I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 432: The Riot of the Earth Element Giant Group_2

Even himself!

However, at this moment, Ricardo wasn't dwelling on that; he believed that under Alvis's leadership, such matters would be considered.

The critical issue was whether the incident in Caspar Valley would affect the team's overall progress.

After a moment's consideration, Ricardo summoned the captain of the guard team, gave a few instructions, and then left to head towards Caspar Valley.

The guards within the team visibly tensed up, and the atmosphere began to grow serious.

Lis glanced at Cecil, who also looked somewhat worried, thought for a moment, and made an excuse to step aside.

Using magic, he summoned a transparent, small humanoid reconnaissance puppet and slowly followed behind Ricardo.

This was a special reconnaissance magic that Lis had obtained from the Great Library of Azela Floating City. Although the summoned magic puppet was extremely fragile, even unable to withstand the strength of an ordinary person, its greatest advantage lay in its mobility and extremely high ability to conceal its presence.

It was quite practical for reconnaissance purposes.

Upon returning and sitting down next to Cecil, a clear image appeared before Lis's eyes.

Since Ricardo was also a Gold-level Mage, Lis didn't get too close and followed at a distance to the outskirts of Caspar Valley.

Ricardo looked somberly at the valley below him, whose terrain and dense Earth Element remained the same as before, but what was different was the previously empty center of the valley.

The valley lacked lush trees to obscure the sky, and there were no vibrant flowers to decorate it, only the bare land and rugged rocks spread out, forming a desolate and grand scene.

The air in the valley seemed to be permeated with an ancient and steady essence. On this seemingly empty land, a group of Earth Element Giants were aimlessly and slowly wandering, their presence adding a touch of fantasy and majesty to the valley.

These Earth Element Giants, varying in shape and size, seemed like children of the earth, masterpieces of nature. Their bodies, made up of differently sized gray-white mud and rocks, had rugged fragments of rock on them that seemed rough yet brimming with the rhythm of life.

What was more astonishing was that among these giants, there were a few made entirely of dark gray rock. Their skin was covered with marks of the ages, each rock seemingly recording an ancient tale, their presence as imposing as mountains, every step they took seemed to tremble the earth.

Observing this scene from a distance, Lis couldn't help but marvel. Those few Earth Element Giants in the valley with clearly different auras, must all have reached Gold Level strength.

This was very troublesome; even Lis couldn't think of a good way to get the entire Elf team through the valley without disturbing the Earth Element Giants.

He himself indeed had a method, the simplest being to use Space Transmission or Shadow Jump to cross the valley.

However, it now appeared that Ricardo, this Elf Elder, didn't have such tricks at his disposal.

The most critical issue was, who would have expected so many Earth Element Giants to appear in Caspar Valley?

After observing for a moment, Ricardo's eyebrows deeply furrowed, the situation more troubling than he had thought.

He initially thought that the Elf Ranger might have exaggerated. If there were really so many Earth Element Giants slumbering in Caspar Valley, would the Elf Royal Court not know about it?

But now, how could there only be two hundred Earth Element Giants in front of his eyes?

Looking around, the rock walls on the other side of Caspar Valley, ten kilometers away, were faintly visible. Although the Earth Element Giants in front of him were sparsely scattered throughout the valley, their number was definitely more than just one or two hundred.

Ricardo only made a rough count and there were at least five hundred Earth Element Giants.

The majority were Bronze and Silver Level Earth Element Giants, but there were also at least twenty Gold Rank ones among them.

Ricardo fell silent for a moment, then arranged for two Elf Rangers to probe further.

He hoped these Earth Element Giants had already dispersed and wouldn't actively attack.

But the final outcome was different from what Ricardo had expected; as soon as the two Elf Rangers approached, the nearest Earth Element Giant reacted and charged towards them,

Although to say "charged" might not be quite accurate, given that the Earth Element Giants were quite slow, but their movement seemed to have disturbed the other giants, causing a whole area of Earth Element Giants to rush over.

During this process, even more Earth Element Giants continued to rise from the ground.

The faces of the two Elf Rangers turned pale; they had no intention of resisting and quickly turned back to the cliffs.

It seemed that with the absence of the Elf Rangers' presence, the stone giants resumed their previous behavior, wandering through the valley once again.

Do they really lack intelligence and rely solely on instinct?

Lis watched, curious about what Ricardo intended to do next.

After witnessing everything that had happened, Ricardo, without further delay, led his team along the valley's rock faces for a few more kilometers. After leaving the area where the Earth Element Giants roamed, he continued to arrange for Rangers to scout further into the valley.

Lis knew what Ricardo was doing; he wanted to test whether it was only that particular area that had the Earth Element Giants uprising, and if other areas might be safer.

As the two Elf Rangers moved forward, soon, rumbling sounds echoed throughout the valley.

Before Lis's eyes, the ground of the entire valley suddenly cracked open, and more Earth Element Giants than before emerged from below the ground.

Seeing this, Ricardo immediately led his people away from there.

After trying two more locations, Ricardo gave up on further probing.

Clearly, the Elf Royal Court was unaware that so many Earth Element Giants were slumbering beneath Caspar Valley. If the entire valley were like this, it would be quite terrifying, possibly harboring tens of thousands, if not more, of these Earth Element Giants.

However, Ricardo was not worried about these Earth Element Giants posing a risk to the Elf Royal Court; these intelligence-lacking Elemental Giants essentially only dwelt in places where the elemental concentration was rich and would not leave their original territories.

In that case, it wouldn't be long before these Earth Element Giants depleted all their magic power and turned to ashes.

But now the problem Ricardo faced was how to get through Caspar Valley.

Should he wait for these agitated Earth Element Giants to calm down and return to their subterranean slumber?

How long would that take? It might be better to take a detour to avoid Caspar Valley altogether!

Moreover, the cause of the Earth Element Giants' sudden agitation was still unclear; there could be an even greater danger involved!

Since Ricardo's team of Elves was meant to safeguard the Day Elves returning to the Elf Royal Court, the team's combined strength was quite formidable.

Including Ricardo himself, there were more than ten individuals with Gold Level strength. Although there were many Earth Element Giants, their enormous size meant that only a few could attack the team at any one time.

Ricardo was still confident about leading the team through Caspar Valley, but he worried about other unexpected events.

During Ricardo's moment of hesitation, suddenly a voice reached his ears.

Ricardo's expression hardened, knowing that since Alvis would secretly protect them, there was no need to worry.

"Let's go, we'll rest today and cross Caspar Valley tomorrow."

Ricardo said calmly.

"Yes!"

The other Elf Guards said, all warriors honed through rigorous training by the Elf Royal Court and having received the blessing of the Elf Gods. Naturally, their strength was not to be underestimated.

Even though the Earth Element Giants were numerous, the Guards were confident that they could overcome these mindless beings based on their strength.

Seeing this, Lis decided to continue his investigation.

He was quite curious about the reasons for the uprising of these Earth Element Giants.

Suddenly at that moment, he felt as if he were being watched.

Lis was startled and quickly dispersed his Reconnaissance Puppet.

Just a few seconds after Lis dispersed the puppet, the figure of Alvis appeared at the location where the Magic Puppet had been.
