Chapter 427 【Gale Sword Saint】Igley Alce_2
The Elf Royal Court does not refuse the entry of other races, and as long as one makes enough contributions to Jade City, they can even earn the right to live there for the long term.
This is quite attractive to many people who love nature.
For this reason, Jade City has developed more and more rapidly over the past several centuries, and its status within the Elf Kingdom has become increasingly important.
The Moon Elf-controlled Elf Land doesn't mind these developments and even tends to support Jade City.
However, for both the Elf Royal Court and the Elf Capital, Jade City is somewhat an anomaly.
After all, both of those long-established places are controlled by the Sun Elf Family, and in some sense, the upper echelons of Jade Capital have enough strength but not necessarily the corresponding status and power within the Elf Kingdom.
They united to establish the precursor to Jade City and have developed it since then.
Now, Jade City's reputation has far surpassed that of both the Elf Royal Court and the Elf Capital in the eyes of neighboring Human Kingdoms and other races.
If this were to happen in the Human Kingdom, it might provoke unrest, but it's different in the Elf Kingdom.
With the presence of the Elf Gods, elves are not keen on power, and the existence of Jade City perfectly satisfies the wishes of those elves, making the Elf Kingdom even more stable.
The last disturbance in the Elf Kingdom might have been a thousand years ago.
Once they arrived in Jade City, Lis's team entered the city for a bit of rest and recuperation.
After all, long travels do accumulate fatigue, and it is relatively safe within Jade City.
After passing through Jade City, they would directly cross the Elf Forest heading for the Elf Royal Court deep in the Great Forest.
"Elder Ricardo, now that we've arrived in Jade City, I'd like to go see my father," Cecil said to Ricardo, who was arranging the team's stay in Jade City, in a soft voice.
"You want to see Igley?"
Ricardo frowned instinctively, his first impulse being to refuse.
In his view, even in Jade City, they couldn't be too careless; after all, those who had dared to attack the Day Elves in the Royal Court could strike from the shadows, and Ricardo didn't think they would abandon their plans just because of the legends stationed in Jade City.
Seeing Ricardo hesitate, Cecil quickly said,
"Lord Lis will accompany me, Elder, you can rest assured, there won't be any problems."
Ricardo glanced at Lis, who stood behind Cecil, and after a moment's hesitation, he agreed.
"Go early and come back early. I know you haven't seen your father in a long time, Cecil, but the situation is special now; you must return tonight," he said.
"Okay."
Cecil nodded, not too surprised.
During her time in Acot City, Cecil had already been under strict supervision; however, she knew it was Ricardo's way of ensuring their safety and didn't mind too much.
Lis followed behind Cecil, preparing to meet the [Gale Sword Saint] Igley Alce.
This character was different from other plot protagonists Lis had encountered before; he may not have become a legend yet, but he had already grown into a Gold Level warrior.
His strength in Jade City, even among the entire Elf Clan, was quite formidable.
Lis had heard from Cecil that to resist the Illiser Family, Igley had even defeated two Gold Rank Day Elves, earning the recognition of many legends within the Elf Clan.
Otherwise, Cecil would not have had the opportunity to stay in Nelin City with stability.
The Igley Alce of today is none other than the leader of the Guard Team of the Jade City, whose status in the Jade City is second only to those of the Legendary Crown and the City Lord.
Originally, Cecil had wanted to entrust Lis with a message for Igley in the Jade City because of the Illiser Family's sudden summons, fearing she would be forcibly taken back to the Elf Royal Court.
But the situation now was that the Illiser Family indeed planned to take Cecil back, and this was due to someone targeting the Illiser Family, concerned for the safety of Elves with Day Elf Bloodline like Cecil who were outside.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Cecil did not refuse, especially since Elder Ricardo promised that he would let her leave the Elf Royal Court and return to Nelin City after the matter was resolved.
Upon learning that the journey back to the Elf Royal Court would pass through the Jade City, Cecil wished to visit her father.
Although Cecil didn't spend much time with her father during her early years living in the Elf Royal Court, Igley was undoubtedly a competent father, caring for Cecil with great attention to detail.
Cecil's request to leave the Elf Royal Court was a challenging matter for him, but Igley agreed outright and overcame significant obstacles to bring Cecil to Nelin City.
Lis followed behind Cecil and came to a quieter area on the east side of the Jade City.
This place lacked the bustling streets filled with merchant caravans and Elf shops of the Jade City, serene and peaceful, with a breeze that brought a refreshing sense of tranquility.
Under Cecil's lead, Lis arrived in front of a house that was deeply characteristic of the Elf style.
The house was not simply built on the ground but ingeniously perched upon a towering tree, as if a perfect crystal emerged from the fusion with nature.
This massive oak spread across the land, its thick trunk standing like an ancient Guardian, enduring weathering and storms, yet still bursting with vitality, with a design full of the Elf Clan's ingenuity. It featured a lightweight wooden structure that meshed harmoniously with the trunk, as if it naturally sprouted from the tree. The walls were a light green, blending with the surrounding natural environment.
The windows were cleverly set into the walls, varying in shape like veins on leaves, allowing natural light to freely flood the interior. The dense branches gently swayed in the breeze, rustling softly, like a symphony of nature.
The sun's rays filtered through gaps between the leaves, casting mottled shadows onto the house's exterior, adding mystery and warmth to the home.
Cecil took a silver Magic key from her storage ring and lightly touched the sturdy oak in front of them.
Lis could feel the flow of magic; before his eyes, the grand oak slightly trembled, as if to welcome an honorable guest, opening a part of its thick trunk. A wooden door then appeared before Lis.
Cecil pushed the door open and entered, smiling back at Lis:
"Come in. It seems my father isn't home right now,"
"Come in and rest for a while."
Lis walked into the house and looked around.
The interior decoration was simple yet elegant, and the wooden furniture emitted a faint fragrance. Artifacts of the Elf Clan hung on the walls, some depicting the beauty of the forest, others narrating ancient legends, conveying tranquility and comfort.
Yet, what caught Lis's attention more were the swords placed against the wall.
These treasure swords were made in different styles, with blades of various lengths, even one that looked somewhat dim as if weathered by time, but it was polished and neatly placed on a wooden rack, clearly cherished and valued by its owner.
Cecil appeared to be preparing snacks in the kitchen when footsteps entered from outside.
A young and handsome Elf man walked in, pausing upon seeing Lis.
The Elf had a head full of thick brown hair, casually tied back, a simplicity that was quite dashing. He wore casual brown attire that couldn't hide his elegance; his face was handsome, eyes deep as stars, twinkling with wisdom and resilience.
His long, powerful fingers were covered with rough calluses, left from years of wielding a Longsword. These were like medals etched on his fingertips by time, recording countless battles and experiences.
Standing there, he exuded a certain indescribable elegance and Strength, a calm and deliberate presence, as if no matter the adversity, he could maintain his cool and resolve.
Lis, recognizing this familiar figure, knew the master of the house had arrived.
[Gale Sword Saint] Igley Alce!
