Chapter 109: Chapter 109: The Computer Girl, Altan
A young man in black with piercing eyes.
A girl with long red hair and a cute expression.
A man with a gloomy face, his body scarred and mutilated.
A bald, unremarkable figure.
A girl with long blonde hair.
In the next moment, all these figures appeared in a crystal ball.
"Crack!"
A faint sound echoed as a crack formed.
Kaizen felt his consciousness withdraw at an intense speed.
Moments later, he opened his eyes.
With a thought, a figure materialized in front of him, and a flood of information surged into his mind.
"Computer girl... Elutan."
"No, to be precise—Altan."
Kaizen looked at the blond girl standing before him. Like Killer Queen and Raiken, she was from memories of his previous life. Altan came from a world called Angel Heart, a world where she was a 'computer girl.'
She wasn't human, but a program. Despite this, her combat skills were leagues beyond an average person, granting her limited flight abilities. However, in this world, Altan's prowess would fall short. Here, her strength was not in battle but in intelligence gathering.
She was a digital mastermind, equipped with a nearly unbreakable firewall and elite intrusion capabilities.
Meteor City itself reflected some of these characteristics. Its streets, much like the Zoldyck Manor, had birthed unique beings—a place where Kaizen's Nen Beasts, like the Killer Queen, could thrive.
Kaizen nodded in satisfaction. "For a strategist, personal power is essential, but so is intelligence gathering."
His mind raced with plans. "I'd initially hoped to find someone for this role in future alliances, similar to Shalnark's position in the Phantom Troupe."
"But now, with Altan, I don't need to. Her cyber capabilities will surpass any other. There's no firewall she can't penetrate."
As Kaizen pondered, he felt his aura deepen. Each new beast brought feedback to his strength; Altan was no exception.
"I've hit a solid C-rank level now," he thought, "with an aura that outstrips most others."
Just then, a knock at the door signaled Zeno's return. Kaizen stood to greet him.
"Are you ready, Grandpa Zeno?" Kaizen asked.
"Yes, it's time," Zeno replied, his usual calm demeanor intact.
Kaizen gave a last look around. "This big recruitment gave me a lot to think about. Staying in Meteor City longer won't help me grow."
"So, will you come back to the Zoldyck Manor?"
Kaizen shook his head. "I'll start with Heavens Arena. I'll return to the manor when I've met my goal in a year."
As they prepared to leave, a young girl dashed toward them—a girl with short, black hair and black-rimmed glasses. She wore a long-sleeved sweater and jeans, looking no older than twelve or thirteen.
A name sprang into Kaizen's mind. Shizuku. He recognized her from his memories of the Phantom Troupe.
"Grandpa Zeno, mind if I take her with us?"
Zeno glanced at Shizuku, then gave a brief nod.
With eleven new followers, Kaizen and Zeno left Meteor City in a bus arranged by the elders. Sitting in his seat, Kaizen mapped out his next steps.
"My original plan was to take the Hunter Exam and absorb the insights it offers. But now I wonder, should I push even further—perhaps try Greed Island?"
