Chapter 424: Chapter 425: Real Monster Festival
Listening to Alexander's words, Hestia blushed furiously. However, as a goddess who rarely admitted her mistakes, she pouted and stared at Alexander indignantly.
"So, are you going to eat this or not?"
"Fine, fine. I'll eat it."
Alexander took a small bite of the crepe Hestia held out. He had to admit it was quite delicious. Seeing him enjoy the treat, Hestia couldn't help but laugh cheerfully.
"Alexander, do you think any monsters will cause trouble today?"
"Well..." Alexander began, ready to deny the possibility, when suddenly, an enraged roar erupted behind him.
ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!
Alexander froze. "Good thing I didn't say it was impossible. Otherwise, I'd be eating my words right now."
Turning around, Alexander saw various monsters pouring out from all directions. The peaceful marketplace surrounding the Colosseum quickly descended into chaos as people screamed and fled in terror.
"Help! The monsters are loose!"
"Somebody find the adventurers!"
"Where are the gods? Where are they?!"
The air filled with cries of panic, and the once-bustling square became a scene of disorder.
"What's going on? Why does this always happen? And how does that guy Bell manage to attract so much trouble?" Alexander muttered helplessly, blaming Bell, even though he was nowhere to be seen.
Unbeknownst to Alexander, this incident had nothing to do with Bell at all.
BOOM!
A massive silver-backed monster appeared in front of Alexander, its ferocious roar shaking the ground. Alexander recognized this monster—it was the same one that had nearly killed Bell in the original story.
"This thing again?" Alexander sighed. "But it seems you chose the wrong MC to target."
Without hesitation, Alexander clenched his fist and delivered a powerful punch to the silverback.
BOOM!
The monster didn't even have time to react. It exploded into pieces, scattering flesh and blood everywhere like a popped balloon.
Watching the gory scene unfold, Alexander couldn't help but think of a certain caped bald hero.
"Blowing things up with one punch is kind of fun," Alexander mused as he turned his attention to the other monsters causing havoc in the city. Calmly, he extended a finger to the sky.
CRACKLE!
A massive thunderbolt descended from above, striking the monsters and reducing them to ash in an instant.
"Come with me, Hestia," Alexander said, picking her up effortlessly. With a light step, he leapt into the sky, giving them a bird's-eye view of the chaos below.
From this vantage point, Alexander scanned the area. "Found them."
A confident smile spread across his face as he summoned a glowing golden sword.
Excalibur (The Sword of Promised Victory).
Though the weapon was powerful enough to destroy the entire city, Alexander didn't intend to go that far. With Hestia clutching his neck, he steadied himself and took a deep breath.
"Hold on tight, Hestia."
"Got it!" she replied, wrapping her arms securely around him.
Breath of Thunder: First Form – Thunderclap and Flash: Hundredfold!
In an instant, Alexander became a streak of yellow lightning, darting across the city. Whether it was a Level 1 wild wolf or a Level 3 raging demon boar, every monster fell before his thunderous blade.
Meanwhile, on a nearby street, Lefiya, Tiona, Tione, and Ais were locked in battle against three enormous Venomous Demon Flowers. Ordinarily, with three Level 5 adventurers present, such monsters would pose no threat. Unfortunately, none of them had their weapons due to the festival's festivities.
"It's so tough!" Tione groaned, punching one of the monsters only to hurt her own hand.
Lefiya, already gravely injured by the poisonous vines, lay bleeding on the ground. Despite her condition, Ais and the others continued to fight furiously.
Tiona and Tione's arms were tangled in the demon flowers' vines, and Ais was struck squarely by a powerful blow from one of the monsters.
