How to raise a Russian Girlfriend!

Chapter 30: Ch. 30 - Yasaka’s rebellion!

"Yasaka! Do you even hear yourself!?" Yasaka's mother, Inari, stood abruptly and harshly scolded Yasaka.

"I am your mother!" She continued with a yell.

"And I am your daughter!" Only for Yasaka to retort in the same manner, causing Inari to take a step back and stare at her daughter with widened eyes.

"Yasaka that's enough!" Her father, seeing the tension between the two, tried to step in between, only for Yasaka to shut him down.

"Shut up, half-blood! The only reason you're here with us is because you're the only male Kitsune that have the blood of a Nine-tailed fox despite being diluted with other blood!" Yasaka's head took a sharp turn towards her pathetic excuse of a father and spat her words with a venomous tone.

"Yasaka you…." Her hurtful words caused her father to recoil in shock.

What could cause his daughter to suddenly snap like this? Was it because of the marriage to Fideus? Or was it something else?

Once she's done with her father, Yasaka shifted her attention to Inari and said coldly.

"The only reason you want to marry me off is because of Tokyo's Leylines, isn't it? You want to bring it under you thus making yourself stronger. It's all about the power, isn't it? To sacrifice your own blood and flesh for power…." Yasaka clenched her fists and glared heavily at Inari.

"Before you discovered the Leylines, you were once like the other mothers out there, you cared for me, for my sake, our people's sake but then you let yourself be blinded by power after you lost that fight against Sun Wukong." Yasaka slowly revealed, making Inari recall the humiliation she received from the Monkey King. A trauma that she wished to forget.

"…You're no longer the mother I used to adore, Inari. You're just a stray fox that wants nothing more than power." Without further ado, Yasaka turned around and left the dining hall, leaving the stunned Inari and her half-blood husband.

Thud!

Only when the door closed shut did they finally snap out of their minds.

"Yasaka!" Inari gritted her teeth.

"Guards!" As soon as she yelled the word, several Nekomata Yokais wearing black garbs jumped out of nowhere before landing in front of Inari—kneeling on the ground.

"Arrest Yasaka at all costs! Make sure she won't escape Kyoto!" She barked orders before the Yokais nodded their heads in unison and disappeared altogether.

"Inari, this is a bad idea. Maybe we can talk her throug—" Her husband stepped forward and tried to talk Inari out of it.

"Shut it, you filthy Half-Blood! I am your Queen and address me as such, don't casually call me by my name! Get out of my sight!"

"…Yes, my Queen." The man could only bow his head in shame and walk away.

***

Yasaka sped through the busy streets of Kyoto, her senses went haywire when she detected a bunch of Yokai Nekomatas following her from behind.

'Tsk.' She clicked her tongue and made a short detour towards a less busy street.

She knew they were following her to arrest her and they would stop at nothing to do their job, even if it involves killing a bunch of innocent people.

They're her mother's most capable assassination force that is at her beck and call. Not only do these guys have top-notch fighting capabilities but also strong enough to take down an Ultimate-class being once they work together.

And now, these guys are going to arrest her, take her, and bring her back to that hellish home.

'No! I won't make myself be a slave to her!' Determination filled her heart and she stopped abruptly when a Nekomata finally caught up to her and landed in front of her.

"Yasaka-sama. Please come with us." The Nekomata coldly stared at her.

"No, tell Inari if she wants to marry me off to Fideus, she might as well just offer herself instead of me," Yasaka responded in a sneering manner.

"…" The Nekomata showed no surprise and simply did their work.

The man dropped on all fours and his leg strength, courtesy of his Nekomata lineage, made his speed explosive.

Before Yasaka knew it, the cat was already in front of her in the blink of an eye.

She could only cross her arms and coat her forearms with Ki before tanking the Nekomata's claw strike.

Slash!

Thanks to her impressive constitution combined with her mastered control over her Ki she was able to tank the strike just fine.

At the same time, the other Nekomata assassins finally arrived, circling Yasaka.

"You have no chance against us, Yasaka-sama. It's ten against one." One of them stated, his tone masked with slight confidence.

Sure, Yasaka is a High-class being, almost bordering on Ultimate-class. But they're trained to defeat opponents stronger than them through the power of working together.

Basically, they're like the evil version of Power of Friendship.

"It's two against ten actually." Suddenly, a voice on top of them interrupted.

They all quickly stared at the sky in unison.

There stood or floated was a figure wearing a black garb and an ominous Oni mask, along with a black coloured Katana that gave them shivers.

It was Kenshin, looking down on them while holding a phone in his hand.

***

Let's go back a few minutes earlier.

Kenshin was on his way towards the train station when suddenly, he received a message notification from his phone. Normally he would ignore it and see to it later but his guts say otherwise and everyone knows that something is not right when your guts are telling you something.

So he checked and the message almost made his blood run cold.

It was a message from Yasaka.

{Yasaka: I have no time to talk. Need help right now please!}

Yasaka doesn't seem to be the type to ask someone for help, not to mention, say the word please.

Along with the message was a real-time location sent by her.

Looks like she's been truly studying smartphones if she could already send her location through a messaging app.

Thankfully, as if God is on his side, Kenshin was in Kyoto and the location she sent was a few blocks away from his current position.

Without hesitation, Kenshin's flight speed reached almost the speed of sound, with his mana masking the sonic booms that he's producing.

***

And now, in the present, it only took Kenshin an entire minute before arriving at Yasaka just in time as she was being ganged up by a bunch of Nekomatas wearing ominous black garb.

"I thought Yokais were supposed to be better than humans, is ganging up on women multiracial or something?" Kenshin commented while storing his phone inside his inventory.

"Did she call you for help?" One of the Nekomatas asked with furrowed eyebrows. They're trying to use their magical senses on the new arrival but for some reason—they couldn't detect his mana. Which isn't right as every living being in the world is supposed to have a minuscule amount of energy inside their body depending on the race. A devil has their demonic energy, angels have Holy Energy, Yokais have Ki and the majority of humans have mana.

'He's masking his mana. Is he a human? Or perhaps a stray devil? No, Yasaka-sama wouldn't have any affiliation with any devils, much less a stray.' After all, they've been tasked with monitoring everything that is happening inside Kyoto, and never once did they see Yasaka interacting with a devil.

'Either his body doesn't contain any energy and he's one of those unique cases of having Heavenly Restriction or he's strong enough to mask his energy.' The Nekomata concluded.

"If I were to say yes, what would you do?" Kenshin replied, slightly floating downwards. He's not comfortable talking to someone while flying, he's wasting mana, and knowing that there would be an upcoming fight, he'd preserve his mana as much as he could.

"Good, then you'll serve as an example of the consequences of going against the royal Nine-Tailed Fox Queen." Disappearing from his place, the Nekomata cautiously approached Kenshin intending to kill as fast as possible.

'He's quite fast.' Kenshin muttered to himself as he parried the Nekomata's claws with his Katana, causing sparks between them.

Clang!

'I was right. He's just masking his energy!' The Nekomata squinted his eyes at the sword that was glowing with a purple glow.

Kenshin quickly countered with a swift slash of his Katana, aimed not at his neck or head but at his claws.

Seeing this, the Nekomata mentally sneered.

His claws are sharp enough to cut through steel! Its durability is also higher than what it can cut.

How would a mere Katana do anyt—.

Cling!

Only for his eyes to widen in shock and fear when his sharp nails, a Nekomata's pride and joy, were sliced in a clean cut before his eyes.

"Nani!?" Even his fellow Nekomatas, who were trained to be cold and remain emotionless through all everything, couldn't help but wince at the sight of his cleanly cut claws as if sharing the same feeling as him.

Taking advantage of his stunned expression, Kenshin went for the kill.

Slice!

The Nekomata could've reacted in time if it weren't for the fact that Kenshin also used his mana to hold over his body.

Thud!

Everyone could only watch as his head fell from his shoulders and touched the pavement.

"Does anyone else want to follow?" Kenshin threatened while scanning his eyes around the crowd.

"….Kill him." Too bad for him, the Nekomatas are trained to be killers and have no fear of death.

"Sigh." Kenshin shook his head and sighed.

"Of course why would you listen to your opponent?" Kenshin shrugged his shoulders and muttered to himself.

Three Nekomatas jumped on him, brandishing their claws and coating them with their Ki.

Looks like the scene of their comrade having his class sliced off traumatized them slightly.

"Hahaha!" Kenshin laughed at them, which ticked a few as they seemed to grasp the reason behind his laugh.

Who could blame them? Their claws are like how men treasure their consoles, cars, shoes, and genitalia.

Their claws are their pride and the sharper it is, the more they can flex them to the others.

Fwoosh!

Fwoosh!

Fwooosh!

All of their attacks were met with Kenshin dodging easily through them, his sharp senses and flexible body made it easy to pass through them.

In retaliation, Kenshin's katana swiftly moved around him in a circling manner like a defensive barrier.

"Tsk!" Kenshin clicked his tongue when all the Nekomatas dodged his strikes.

'Dodge this then!' Kenshin's Oni mask suddenly spat a torrent of flames that took the shape of an eastern dragon.

Of course, the shape of the dragon was merely for show, it doesn't have any effect aside from being cool and all.

The Nekomata, not expecting their opponent to unleash such a huge amount of flames in an instant, failed to react in time and sustained heavy burns.

"Grr!"

The other Nekomatas weren't idle either, with one of them dead and three occupied with the new threat, the remaining six turned their attention to Yasaka.

But would Yasaka lose?

Now that their number has been reduced, Yasaka could easily defeat the six of them. If it takes ten of them to take down an Ultimate-class being through sheer teamwork and planning, then an unexpected situation of six fighting against a near Ultimate-class being would take away their advantage.

"ROAARR!" Her figure transformed into her Nine-tailed fox form, towering over the buildings around them.

Seeing this, Kenshin immediately cast a barrier around them, large enough to cover a football field and have a hypnotizing effect on any humans inside to leave, and those outside to avoid the barrier.

Kenshin recently created this spell by taking inspiration from the Curtain techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen.

'This way, no one would notice the large-scale fight. Though suspicion might arise when people suddenly see the destruction around them once the barrier is down.' Kenshin muttered under his breath.
