"Private Property, No Trespassing."

By the side of the path, a green sign stood in the grass.

"Buzz..."

A black sedan drove over the small blades of grass on the path.

The driver was not Illumi, but rather a person sent by Sylvia to pick him up.

Illumi, meanwhile, assumed Fletcher's identity and, wearing a golden mask, headed to the Siegrid Family's estate.

This was Crux-Gran District, a very high-end and famous villa area on the outskirts of Guilder City.

The Siegrid family was also a very well-known family in the United States of Edimia, and certainly a top family locally.

The election had passed two months ago. Demetrius Siegrid, supported by numerous arms dealers and capitalists, won with an absolute advantage. For the next four years, he would remain the mayor of Guilder City.

"Click."

The sedan stopped in front of an iron gate. Illumi pressed down the window, looking at the magnificent manor castle.

This was the Siegrid family's estate, covering 3,000 mu, with vast grasslands, forests, and rivers, all featuring beautiful scenery.

"Clang~"

The iron gate made a "clang" sound and opened automatically. The sedan entered the estate with a roar of its engine.

The sedan drove straight until it stopped at the main entrance of the castle. A man dressed as a butler stepped forward to open the car door for Illumi.

Illumi got out of the car and followed the butler through the castle's main entrance, walking into the interior of the castle. After passing through a spacious corridor, they arrived at a large door.

"Mr. Fletcher."

At the door, two fair-skinned and beautiful maids bowed and greeted him, then turned and pushed open the large door.

"Creak~"

Amidst a grating sound of the door opening, Illumi slowly stepped inside.

Inside the door was a rectangular European-style hall, with three white sofas arranged in the center. To the left was a dark red fireplace, which was not in use as it was summer.

Above the fireplace, a picture frame hung, containing a portrait of a stern-faced, black-haired man with curly hair.

To the right, a large rectangular window.

On the other side, the yellowish-white walls were covered with various exquisite oil paintings.

"Give me a detailed account of what happened."

A deep, resonant voice echoed in the hall. Illumi looked towards the source of the voice: a tall, white-haired man stood with his back to him, facing the window.

On the sofa sat a capable woman in a pure black suit, with shoulder-length short hair and a beautiful face.

Illumi glanced left and right out of the corner of his eye. Two burly men in black suits stood on either side of the main door.

Clearly, the people in this room were Demetrius and Sylvia, along with their two Nen-user subordinates.

"We went to Thaddeus's gang factory…"

Illumi slightly modified the content and reported it piece by piece to Demetrius. This was what he had already prepared before coming.

"Then, what about the golden mask?"

Demetrius slightly turned, looking at Illumi, or rather, at the cedar box in his hand.

Illumi stepped forward, placed the box on the coffee table in front of the sofa, and opened it.

"After four months of twists and turns, it finally returned to our hands."

Sylvia looked at the golden mask inside the box, murmuring softly.

"You may withdraw."

Demetrius instructed. Illumi and the other two men in black immediately turned and walked out, and the large door gently closed.

"Strange."

Illumi looked back at the door, but he was actually looking at the emotions lingering around the two people inside the door. Neither of them had any negative emotions; there was only calmness and harmony.

"What's wrong?"

The other two bodyguards stood on either side of the door, and seeing him standing still, they asked.

"Nothing."

Illumi gently shook his head and walked deeper into the corridor, speaking as he walked.

"I'm going to rest a bit."

He tried to speak as little as possible to avoid revealing his identity. Although the possibility was small, Nen abilities were strange and varied, and he couldn't rule out the possibility of the other party becoming suspicious.

The two black-clad bodyguards had no suspicions and let him leave.

In the hall, Sylvia closed the box and looked at Demetrius, who was standing by the window.

"How should we handle the golden mask?"

Demetrius, with his hands clasped behind his back, looked out the window at the lawn, river, and woods of the estate, and said in a deep voice.

"For now, seal it in the collection vault. Don't let anyone touch it."

"Your father is dead, and we don't have a suitable candidate yet."

Sylvia remained silent for a moment, then closed the cedar box, pulled open the large door, and walked out of the hall.

After Sylvia left, Demetrius immediately trembled, his eyes glowing red, and his clasped hands clenched into fists.

His finger joints cracked, like a drug addict's.

"Whoosh~"

After a long time, Demetrius finally recovered. He took a deep breath, and the red light in his eyes faded.

"The Greed Mask."

"Four years ago, if it weren't for that person, I probably wouldn't exist anymore."

If Illumi were there at that moment, he would witness a rather shocking scene.

A large amount of dense blue smoke lingered around Demetrius, almost filling the entire hall.

Furthermore, these smokes condensed into human-shaped skeletons, drifting back and forth in the hall, like a hellish realm.

"Hmm?"

Illumi, who was currently investigating the terrain and area divisions within the castle, suddenly turned his head.

"What's this feeling?"

Illumi's gaze was directed towards the hall where Demetrius was.

Just a moment ago, a surge of energy within him had stirred, seemingly eager to burst out of his body.

But as far as his eyes could see, human figures shrouded in various mists moved back and forth within the castle, yet none of them gave him that same feeling he had just experienced.

"It's not an illusion."

Illumi was very sure that the feeling just now had come very suddenly and disappeared just as quickly.

He suspected that there was someone in this castle who could control their emotions to the extreme.

Although such a thing was almost impossible, the Hunter world was full of strange things, so it wasn't impossible for it to exist.

"I'll come again tonight."

Illumi thought to himself. This matter was very peculiar, and he cared about it deeply, even more than the golden mask.

On the other side, Sylvia carried the cedar box containing the golden mask to a basement.

This basement was like a bank vault, with a strict security system and surveillance cameras placed in every corner.

"Beep beep..."

Sylvia came to the vault door, entered the password, and the round vault door opened with a "creak." Inside were glass display cases.

Each glass display case contained a collectible.

Items of historical significance left over from different eras, different countries, and even ethnic minorities that had been wiped out.

All these collectibles were obtained by her father, Severiano Siegrid, by spending large sums of money or by force.

And the reason her father collected these things was at her grandfather's instruction.
