I am the Emperor of Humanity across the Multiverse

Chapter 209: Chapter 208: "Target, Mars!"

In the main universe, Earth.

Escorted by two Ghost III multi-role fighter jets, the Luna transport ship departed from the Seattle headquarters and headed toward the space city, located 40,000 kilometers above the equator.

Even as they reached altitudes where oxygen levels were extremely low, the two Ghost III fighters maintained formation, staying with the Luna transport until it exited the atmosphere and entered outer space.

In fact, these two Ghost III jets, which looked similar to their initial models but slightly taller and bulkier, were equipped with miniature nuclear fusion engines.

By abandoning traditional jet engines, the third-generation Ghost and subsequent versions became integrated air-space combat units.

After all, the Atlas fleet's main carrier-based aircraft were still the light-freight White Falcon fighters. Although the dual-seater models could control 8-12 unmanned drones, they couldn't fully make up for the weakness of the carrier-based fighter formations. This became evident when combating the enemy fighter jets released by the Reaper mothership, prompting the research department to prioritize the formal deployment of the Ghost III.

The Ghost III features a slanted missile launch bay, capable of holding up to 3,600 rounds of various Gauss cannon ammunition. With the addition of composite mounts on its wings, it was a true "space truck," able to assist vessels in different levels of combat.

Before long, the Earth behind the flight formation became increasingly distant, while the space city, though smaller than the Reaper mothership, came into view as a distinctive facility.

Soon, the flight formation entered the military docking port of the space station.

Here, they could see a Fides-class frigate and two Cerenne-class transport ships undergoing final maintenance, preparing for the deployment of combat personnel.

Adjusting their angle and speed, the Luna transport ship reached its designated landing position first and was secured by mechanical arms.

The two Ghost III fighters proceeded to the underside of the Fides-class frigate, entering its hangar through large pressurized doors that opened one after another.

A bridge extended from the side wall, connecting with the rear of the Luna transport.

Hiss—!

Visible gas escaped from the bridge as it locked into place, stabilizing the internal pressure to allow the passengers to safely exit the cabin.

Inside the bridge, three genetically enhanced primarchs, clad in their respective powered armor and carrying the weapons their father had given them, either at their waist or attached to their backs, made their way toward the more spacious main structure of the space city.

Following them closely was Hera, her emotions in turmoil.

Hera had secretly observed Atlas for nearly twenty years. She knew that Atlas had been active in West Africa, particularly in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire, since the early 1990s, eventually shifting its focus entirely to Accra, Ghana.

However, she had never found a way to infiltrate Atlas and study what they were truly up to.

Who would have thought that a relic leading to other universes existed in the Comoe Forest in Côte d'Ivoire?

As for Samuel Young, whom she wished to meet and request assistance from, he was no longer in the current universe.

Atlas' true nature had far exceeded all of Hera's expectations.

Fortunately, the "Queen of Heaven," who was over 20,000 years old, quickly processed these facts and accompanied the three primarchs to the space city, preparing to transfer to the Fides-class frigate to head to Mars.

Her turmoil wasn't from shock but rather from contemplating how to deal with the fallen Zeus and the other Greek gods.

At this moment, they stepped out of the bridge and arrived in the vast docking bay.

Here, a large number of logistics personnel piloting engineering mechs were busy transporting small supplies and conducting routine maintenance on the aerospace vehicles. Meanwhile, the orbital assault teams were engaged in their daily training, oblivious to external events, as they ran, sparred, and lifted weights in the training area.

However, at the entrance to the large bridge leading to the Fides-class frigate, a thousand-strong special forces unit had gathered.

?

Hera glanced toward the entrance and noticed that the special forces soldiers were wearing fully enclosed individual combat gear. The design of their armor and helmets gave her a sense of medieval knights.

Leading the special forces was a "person" who, despite wearing the same type of combat gear, could not hide their distinct figure.

Moreover, this "person" had waist-length hair tied up, exposing slightly pointed ears.

An elf?

Having spent years among humans, Hera was familiar with the depictions of elves in human fantasy literature.

Seeing the figure clearly, she immediately deduced that the special forces unit was composed of humanoid species from another universe, who had likely reached some sort of agreement with Atlas.

As they approached, the "person" smiled gracefully and addressed Guilliman:

"Tinas Losrian, it is an honor to cooperate with the Firstborn of the Emperor to tackle the corruption ravaging the main universe."

After speaking, the "person" turned to Sanguinius and Horus, standing beside Guilliman, and offered a slight bow to express goodwill:

"I often hear the Emperor mention his children. Seeing you in person, your aura is indeed extraordinary."

"You're too kind, Queen Losrian," Guilliman and his brothers responded humbly, with sincere expressions, saying:

"It is our honor to collaborate with the queen and the elven race."

"Hehe, very well then, let's continue this conversation once we've boarded the ship." The Elven Queen Tinas concluded the formalities with a soft smile.

As she turned and headed toward the bridge, Tinas nodded to Hera, who had remained silent.

Shortly after, Guilliman, his group, and the elite elven forces from Tyrella boarded the Fides-class frigate, which was on standby.

Once all personnel were aboard, the ground crew operating the docking station detached the large bridge, allowing the warships to exit the port without hindrance.

Outside the main structure of the space city, the Fides-class, carrying Guilliman and his group, along with two Cerenne-class ships, left the docking port. After distancing themselves from the space city, they began to gradually accelerate.

Then, these three ships rendezvoused with another three Cerenne-class ships that had already completed their maintenance and preparations.

Now, with six ships in total, the Atlas fleet further increased their speed, soon passing by the moon, approximately 400,000 kilometers away from Earth.

Inside the bridge of the Fides-class frigate, with "Future" emblazoned on its side:

"Captain, coordinates locked and flight path clear. Should we engage the antimatter engines?" the helmsman reported loudly.

Hearing this, the captain in the command chair turned to the communications officer and ordered:

"Notify all ships to engage their antimatter engines in fifteen seconds. Target: Mars!"

"Yes, sir!"
