldiers, Septon Barth sat on a horse.
Jaehaerys stood in front of Vermithor as he looked at his former Hand, "Barth." He said, "I have heard the rumors….and I have been hoping they were not true."
Barth looked at him, "Your Grace." He said, "I am afraid that the Faith's patience has gone long enough."
Jaehaerys narrowed his eyes, "Don't do this." He said, "It is not wise, Old Friend."
"The Trinity and its blasphemy has spat in the face of The Seven for too long." Barth said seriously, "And House Targaryen has stood by and done nothing, watching that man violate everything that we have built, Your Grace."
"I understand." Jaehaerys said, "But there is a chance we can work things out. The Faith and The Trinity can coexist. Drakken's true enemy is The Red Cult, we can focus his ire to them. Asshai was not the only base that they have."
"And what? We declare war on Essos and send men to their death because he wants to avenge his woman?" Barth asked, "His Polygamy is also a sin, an insult to the Faith! You know it."
"You've watched me give my daughters to him as away to stave his wrath." Jaehaerys said seriously, "And you've done nothing against it."
"Lords and Kings have had mistresses for far longer than we can fathom." Barth said, "But to marry them is completely different. Don't make me remind you that he has tried to kill you and your family time and time again."
"If he wanted us dead, House Targaryen would he eradicated by now." Jaehaerys retorted, "That is the truth. I-"
"I know, Jaehaerys." Barth said seriously, "About Daenerys."
Jaehaerys sighed, "Barth…."
"That is not your daughter." Barth said, "And to think you would bend your knee to the Trinity…..I am sorry, Your Grace….but that is an abomination of nature."
"That is my daughter.". Jaehaerys said firmly, "And you will speak about her with respect."
"I am sorry, but the Houses of The Reach have had enough." Barth said, "With House Baratheon and its vassal houses, we will have to do something about this blasphemy."
"You won't survive." Jaehaerys said, "House Drakkengard aside, you cannot hope to win against Dragons. Drakken's constant torment and dominance over us have made you forget about the one thing that put us on top in the first place."
"I am more than aware." Barth said, "Balerion is healthy after all."
"Then why do this?" Jaehaerys said
"We'll rather die in flames than sit aside and watch a wretched and vile cult overtake our home." Barth said seriously,
"Drakken is no true god."
