Hunter X Hunter: The Strongest Assassin Of The Zoldyck Family!

Chapter 274: Chapter 274: The Roar of Wendy's Wind Dragon!

Dominica shook her head, her expression a mix of awe and disbelief.

'Even among the Zoldyck family, Kaizen must be top-tier, right? Otherwise, this doesn't make any sense at all.'

The Zoldycks were an elite lineage, unmatched in their prowess, but the royal family of Fiora wasn't far behind. Wendy's talent was already considered exceptional among her generation—after all, she had earned the title of Son of the Dragon. Yet, Kaizen's abilities defied all expectations.

Before, when Kaizen displayed strength surpassing Wendy's, Dominica had been shocked but could rationalize it. She assumed Kaizen had simply trained in Nen longer than Wendy. That would explain why he was ahead.

But now, comparing Kaizen's progress to their last encounter, Dominica realized something startling: his growth rate was far beyond Wendy's.

What did that mean?

It meant that Kaizen wasn't just stronger—he was more talented.

The reasoning was undeniable. If Wendy couldn't match Kaizen, then neither could the so-called Son of the Star or the Son of the Beast.

(T/N: In the Fiora royal family, three prestigious titles were bestowed upon individuals of exceptional talent: the Son of the Dragon, the Son of the Star, and the Son of the Beast. Previously, the title was the Son of the Head instead of the Son of the Beast, but this was incorrect.)

Dominica considered the implications.

'Even with Wendy's royal lineage, if she and Kaizen join forces, it's unlikely she'll be the dominant one. More likely... it'll be Kaizen.'

Would that be a blessing for the Fiora royal family? Or for the Dragon Dojo?

Her eyes flickered with thought.

'Well, it's all speculation. No one can predict the future. After all, they're still just kids.'

At the moment, both Kaizen and Wendy were only eleven years old.

...

Heavens Arena.

Doppo sat cross-legged before the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, gazing out at the city skyline.

"Even though I had already estimated Kaizen's strength highly, I still underestimated him."

Killing three core members of AKA with such ease—Kaizen's current power might already surpass his own.

"It's terrifying."

Maybe, inviting Kaizen to join TST had been the best decision of his life.

Initially, Kaizen had approached TST looking for sparring partners. Doppo had agreed, seeing great potential in him.

But now?

Kaizen had outgrown them so quickly that soon, it would be TST that needed Kaizen—not the other way around.

Elsewhere, Shizuku and Nina continued their structured training, steadily climbing the floors. Killua had entered the training grounds, while Sadaso stood off to the side, facing a harsh truth—

The gap between him and Killua was only getting wider.

"I'm really, really weak..."

Sadaso sighed, recalling his past encounters. He once saw Kaizen as a target, but Kaizen's full capabilities remained a mystery even now. Then he turned his attention to Nina, but she quickly left him in the dust. And now Killua was doing the same.

"They're all geniuses."

"And I'm just... an ordinary person."

Ordinary people could only take the path of ordinary progress. Slow, steady, and patient.

"One step at a time."

Sadaso exhaled, trying to steel his resolve.

...

Training Ground.

"Blade Storm!"

A flurry of wind blades erupted, cutting through the air toward Kaizen.

He stepped back, his movements swift and precise. Akutagawa Ryunosuke, his beast partner, managed to block some of the wind blades, but not all of them. After all, Ryunosuke was an offensive-type beast, not a defensive one.

Kaizen adjusted his stance, dodging most of the wind blades while deflecting the rest with his weapon.

"Ding!"

Sparks flew as Kaizen's blade intercepted the attack.

Though his weapon had yet to awaken, its sheer durability was impressive.

Wendy narrowed her eyes as her assault was completely nullified. Frustration crept in, but admiration for Kaizen's skill grew stronger.

"Is this really all I can do?"

Dominica had urged her to go all out, and Wendy intended to prove herself.

But more than that—she wanted Kaizen to witness the true power of the device Dominica had given him.

It was a defensive-type Nen artifact, designed to deploy an automatic shield upon impact. Though not invincible, it could serve as a critical safeguard in battle.

However, even after attacking with everything she had, Wendy had yet to activate it.

That left only one option.

Wendy locked eyes with Kaizen.

"Brace yourself. My next move won't be like the others."

She took a deep breath.

The air around her stirred, forming swirling currents. The pressure in the atmosphere dropped as she inhaled deeply, pulling in vast amounts of air. The very air itself seemed to thin around her.

Then, she exhaled.

A violent spiral of wind erupted from her mouth, twisting into a massive cyclone that surged toward Kaizen with the force of a raging tornado.

Dominica's eyes widened in astonishment.

"Wendy developed an ability like this? Incredible!"

Kaizen's expression hardened.

"As expected from the Son of the Dragon. My usual defenses won't be enough for this."

Genius didn't belong to him alone.

A shadow loomed beside him. Sharp, dark red claws gleamed in the light—

Akutagawa Ryunosuke lunged forward, clashing head-on with the windstorm.

"Boom!"

The force sent him flying backward.

A second figure stepped in immediately—Raiken.

"Ghost Back!"

With a sharp grin, Raiken braced himself, standing firm as the hurricane-force winds howled toward him.

The battle had only just begun.
