HP X LOTM : Please Call Me Mr. Error.

Chapter 413: Deduction.

The thoughts hadn't come out of nowhere.

They had emerged after Loki had poured most of his occasional time asking himself the same question again and again over the last year.

It had started during the Summer Camp at the Flamel's when Loki had asked them the question-

'What had happened to the Higher Sequence Beyonders of the Darkness Pathway?'

Although Nicolas and Prenell had given him a logical answer about it being very difficult to simply stay alive after a person became a demigod, Loki couldn't digest the answer.

He instinctively felt that there was something wrong with it.

And it wasn't because of a hunch or something superstitious.

It was because Loki couldn't understand who could be strong enough to wage a war against the Black family and win at it?

In a family where traitors were executed and rules were followed to the dot so that their perception to the outside world remained murky and mysterious, the Black name carried weight.

Its weight was the first thing that was a deterrent enough for other people to not pick a fight with it.

Especially since the weight of that name came out of the greatest pride of the Black Family.

It was the Oldest and Noblest House of Black.

Normally being the oldest meant that the bonds surrounding it would've become a strain. Turning from elastic frameworks meant to prop up the structure into a bog that only worked to drown it-

But in the Beyonder world…things were very different.

Having more time directly equated to having more opportunities as long as you could remain alive.

And Loki didn't think that remaining alive was a hard thing for a family that followed the Darkness pathway to do. Especially with all their concealment abilities.

But their concealment abilities weren't the only thing that should've helped them.

It was clear to Loki that Salazar Slytherin had meant to have his descendants welcome the next Error Pathway Beyonder, either on direct orders from Loki himself or from divining things about fate after Loki had seemingly disappeared.

But the preparations were far from stellar, weren't they?

The only reason Loki even ever came onto the Error pathway in this world was because of a coincidence of having seen the Error Blasphemy Card.

And ruling out Dumbledore's ability to have set up such a coincidence, since he wasn't knowledgeable of the Lord of the Mysteries Pathways, it was clear that someone else had set it up.

It was clear that whatever Salazar Slytherin had aimed to do had failed, at least partially.

So what then was it that constantly made the Black family descendants so bold and open-minded, even though their high level Beyonders kept dying so often?

What had forced the Black family's descendants to abandon their protection to venture into the world so bravely when not even their pathway's true god had made it safely and was asleep?

And even worse was that this trait was carried down each family member, even ones like Sirius who despite being against much of what the Black Family's misunderstood tradition stood for was a total anarchist.

The trait was present even in Sirius's brother, his uncle, Regulus Artcus Black, who had sacrificed his own life to take down a part of the soul of Voldemort.

This trait was what set off a strange theory in Loki's head.

'Since each child of the Black Family consumed excess Beyonder Characteristics and then gave birth to children that were already at Sequence 5, what if the wills of the ancestors of the family were carried through? Generation after generation without anyone realising any better?'

'What if that was a part of the plan Salazar had hastily planned for the future with the little time he had after he had to fall asleep in a crystal, waiting to be rescued by Loki in the future?'

The second clue Loki had was the murmurings that had stopped after ascending to Sequence 5.

Even though the fact that the murmurings had stopped was really weird-

'Why had they existed in the first place?'

Specifically, why was he hearing the name of Walburga in the murmurings that he heard during his advancement?

He could understand his connection with Hogwarts since Loki hadn't yet forgotten the close feeling of spiritual significance it and the things inside it gave to him.

Given his proximity to the Founders, it wasn't hard to think that Loki had left something for himself in the castle.

'But why Walburga?'

After Loki had taken the Error Blasphemy Card from the basement of the Black Family, why was his fate still connected to Walburga?

This had struck a spark in Loki's imagination.

'Although I don't yet know why I heard those murmurings, if I heard them during my advancement ritual…was it to inform me about my connection to Walburga?'

'That there was something about her that I had missed on my first glance?'

'Perhaps Salazar Slytherin had hidden something relating to the Error Pathway in the family of his followers?'

And so when Loki's gaze locked onto the thin spirit body thread that left Walburga while following her own spirit thread closely-

Loki had come to a simple but important question-

'Perhaps there was an incident that prevented Salazar Slytherin from performing any more preparations for me in the future.'

'As such he couldn't take the proper precautions to make sure that the information was delivered to me.'

'So he took a rather complicated method to keep the information for me.'

'And if it is assumed that 'She' was the one responsible for Salazar and the other founders to 'fall asleep', that means that 'She' had likely sent someone to 'spy' on the Black Family so that 'She' could know whatever Salazar and the other founders had planned.'

'Perhaps she was after the person Salazar was setting up the coincidences in the Error pathway for too?'

And what better way to do it with the help of an immortal being that could be fully controlled without anyone ever realising that it was with them?

Loki's heart beat faster as he reached this conclusion.

Since he had only a single solution to all these points he had uncovered.

'Salazar's preparation for me has to do something with the Error pathway. And if 'She' wants to learn about it, that also means that it has something to do with the Error pathway.'

'Above all, the murmurings, although I don't have proof to accuse someone of creating them for me, are also linked to the Error pathway.'

'So whatever 'She' did to keep an eye on the Black family throughout history involves the Error pathway in some way.'

'And the only way that comes to mind which would support all these conclusions would be the Sequence 3 or higher Error pathway Beyonders or Mystical Items of a similar level.'

'Since only those Sequences have the ability to hide in wait inside a human without anyone else's knowledge.'

'The demon, throughout history, has probably been parasitising the lives of the head of the Black Family at each generation. Trying to figure out and keep an eye out to learn of the plan that Salazar Slytherin had created.'

It had likely been siphoning the life force of each family head to extend its own lifespan, a side effect of which was what drove the multiple Black Family Heads to insanity through loss of control.

And observing Walburga's soul had only proved it right.

Walburga's soul was currently parasitized.

As such Loki looked at it all with some glee before taking in deep breaths to calm himself.

'This will be a little difficult.'

'But…'

'Interesting.'
