Chapter 93: Chapter 93: The Starting Point
In the M187 branch, on a dark and stormy night, dozens of single-person spaceships stood ready on the launch platform.
After spending over half a month integrating resources and recruiting subordinates, news of Frieza's death had finally spread throughout the Northern Galaxy.
Reports indicated that rebellions had erupted on several planets, overthrowing Frieza's established rule and setting up new power structures. When Frieza was alive, everyone feared the "emperor." Now that the "emperor" was dead, other powerful figures refused to acknowledge each other's authority, each competing to become the next Frieza.
This was the perfect opportunity for Raditz.
He stood before his round single-person spaceship, his expression hard as steel as he glanced at the soldiers ready for deployment. Raising his fist high, he addressed them.
"The battle will soon begin! I know you're excited—and so am I! This is our first mission, and my orders are simple: take down the target planet and come back alive! I don't want to lose a single one of you! Everyone, give it your all! Let's go!"
With that, he shook his fist and let out a powerful shout.
In response to Raditz's call, the soldiers raised their arms and pumped their fists, shouting with wild enthusiasm. They had never heard such encouragement before—usually they received only cold orders and unquestionable commands. No ruler had ever cared about their lives. Raditz's words made their blood surge with motivation, even moving some to near tears!
"Alright, move out!"
At his command, the soldiers boarded their spaceships. Raditz took his seat as well, leaning back in his chair and meditating quietly.
...
Seven days later, dozens of single-person spaceships approached Frieza's important outpost, Planet Prison, streaking through space like a meteor shower.
While still in space, Raditz gave the order to advance at full speed and launch their surprise attack.
The planet had recently been seized by Bator, a minor warlord leading one of Frieza's remnant factions. To prevent attacks from other Frieza loyalists, his group had strengthened their space monitoring systems. When the scout ships detected Raditz's fighters rushing straight toward them from space, they immediately sounded the alarm.
"Those are single-person attack pods... Could they be soldiers dispatched from another faction?"
"No landing signal requested! This is definitely an attack!"
"There are many of them—initial count shows more than fifty ships!"
"Battle stations! Battle stations! Battle stations!" The alarm blared three times in succession, alerting Bator's entire army to prepare for combat. Whether the attackers were Frieza's troops or not, they were clearly hostile.
After the alarm sounded, Bator's men scrambled into action.
However, the incoming spaceships had already broken through the atmosphere, creating fierce streaks of fire as they began their forced landing!
"Fire with everything we've got! Shoot those ships down!" The command center issued instructions the moment they received the detection signal.
On the planet's surface, more than a dozen enormous silver-colored gun barrels stood erect, each tens of meters long. They aimed at the rapidly approaching ships in the sky, firing blue, semi-transparent energy shock waves.
Their firing range couldn't cover all the scattered spaceships, but each volley managed to knock down a few.
"The battle begins!" Raditz opened his hatch mid-descent and leapt from his ship as it hurtled downward. With a wave of his hand, white energy bombs burst forth one after another, striking the ground fortifications in rapid succession.
Several anti-aircraft cannons continued their bombardment, with guards stubbornly defending their positions beside the weapons.
Raditz descended with an explosion of power. With a thunderous "BOOM," the ground trembled violently on impact!
The panicked alien soldiers had no idea what had happened—they only felt an overwhelming pressure sweeping across them from all directions, freezing them in place and making it difficult to breathe.
"What was that?"
"Why is my heart suddenly racing?" A guard's face went pale with sudden dread.
"Something's coming!"
They caught glimpses of a shadow flashing through the smoke and dust, moving at astonishing speed!
Raditz's velocity was far beyond anything they could track. The pale flames of his aura rushed into the crowd, his energy wave already reaching their bodies before they could react. In that instant, the guards realized something was terribly wrong, but it was too late.
His ki blast erupted with enormous power, obliterating both people and cannons. Their fragments disintegrated in the torrent of energy as flames erupted and splashed in all directions.
With the ground defenses temporarily neutralized, the remaining spaceships landed one after another, and the soldiers of the Justice League emerged ready for battle.
"ATTACK!" Someone shouted, and the full-scale battle erupted.
Laser cannons and energy bombs rained down in chaotic patterns as raging fire spread across Planet Prison, turning the ground into a sea of flames in an instant. Raditz walked straight through enemy formations, completely unstoppable!
The entire planet descended into chaos and panic.
Finally, Bator couldn't remain idle at headquarters any longer. He donned his combat uniform, gathered his weapons, and led his personal guards into battle. He was an ugly creature with a large belly, looking as though he'd be winded by the slightest movement, but his power level exceeded 20,000. Among Frieza's many subordinates, he wasn't exceptional, but he was far from weak.
Most importantly, Bator was known for his ruthlessness and infamous cruelty. He had developed countless torture methods and often employed underhanded tactics. Many would rather face other powerful fighters than deal with Bator.
Anyone who dared challenge him now must have the guts of a leopard!
Bator let out a long roar as he flew through the air, brandishing his trident and exuding a strong aura despite his bulging belly. He looked down at the fighting with cold indifference, his voice booming from above, "Arrogant fools! I, Bator, have arrived! If you don't want to die, raise your hands and surrender!"
"Hey, your voice is as ugly as your face!"
The moment Bator appeared, Raditz had already flashed behind him, approaching silently. When Raditz spoke, Bator broke out in cold sweat and trembled.
In the next second, Raditz slammed his leg into Bator's back, knocking him to the ground. Even though Raditz had controlled his strength, the impact still caused blood to spatter everywhere.
Bator crashed into the ground, collapsing surrounding buildings within several hundred meters. The impact created a huge crater several meters deep. Raditz landed in front of him and repeated Bator's own words: "If you don't want to die, raise your hand and surrender."
"You...you..." Bator spat out a mouthful of blood, clutching his stomach as he struggled to speak. He kept his head down, trembling all over. Then suddenly he looked up, channeling all his remaining strength into his fingertips, preparing a sneak attack. "You bastard! I'll kill you!"
The moment he raised his head, his pupils trembled uncontrollably. The red energy gathering between his fingers faded, and he fired what amounted to an empty shot with a pathetic "poof," like someone failing to produce a threatening fart.
Jeice... Burter! The Ginyu Force? Didn't they die on Namek with Frieza? What the hell?!
"Bator, looks like you still recognize us." Burter crossed his arms and sneered disdainfully.
Bator might not understand how terrifying Raditz was, but he knew all too well how powerful the Ginyu Force had been. Seeing Jeice and Burter alive sent a chill down his spine that nearly made him collapse.
What frightened him even more was that these two Ginyu Force members were respectfully saluting Raditz.
Who the hell was this guy?!
Bator's breathing became shallow and rapid, causing him to spit up more blood. His entire body trembled with fear, as if he'd been plunged into an ice cave.
A smile appeared on Raditz's face. "Bator, right? You just tried to attack me and made it clear you don't intend to surrender. Very well, I'll give you what you want. Planet Prison will be our starting point!"
"No, no, no..." Bator stammered, repeating the word as a whirling ball of white light approached him.
"No! No! NO!!! No... AAAGH—"
