Humanity’s Great Sage

Chapter 696: You Are Doomed

Pei Yuanhua was an old man. However, since he was a successful cultivator, he looked like he was only in his forties or fifties, and his skin was glowing.

Supposedly, after Ye Ying and his children were killed, Tyrant Blade Manor would be destroyed as well.

Nevertheless, at this moment, the manor looked like a sleeping beast that would flare up and reveal its hideous teeth at any moment.

The Ninth Elder was as powerful as Pei Yuanhua was, but he went missing after barging into the manor. That was why Pei Yuanhua was wary.

He didn’t understand how things ended up like this.

No one knew how Pang Wanhai was killed. Although many people left the manor that day, no one had witnessed the battle.

With that said, from what they had gathered, there was supposed to be an expert behind Ye Six’s back. Moreover, the expert was well-versed in the Way of Wards.

At the very least, the person was more powerful than the Ninth Elder, who was also a Ward Cultivator. The other day, he offered to come to the manor to find out what had happened, and he went missing after that.

“You can’t hide forever, can you?” Pei Yuanhua said through clenched teeth while looking in the manor’s direction.

Even though he was wary of the intimidating wards, a Ward Cultivator was usually weak. As long as the person was deprived of room to use his power, he wouldn’t pose a serious threat.

Although many cultivators from Divine Will Sect were killed, they didn’t manage to get Tyrant Blade Technique. Xiong Tieshan was enraged. If not for the fact that he had to recuperate, he would’ve come to the manor.

Before that, he had ordered Pei Yuanhua to destroy the Ye siblings at all costs. He had been in the martial world for years, so he understood that he had to destroy his enemies and their family members to prevent any trouble in the future.

As long as the Ye siblings were still alive, he would never be at ease.

Suddenly, some people were heard shrieking, and there were also some fluctuations of Spiritual Power. Pei Yuanhua immediately looked in that direction, only to see Saber Lights flickering several kilometres away. While monitoring the manor, the cultivators there were killed all of a sudden.

A young man was seen moving around amid the Saber Lights.

“How dare you!” Pei Yuanhua bellowed. He swung his sleeves and leapt into the sky like an eagle before charging forward in that direction.

He was trying to come up with a way to force Lu Ye to come out when the other party revealed himself. Lu Ye even had the guts to kill the cultivators from Divine Will Sect.

No one noticed how he had left the manor.

Several kilometres away, Lu Ye stood there with the saber in his hand as he was surrounded by some corpses.

Those from Divine Will Sect believed there was an expert behind Lu Ye’s back, but they didn’t know that he was the one building all the wards around the manor. Not only was he well-versed in the Way of Wards, but he was also adept at assassinations.

The Ye Six in Soaring Dragon Boundary was no longer the same one. He was Lu Ye, who was known as one of the Three Banes of Spirit Creek and the Annihilator of Sects after he made a name for himself on the Spirit Creek Battlefield and Cloud River Battlefield.

Those cultivators from Divine Will Sect weren’t powerful, to begin with. As such, there was no chance for them to survive when Lu Ye tried to ambush them.

In truth, Lu Ye could’ve even killed Pei Yuanhua if he had wanted to do so.

However, his goal wasn’t to kill his enemies but to lure them away. As such, he decided to reveal himself.

When he looked up, he saw a figure charging towards him from a distance. His aura suggested that he was an Eighth-Order Master. Lu Ye instantly realised the person was a Manager or even an Elder from Divine Will Sect.

From afar, Pei Yuanhua could see Lu Ye stepping on a cultivator from Divine Will Sect. Despite his struggle, the cultivator was unable to get away from Lu Ye.

Pei Yuanhua bellowed, “How dare you, brat!”

Lu Ye exerted more force on his leg to respond to him. A dent was instantly formed in the cultivator’s chest. The next moment, he sprayed out a mouthful of blood with bits of his organs, and his vitality was rapidly leaving his body.

“You’re asking for death!” Pei Yuanhua barked.

Certainly, he didn’t care about the death of a cultivator. He was furious because Lu Ye was provoking him.

Soon, there was only a distance of five hundred metres between them. Only then did Lu Ye calmly leap into the air and run away.

The next instant, rays of light shot into the sky from around the manor and broke through the sky like a meteor shower as they ran after Lu Ye.

On the island in the centre of the saber-shaped lake, Yi Yi knew that Lu Ye had made a move as she listened to the noise outside. However, she didn’t take any action rashly. Instead, she told Amber to look after Ye Liuli before she snuck out of the manor and inspected her surroundings.

She found some cultivators from Divine Will Sect who had stayed back. However, they were all weak, so they were powerless to counterattack when Yi Yi launched a sneak attack on them. They soon lost their lives.

Around one hour later, the White Tiger leapt out of the manor with two young girls on its back and headed north.

There was a narrow valley in the east that was a hundred kilometres away from Tyrant Blade Manor.

The cultivators from Divine Will Sect tried very hard and finally managed to besiege Lu Ye in the valley, making sure he wasn’t able to flee. They weren’t aware that it was part of Lu Ye’s plan.

“Brat, let’s see if you’ll survive this time!” Pei Yuanhua yelled.

Lu Ye slowly unsheathed his saber. The unpleasant sound of his weapon leaving the sheath was torture to their ears, making them feel like countless ants were climbing on their hearts.

He lowered his gaze and said impassively, “I don’t know if I’ll survive, but…”

The next moment, he disappeared from the spot and appeared in front of Pei Yuanhua, whose expression changed as the other party was too dexterous.

[Has he been acting weak?]

Such a laughable thought formed in his mind all of a sudden. At the same time, his body reacted instinctively as a Spirit Artifact that looked like a ruler appeared in his hand. He infused his Spiritual Power into the weapon, which split into several phantoms as he tried to strike Lu Ye.

However, he felt like he had fallen into an ice cave the next instant.

It was broad daylight, but he felt as though darkness had suddenly descended upon him, and countless Stars came into his sight.

Immense pressure and aggression engulfed him like a mountain, making him immovable.

[Tyrant Blade Technique!]

Pei Yuanhua was flabbergasted, for the attack was more powerful than what he had imagined.

He was part of the team when they fought Ye Ying previously. Ye Ying had used this move before his death, causing Xiong Tieshan and the Chief Elder to be injured. The reason Pei Yuanhua was fine was that the attack wasn’t targeted at him.

However, he remembered the attack vividly as he had witnessed it.

Compared to Ye Ying’s attack, even though Ye Six’s was slightly inferior, it wasn’t much weaker.

[This brat is very young. How did he manage to master Tyrant Blade Technique? I’ve never heard that his mastery of the blade technique is so advanced!]

He wasn’t aware that Ye Ying could only enter the space of inheritance every half a month or one month back then. On the other hand, Lu Ye could enter the place four to five times every day.

What he had learned in half a month was equivalent to seven to eight years of hard work for Ye Ying.

Lu Ye could be considered a beginner when it came to his mastery of the Tyrant Blade Technique. He was able to activate a fraction of the blade technique’s power.

He probably wasn’t comparable to Ye Ying. After all, Ye Xiong’s attack the other day was more powerful than what Lu Ye could now showcase.

As he launched the attack, his Spiritual Power was also leaving him fast.

In fact, he didn’t have to use Tyrant Blade Technique to deal with an Eighth-Order Master. Although the blade technique was intimidating, it required the user to consume a lot of energy.

Nevertheless, Lu Ye still used it to look at his progress so far.

He needed an opponent to use this move on to find out how much he had learned. If he only practised on his own, he might not realise his weaknesses.

Pei Yuanhua could see that the Stars came crashing down under the night sky. On the other hand, what the cultivators from Divine Will Sect saw was that everything else in the world paled. The dazzling Saber Light was all they could see.

The ruler’s phantoms came apart. Lu Ye brushed past Pei Yuanhua, and it wasn’t until a moment later that he finished his sentence. “I know you’re doomed!”

Behind him, Pei Yuanhua was rooted to the spot as though he had been struck with lightning. His face twitched, and his gaze was filled with horror.

[How is it possible that Ye Six is so powerful?]

Even though Tyrant Blade Technique was mighty, it required one to have ample cultivation to fully activate its power. Ye Six was only a Sixth-Order Master. Although he could use Tyrant Blade Technique, he supposedly wasn’t able to destroy Pei Yuanhua. However, the truth was that he had achieved that.

It dawned on Pei Yuanhua that Lu Ye had been acting weak the entire time. Those from the Divine Will Sect had always underestimated him. If he wasn’t killed, their Sect would be destroyed sooner or later.

Blood streamed out of his wound and soon dyed his clothes red.

On the outside, Pei Yuanhua didn’t look like he was injured, but his heart had been wounded.

The first move of the Tyrant Blade Technique was a stab.

As Lu Ye let out a breath, the corpse behind him collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Meanwhile, the cultivators from Divine Will Sect were horrified.

With the Third Elder in charge, they were finally able to stop Lu Ye from fleeing. They initially thought it would be easy to destroy him, but it turned out that the Third Elder was killed before they could even make a move.

None of them in the valley could clearly see what had happened.

“Third Elder…” someone called out in a shaky voice, hoping that Pei Yuanhua would stand up and continue to instruct them. Certainly, he wouldn’t get any response.

The next moment, everyone exclaimed.

Since the strongest cultivator on their side Pei Yuanhua was killed, there was no way they were a match for Lu Ye.

When a bold person saw that everyone was terrified, he immediately bellowed, “Go get him together! He’s only one person!”

In such a situation, they couldn’t disperse and flee. Otherwise, Lu Ye would have a chance to destroy them one by one. They would only stand a chance to survive by joining forces.

Realising that the person was right, they finally came to their senses.

Even though Ye Six was powerful, he was on his own while there were over thirty cultivators from Divine Will Sect. If they joined forces, there was no way they would lose the fight.

Moreover, it was said that one would need to consume a lot of energy to use Tyrant Blade Technique. Perhaps Ye Six was already on his last legs after using the move.

Nevertheless, their hope was soon crushed as Lu Ye made a move the moment the person finished speaking.

Ye Xiong was drained of all energy after using the move because he hadn’t mastered Tyrant Blade Technique. Even though the move was taxing for Lu Ye, it was still bearable.

Presently, he still had the energy to fight.
