Hyberian Wars Chronicles

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 Hyberian

"Not good, Boss, we are surrounded."

"Surrounded?" The other pirates were equally shocked; what was going on? It seemed things were getting more interesting.

Qianlong was also quite taken aback; what was this situation? Other pirates? A black market deal gone wrong? The odds of that happening should be lower than winning the lottery.

"Who is it?" Big man asked calmly, showing that as the pirate leader, he still had some composure.

"I don't know, but we can't fight back; their fleet is a behemoth." The pirate on the communicator was trembling.

At that moment, the entire spaceship shook violently, as if someone had forcibly boarded it.

Big man had been looking for a chance to shake off Qianlong, but unfortunately, he found there was no opportunity; Qianlong was holding on tightly, showing no signs of letting go.

"Kid, you'd better let me go; we all have a chance to survive. Otherwise, we'll all be done for." Big man said coldly.

Without a second thought, Qianlong replied, "Not a chance."

There couldn't be a worse situation than this; upon hearing that the opposing fleet was a behemoth, Qianlong still held a glimmer of hope.

Before long, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed down the corridor, and over a hundred soldiers clad in brand new single-soldier armor rushed in.

"Scrubs, drop your weapons, or we'll have to take action."

A bold voice came from behind, a man striding forward with his head held high, his hair neatly combed, a smile on his face, and his eyebrows raised.

"Captain, these aren't scrubs; they're pirates." A short-haired female team member beside him said helplessly.

"Uh, isn't there really much of a difference?"

"Pirates are cunning and ruthless; there is a distinction."

"Captain, you need to face your mistakes."

The man took a deep breath and said, "I understand."

He then looked at the pirates present, "Drop your weapons, put your hands on your heads, and all of you get into the corner. Anyone who wants to resist, step forward immediately."

The pirates fell silent; if they could, they would have loved to curse. With such elite equipment, even one piece of armor they wore was better than their Boss's; what a joke.

The pirates present all gave up on resistance.

Big man wore a mocking expression; in his eyes, these people weren't much better.

Everyone had dropped their weapons, except for Qianlong, who still had Big man's head pinned down.

"Captain, there's still one over there who hasn't dropped his weapon."

The seemingly comical Captain stroked his chin and said, "Did you need to remind me?"

He then walked up to Qianlong and said, "Put down your weapon."

Qianlong released his gun, which clattered to the ground.

At this moment, the passengers crouching on the ground in fear looked at these unknown newcomers with anxious eyes, unsure if they were like the pirates.

The Captain looked at all the terrified passengers and coughed a few times.

"You don't need to be nervous; we're just passing by and saw the pirates, so we came to help."

Big man scoffed, "You'd be so kind?"

The Captain took a step toward Big man, their faces almost touching, "Don't use your filthy thoughts to judge everyone; this world is mostly friendly."

"Ridiculous." Big man coldly turned his head away.

The Captain directly ignored pirate Big man, placing his hand on his chest with a serious expression, speaking in a voice full of conviction.

"Friends, I am Kromi. I guarantee your safety with my integrity; of course, you need to answer me some questions."

As soon as Kromi finished speaking, many people who had been tense to the breaking point relaxed and collapsed to the ground, crying.

The previously silent Qianlong suddenly spoke up, "What do you want to ask?"

Kromi looked at Qianlong and smiled, "Which planet are you from?"

"Bellock Star."

Upon hearing Qianlong's words, Kromi's eyes lit up; they were indeed from Bellock Star.

"How is Bellock Star now?"

"It has been overrun by the Zerg; we are among the few survivors fleeing." Qianlong replied.

Kromi's smile instantly froze; it seemed he had received a very bad answer.

"Alright, we have the information we wanted; how should we handle these people?" The short-haired girl beside Kromi asked.

"Since they are refugees, we should take them in."

"Ah! Are you trying to get yourself into trouble again?" The team members who had come along voiced their concerns.

"This isn't trouble; Milo, go apply for a containment order from the Captain." Kromi said seriously.

The short-haired girl, Milo, sighed in response.

"Getting scolded isn't my problem."

"How could it not be? The Captain will definitely approve." Kromi waved his hand dismissively.

"Can we be taken in?"

Those who had initially held no hope suddenly cheered with excitement.

Milo activated her wrist communicator, and a virtual projection interface appeared; she reached out and tapped a few times.

"Requesting connection to the Captain."

"Requesting, authorization granted, connecting."

Then a figure appeared, a man with a resolute expression and white hair at his temples.

"What's going on?"

Kromi immediately approached with a smile, "We've clarified the situation; Bellock Star has been overrun by the Zerg, and this spaceship that was attacked by pirates is a refugee ship, so—"

"You want to take them in?" The Captain frowned.

"Not just me; it's us." Kromi quickly corrected.

The Captain seemed to have a headache, "You're in charge of the integration; if anything goes wrong, it's on you."

"No problem." Kromi replied happily.

"Be quick; we're preparing to adjust our course. If those bugs lock onto us, it'll be a huge problem."

The Captain reminded.

"Yes, Captain." Kromi replied seriously.

After the communication ended, Kromi couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Let me go; I'm not a pirate." A struggling voice came from behind.

Two soldiers were seen escorting a naked Fatty over.

Kromi looked at Fatty, "What's going on?"

"When we found this guy, he was doing something inappropriate."

"You have no right to control us; this spaceship is ours." Fatty said in fear.

Kromi walked toward Fatty, who grew increasingly terrified.

Without hesitation, Kromi punched Fatty in the stomach.

"Ah."

It was a scream that sounded like a pig being slaughtered.

"We also caught a group trying to resist," the soldier continued.

"Anyone who commits a crime stays on the spaceship to fend for themselves; all pirates are to be taken away, and the refugees will be integrated. Complete everything within 12 hours."

"Where are we going?" Someone asked anxi

ously.

"To Hyberian; it will be your home from now on. Welcome home." Kromi replied seriously.

Qianlong asked, "Where are you from? Where are we going?"
