I Am Hades, The supreme GOD of the Underworld!

Chapter 476: Chapter 476: The Underworld’s Transformation! From Now On, Just Wait Quietly for the Opportunity to Arrive

The Underworld was undergoing drastic changes.

The entire realm, from top to bottom, from inside out, was expanding immensely. It was as though the whole Underworld was scaling up proportionally. And as it grew, its contained divine power surged rapidly.

Hades stepping into the realm of the Ancient Gods had an immense impact on the Underworld's World Tree. Although a transformation in quality hadn't yet occurred, the sheer quantity of power increase had reached a terrifying level.

Ancient God. God-King. Though these two realms seemed only a step apart, that single step marked a world of difference. This gap was no trivial matter.

Additionally, every god of the Underworld could feel their divine power increasing at a visible rate.

Titan Chief God!

At this moment, every god in the Underworld—regardless of their original power level—had reached the level of a Titan Chief God.

Of course, even at the same level, significant differences existed. Just as Hades could easily defeat other God-Kings, there were substantial gaps among the Titan Chief Gods in the Underworld. For example, the Twin Gods and the Supreme Four Pillars were powerful enough that each one could crush the other Titan Chief Gods of the Underworld.

What about Persephone?

She was the Queen of the Underworld! There was no need for the queen herself to go to war. Such an idea would be laughable beyond words.

Beyond this, the changes within the Underworld didn't just affect each god individually. For the God-Kings of the Underworld, the impact was monumental. Gods like Kerberos and Karl, for instance, found it challenging to control their sudden surge in power. Much of this newfound energy was stored within their divine bodies, to be gradually harnessed over time. This gradual mastery made it easier for them to wield their strength effectively.

The same was true for other Titan Chief Gods. The sudden surge in power needed to be controlled and stabilized over time.

In battles, not having full control over one's power could lead to immense problems. The entire Underworld was now in a state of transformation and turbulence, and this progression would require time; it wouldn't be resolved quickly.

As time passed, the gods would continue their steady path of improvement. For them, moving forward became slower but was critical for enduring growth.

Now, all that was required was to wait quietly for the right opportunity to emerge.

As for what kind of opportunity? That was obvious enough without further explanation.

With Hades having entered the ranks of the Ancient Gods, calm returned to the Underworld. For a while, the gods throughout the mythological world remained silent, contemplating whether the Underworld would intervene in the race wars.

However, after waiting and realizing that the Underworld had no intention of getting involved, the gods of the mythological world resumed their frenzied struggle.

For them, this was a rare opportunity. They weren't about to overthink it. Their brief pause was only out of caution, a slight reverence for Hades as the newly risen Ancient God of the Underworld.

Any who blocked their path would be cut down. Even if they were aware that they might not prevail, it didn't matter—they would fight regardless. Failure was inconsequential to them, for it was simply the nature of their world.

It was undeniable that, for the gods, this was the one chance. Failing to seize it meant the future consequences would be grim.

There was no need to belabor the point. The reality was clear enough to all but the most foolish of beings.

Hades, meanwhile, had no intention of participating in the racial war. He had no interest in that leading role; to him, it was merely a game orchestrated by Gaia, the Earth Goddess, and various God-Kings.

Now, however, Gaia's situation was deteriorating, while Hades had ascended to Ancient God status.

Entering the realm of the Ancient Gods, Hades could sense how the mythological world restricted and suppressed powers of that magnitude. Therefore, involvement would only create further complications for him.

This was indisputable.

He had no desire to get involved in this game. For him, the future had become simpler: all he needed to do now was wait.

Time. In the grand scheme, time was almost worthless to beings like him. Five million years would pass in a blink, and during that span, the Underworld remained uninvolved in the mythological world, while the wars on the surface grew increasingly brutal.

With Typhon joining the fray and the gods forming alliances, coupled with the mythological world's limitations and the unleashing of god-slaying forces, a strange balance emerged.

But ultimately, none of it mattered much. The gods would die over and over, yet for Hades and the Underworld, it was all irrelevant.

In the Underworld…

Hypnos and Thanatos were busy managing various affairs.

Even with the assistance of Aeacus, Minos, and Rhadamanthys—the three judges of the eight great hells—the Twin Gods had plenty of duties to fulfill.

"Ha…"

Thanatos exhaled deeply and mused, "Hypnos, what do you think will be the outcome of this war on the surface?"

"Humans," Hypnos replied without hesitation. "And the Titan-blooded giants."

For Hypnos, the outcome of this racial war was straightforward: the other gods and races were inconsequential.

No matter their efforts, they were mere players or transient parts of a greater whole.

Beyond that? It was simply a joke. Hypnos saw this war as a single opportunity. But could they truly seize it? That was the real question.

If they couldn't grasp this one chance, then all of it would be meaningless.

In Hypnos's view, how could mere gods face protagonists like humanity or the Titan-blooded giants led by Typhon, Gaia's creation? It was laughable to even consider.

Opportunities existed, but they were still just chances. Could they turn them into reality?

It was clear enough: making a miracle real was no easy feat.

The Twin Gods, Hypnos and Thanatos, understood this well.

"Of course!" Thanatos scoffed with a hint of disdain. "Those insects think they can accomplish anything. It's laughable. But, Hypnos, are you prepared?"

"Yes," Hypnos nodded calmly. "We are prepared, but although His Majesty has granted us this chance, we must ensure we make no mistakes. Otherwise, it wouldn't just bring shame upon us but also upon our Father and Mother. That would be unacceptable."

The Underworld continued to grow in strength and had now taken on a structured hierarchy. Although its gods didn't clash openly, healthy competition existed.

Notably, the children of Erebus and Nyx formed one faction, the Supreme Four Pillars another, and independent gods like Mephistopheles, Europa, and Sparta formed yet another.

Hades had given the Twin Gods this opportunity, and failing to make the most of it would be disgraceful.

While the lineage of Erebus and Nyx held significant power and status in the Underworld, it was essential to make the most of this chance. For the Underworld's gods, this moment marked a critical step in their evolution, an opportunity for substantial advancement.

"Good," Thanatos nodded, aware of the importance. Failure would indeed bring profound disgrace.

"Additionally," Hypnos said thoughtfully, "Thanatos, alert Sparta to keep watch over the Northern Lands and monitor the situation on the surface. We need to stay informed of any significant changes in the war above."

"I understand," Thanatos replied, fully aware of the task's importance and his responsibility to ensure its success.

For if he failed, the consequences would be dire.
