I looked at him and Oh my goodness, I really don't want to hurt him or make him scared but I need a lot of money to pay rent the next day. I really don't want to appear on the headline for the wrong reason. So I have to threaten him.

"Tell me where the diamonds are and you sell it to whoever you want to sell it to but we would share the money 50/50. You take half of the money and I take the other half."

He looked at me in fear like I said the worst thing he had ever heard before in his life.

"But.....I...?" he tried to speak but I shut him up.

"Either you give me fifty percent of that freaking money you are going to make from selling the diamonds or I tell the cops about you having diamonds in your pawn shop."

Alexander looked at me in fear but there was also a flicker of calculation in his eyes. The threat of the police is a very real and present danger looming over him. Alexia and Daniel exchange a look; a silent communication passing through them, a shared assessment of the situation and the risks involved.
