I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 636 Skeletal Church Transformation?_2

It is said that the secret realm is a small fragment from a certain layer of the Endless Abyss, and somehow it entered the Gaia World, forming this realm.

What's peculiar is that although this realm is filled with Abyss Breath, all the active creatures are the Undead.

The main boss of this realm is a Golden Rank Frozen Ghoul, and for players, the most troublesome part of clearing this secret realm dungeon is facing the negative status caused by the Abyss Breath and Undead Aura erosion.

Often, players can't even get to the final dungeon boss before being overwhelmed by countless Undead Creatures or dragged to their deaths by the accumulating negative status.

The Undead Church is one of the safe houses providing rest for players.

Although the church is built from countless black bones, it indeed allows players to avoid the disturbance of Undead, offering them a chance to rest.

However, with Lis's current Strength, there's no need for such trouble.

In his past life, Lis had visited this secret realm dungeon, and finding Katie Island, the location of the realm, was still quite easy.

Relying on the memories from his previous existence, Lis easily found the small cave where the realm was located.

Lis walked in, continued for several dozen steps, and soon his sight suddenly cleared.

This is a vast and boundless icy wasteland.

The sky was a dull gray, as if shrouded by a heavy lead curtain; snowflakes silently drifted through the air, like eternal dancers from centuries past, carrying a coldness that spoke volumes without words. This сhаptеr is frоm thе соllесtiоn аt М-VL-ЕМ-РYR.

The bare, black ground underfoot was barren and cracked, with deep fissures resembling the scars of the earth, telling of this land's endless desolation and loneliness.

The entire plain was lifeless, even the most resilient moss couldn't secure a place in this silent wasteland.

The air was filled with a stench—an indescribable odor like the very breath of Death—intertwining with the icy cold of the wasteland, forming an indescribable sense of oppression.

Lis looked around, finding only endless snow and exposed cracks extending within his view.

Not far away, some skeletons and rotten corpses, among other Undead Creatures, wandered aimlessly; their eyes empty and soulless, as if driven by some force, they prowled the icy wasteland.

The presence of these Undead Creatures added a touch of horror and eeriness to the desolate icy wasteland.

Their figures appeared, and vanished among the snowfall as if ready to disappear into the endless whiteness at any moment, only to reappear unexpectedly, hunting any living creatures that might appear.

Lis looked back, but the cave he had entered vanished without a trace.

[You have entered the Golden Rank Secret Realm "Frozen Soil Plain Fragment"!]

[You triggered the secret realm quest "Defeat Frost Ice Ghoul Krauser"!]

Lis paid no mind to this secret realm quest, given his current Strength, it's a piece of cake and can be accomplished within minutes.

He was more intrigued by the way to enter this secret realm.

As a player, he hadn't paid attention to such matters, but the sensation earlier seemed like Space Transmission.

Meaning this secret realm was not truly located on the island in the Treasure Pearl Sea, rather it was likely attached to the Gaia Main World, similar to a small world.

Indeed, it's possible that this secret realm is an Abyss Plane Fragment!

Lis kept this in mind; he remained quite cautious of the Endless Abyss.

Even though there hasn't been news of the Abyss Prince Demogorgon lately, Lis was certain this guy is plotting something big.

But given Lis's current Strength, he had no means to confront Demogorgon head-on.

He could only use this calm before the storm to enhance his Strength as much as possible.

As Lis pondered, his spiritual power had already spread across the entire secret realm.

Soon he detected various information, like the resting Frost Ice Ghoul Krauser, and the lonely black church standing on the plain.

Lis's figure flickered, immediately appearing in front of the church.

Looking just like he remembered, the extremely eerie black church stood amidst the dimness, as if an Undead construction crawling from the Abyss.

The church was not built from ordinary bricks but intertwined with countless black bones, which gleamed sinisterly in the dim light, emitting an aura of Death and decay.

Intricate and bizarre patterns were engraved upon the bones, twisted and coiled like spells from an evil entity; gazing at them for more than a few glimpses invoked a spine-tingling malice and coldness, as if countless eyes watched from the shadows, sending chills down one's spine.

However, there was a part of this church that seemed out of place.

The tightly sealed metal front door was engraved with two pale angel patterns.

These angels poised to take flight, their visage tranquil, their gaze warm and amicable, contrasting sharply with the surrounding darkness and evil.

This blend of Holy and evil was both suffocating and impossible to look away from.

This church indeed was quite bizarre, as players explored this secret realm, believing this church was the boss's location, although they later found it was quite safe inside.

Yet Lis stood here, already sensing the distinctiveness of the church before him.

"I figured as much; why those Undead avoided this place in my past life."

"With such a powerful Undead here, of course, those Undead wouldn't come close."

Lis shook his head slightly, speaking with a hint of self-mockery.

His senses told him the aura of the church before him, despite being concealed, was undeniably powerful.

He then gathered his mighty Magic Power, coalescing into a substantial giant hand, smashing towards the church's front door.

Under Lis's assault, the angel patterns on the door suddenly seemed to come alive.

Turning slowly, their eyes fixed intently on Lis.

At this moment, any trace of Holy presence vanished from the angels, replaced by a visage of ferocity and madness.

"Ah!!!"

They opened their mouths wide, emitting an ear-shattering roar filled with resentment and hatred.

Simultaneously, the entire church seemed to awaken by this surge of evil power.

The originally bone-constructed walls began shattering and reshaping, making cracking sounds akin to the Gate of Hell being slowly pushed open.

An intense Death Aura erupted suddenly, even causing Lis to feel a chill reach to the core.

Amid the turmoil, the Skeletal Church transformed into a giant Bone Dragon, gradually appearing before Lis.

Skeletal Church transformation!

The Bone Dragon was colossal, towering like a mountain, with bones glittering darkly, exuding endless Death and Power of Destruction.

In its eye sockets, fiery ice-blue soul flames burned fiercely, possessing endless grievance and hatred; staring directly at them appeared to tremble the soul.

It was like awakening with a fit of rage, after being startled, the Bone Dragon charged madly at Lis.

Lis retreated a few steps, evading the Bone Dragon's attack, then carefully surveyed the dragon before him.

Moments later, Lis shook his head slightly.

He was sure that the dragon before him was a leftover from the Demigod [Death Lament] Ivan Water.

Even though the terrifying power contained within carried Demigod's might, alarming Lis, the Bone Dragon in front held absolutely no trace of Wisdom or consciousness.

This was merely a beast born from the residual power of [Death Lament] Ivan Water.

No matter how strong its power, it posed no substantial threat to Lis.

Lis recalled when he faced the remnants of the Divine Ansel on the Divine Island, creating a being known as Ansel.

In contrast, all that remained of the Demigod [Death Lament] Ivan Water was this unclear beast, perhaps illustrating the difference!

The Magic Wand appeared in Lis's hand, pointing at the constantly twisting Bone Dragon before him, he smiled and said:

"Let me see what [Death Lament] has left behind!"
