To be exact, Ronnel was looking at the cute blonde girl in the booth, bored out of her mind as she kicked her legs and propped her chin with her hands—like a delicate porcelain doll.

"Hey, Wing, are you sure the other party has the Queen's Mermaid's Tears?"

"Master, I'm sure of it. I've seen it before—it's undoubtedly the gem, though there's always the chance it could've been forged by some special Nen."

"Well, if it's faked by Nen, don't try to fool my eyes. I've seen countless gems. If it's truly the Queen's Mermaid's Tears, ho ho ho~"

Seeing his master slipping into a dreamy state again, Wing twitched the corner of his mouth and sat up straight.

"Thankfully, I didn't bring Zushi here. If he saw the master like this, he might get the wrong idea."

In order to avoid startling Zushi with Bisky's antics, Wing had left him at the hotel. And now, it seemed that was undoubtedly the right choice.

"Master, he's here."

Wing's words brought Bisky back to reality, and she looked at Ronnel as he approached.

The moment Ronnel stepped into the café, he spotted Bisky and Wing.

Bisky's appearance was impossible to miss.

If any unsavory characters on the streets of Meteor City saw her like this, there would be countless incidents to handle.

"Mr. Wing, is this… Ms. Bisky? She's quite beautiful, which is… surprising."

As he arrived at the booth, Ronnel greeted Wing first, but under Bisky's dangerous gaze, he quickly changed to "Ms."

"Are you the one with the Queen's Mermaid's Tears?" Bisky rested her chin on her hands, blinking her large, watery eyes in a voice so soft it could easily trigger a protective instinct. The effect sent a shiver down Ronnel's spine.

Wing coughed lightly, embarrassed, and turned his head away.

"Well, Ms. Bisky, this is the Queen's Mermaid's Tears."

Ronnel, just like before, produced a wooden box with a flick of his wrist and placed it on the table.

Bisky, watching the move, wasn't fazed. Instead, she eagerly opened the box, and then...

Seeing his master's intoxicated expression, Wing immediately knew the gem was genuine.

As time passed, Bisky showed no signs of snapping out of her trance. Wing couldn't help but cough twice.

"Ah, sorry. I got a little carried away and lost track of time. My apologies."

Bisky snapped out of it and immediately resumed her adorable little girl act, a pitiful demeanor that caught the attention of patrons in nearby booths.

Wing, feeling a growing headache, took a sip of the coffee in front of him.

So bitter.

"You must really want something from me to hand over such a precious gem. It's not admiration or respect, is it? Tell me, boy, what do you want from me? From what Wing says, it seems you're familiar with me. But let me warn you: if it crosses my bottom line, no matter how tempting this gem is, I won't help."

Bisky's soft voice carried words of righteousness and seriousness.

Well, it might be more believable if she didn't have her hands firmly pressing down on the wooden box while saying it.

Ronnel and Wing couldn't help but silently complain to themselves.

"Ahem, it's like this, Ms. Bisky. I have some doubts and confusion about Nen practice, and I was hoping you could guide me."

Since she was being so straightforward, Ronnel decided not to beat around the bush either and revealed his true intention.

"If you teach me for five—no, three days, I'll be more than satisfied."

Ronnel clasped his hands together, speaking earnestly, while secretly smiling to himself.

This was playing hard to get. With Bisky's character, he knew she wouldn't settle for just three days.

"Three days?"

As expected, Bisky frowned at Ronnel's request.

"Let's make it half a month. I'll teach you everything I know about Nen during this time."

When it came to professional matters, Bisky's tone shifted immediately. She became mature and composed, dropping the cute girl act and adopting the stance of a seasoned mentor.

"Also, this is purely an employment relationship. You give me the gem, I give you guidance. Don't expect any bonds or prestige between us. And by the way, if your progress disappoints me, I won't hold back."

With that, Bisky stashed the wooden box away.

"Understood I won't let you down!"

Things were going smoother than Ronnel had anticipated. Bisky had agreed to teach him for the gem.

As for it being just half a month...?
