I Am Hades, The supreme GOD of the Underworld!

Chapter 473: Chapter 473: The Dirge of the Gods! Demon Stars! World Chains! The Utterly Powerless Tartarus!

The Underworld.

At any time, the Underworld is perpetually silent, devoid of any disturbance.

This is hardly surprising, after all.

The essence of the Underworld is the embodiment of the god Tartarus himself, much like how the sky represents Uranus.

The Underworld and the sky are reflections of Tartarus and Uranus, yet neither Tartarus nor Uranus is entirely identical to the Underworld or the sky. It's almost like a riddle of words.

But regardless, no one would dare to disturb the domain of a Primeval God. Even though Tartarus is weak at the moment, having drained much of his energy, spirit, and essence in the process of creating Typhon and now needing extensive time to recover, who would willingly provoke such a being?

And yet…

Hades's figure stepped quietly into the Underworld.

Even Hades, standing there in the silence, was lost in thought as he gazed across the realm before him. After a while, he seemed to come to a decision, a glimmer flashing across his brow as he moved deeper into the Underworld.

By invoking the power of his Helm of Invisibility, Hades concealed his entire presence on a conceptual level, making himself undetectable, even to a Primeval God like Tartarus.

If Tartarus were at his full strength, he might have noticed Hades's arrival, but weakened as he is from creating Typhon, he is far from his peak. Though not entirely dormant, he is not in a state to be fully aware of his surroundings.

After all, forcing Gaia and Tartarus—two Primeval Gods—to break through the restrictions of the World of Myth and create a true God-King candidate requires immense effort. The pressure exerted by the World of Myth on even Primeval Gods, and including even the Creator God, is a profound force that stems from the deepest levels of existence.

Both Gaia and Tartarus are left weakened and unable to detect Hades's presence.

"The Underworld…"

Hades muttered these words quietly before stepping further into the depths of the Underworld.

Gradually, Hades reached the center of the Underworld, where he paused, seemingly deep in thought.

After a moment, Hades produced a vial of divine medicine.

The Dirge of the Gods!

This vial had once been given to Hades by Zeus to use against his father, the all-powerful Titan King, Cronus, in order to reclaim his power. Yet due to a series of coincidences, Hades ultimately recovered his authority in a different way, leaving this Dirge of the Gods unused.

Since then, Hades had been carefully advancing his plans within the World of Myth.

Now, finally, the time had come to use the Dirge of the Gods.

Hades's gaze filled with quiet intensity, his usually hollow eyes now beginning to gleam with an uncontained light.

The Dirge of the Gods flowed into the Underworld.

Instantly!

"Ah!"

A sharp, agonized scream echoed as a spectral image of Tartarus appeared, his eyes filled with wrath. Though weak, he glared at Hades with a ferocious expression, bewildered and furious.

"Tartarus!!!" Hades regarded him coldly without a word.

"Tartarus!" His voice was a deep, tired whisper laced with bitterness. "Do you realize what you are doing? Your actions will bring about the destruction of the World of Myth itself."

Hades remained silent, only gazing at Tartarus as he raised his hand. A brilliant light burst forth in that moment.

In an instant:

"Ha…ha…ha…"

A chilling laugh echoed as dark purple skulls materialized one after another.

These were the 108 Demon Stars.

As each Demon Star emerged, they transformed into dark purple chains, threading throughout the Underworld and binding it completely. In a single moment, the Underworld became woven in chains.

Instantly, these dark purple chains began to drain the divine power from the Underworld, and, augmented by the Dirge of the Gods, Tartarus lost his remaining power to resist.

Although Hades now stood at the pinnacle of the God-Kings, he faced a significantly weakened Tartarus, burdened further by the Dirge of the Gods. Even so, the gap between a God-King and a Primeval God could not be easily bridged.

But with the Demon Stars and the world chains woven into the Underworld, Tartarus was entirely subdued, left helpless unless aided by an outside force.

And yet…

Outside help?

That was impossible. The World of Myth's disdain for Gaia had reached its peak, extending even to Tartarus, who was not as hated initially, but now found himself part of this enmity.

At this moment, no deity would enter the Underworld, no Primeval God would dare step in, for the World of Myth itself had sealed the Underworld. Everything was fated to unfold as it would.

Hades had seized the perfect opportunity: time, place, and support. Every factor was in his favor, leaving Tartarus powerless to resist. Furthermore!

Gaia was too weak to intervene, Uranus chose to remain a spectator, and the other Primeval Gods were each preoccupied. Most importantly, among the eight Primeval Gods, it should not be forgotten that Erebus and Nyx—the ancient godly couple—were staunch allies of Hades.

Under these circumstances, attempting to hinder Hades was futile.

For this reason, when the Demon Stars' power erupted, the gods across the World of Myth suspected something was transpiring within the Underworld, but none could verify, not even the highest Creator God.

At the Core of the Earth…

Gaia remained silent.

Erebus and Nyx, the ancient godly couple, stood at the Core's entrance, smiling.

Erebus spoke with a smile: "Gaia, it's been a long time. My wife and I are here as guests; surely you don't mind?"

Gaia cast a deep look at the ancient godly couple before turning back to enter the Core. She knew that anything she did would be in vain.

Undeniably, as the foremost of the Primeval Gods, Gaia's power was unassailable.

But!

With Erebus and Nyx present, coupled with her own weakness and the World of Myth's restraints, even Gaia could do nothing.

This had already been fated. Gaia understood this and chose to step back, knowing that changing the outcome was beyond her reach.

"Heh…"

Erebus and Nyx exchanged a smile before leaving, their mere presence having served its purpose. There was no need for further action; their arrival alone had been sufficient.

Gaia was not foolish; she knew that if she attempted anything, the cost would be far too great. Under such circumstances, ending it here was the best outcome for her.

While the situation depleted Gaia's preparations, further intervention would be pointless.

The truth was clear to Gaia: everything was slipping beyond her control.

No matter how hard she tried, she could see that this was her limit. The outcome had already been determined.

At the border between the mortal realm and the Underworld.

Figures appeared, clad in dark robes, male and female alike. With their arrival, the gods observing from afar withdrew their gaze, each reminded of the terror of the Underworld.

This was the power of the Underworld—a fearsome, unfathomable force.

Aether, Ceres, Karl, Moirai, Eris, Europa, Sparta.

These seven gods, all of whom belonged to the Underworld, had now gathered at the boundary between the mortal realm and the Underworld, their godly might fully displayed, signaling to every deity.

Any attempt to intrude would be met with fatal consequences.

For the gods, this was a critical moment in the cosmic war; none dared to act rashly.

Otherwise!

The price would be losing their only opportunity. For the gods, risking everything was of little consequence, but to lose this single chance was a prospect too dreadful to consider.

Especially given that, besides these seven godly kings of the Underworld, a hidden godly presence of terrifying power remained, though their exact identity was unknown. But there was no doubt that the individual was equally formidable.

The power of the Underworld truly defied imagination.

For the gods, now would have seemed the best time to strike the Underworld, as it had all but emptied its forces. Yet…

Who would dare?

Who could afford the price of such a gamble?

For a God-King like Hades, every precaution had been meticulously taken. This could well be a feigned defense; any assault on the Underworld might lead to unimaginable consequences.

The Underworld's mobilization revealed to the gods that whatever Hades was doing was of utmost importance.

Could it be that Hades was preparing to ascend to the final level of the Primeval Gods?

Yet…

The gods, brimming with curiosity, could only watch as the Underworld emanated with the boundless power of the Demon Stars, while the entire World of Myth remained eerily still.
