Chapter 28: Look at Me Properly!
Chapter 28: Look at Me Properly!
Being dragged by Yin, the two of them ended up at a children’s clothing store.
“Oh? Isn’t that Lady Yin? What brings you to my shop today?”
The shop owner was quite surprised to see Yin in her store. After all, this was a shop exclusively for children’s clothing, and Yin had never come here before.
“I made two new friends today, so I brought them here to buy clothes. I heard your children’s clothing store has great reviews, so I came straight here.”
“Well, you’ve definitely come to the right place! But I wonder if your friend can actually fit our clothes? We only sell children’s sizes.”
“Don’t worry! That friend is just a little girl, which is why we came here. By the way? Where is she? Didn’t she come in? I thought I dragged her along…”
Looking around, there was no sign of Aierjisi or Yake in the store. Yin stepped outside and glanced down the street, realizing that somehow both of them had disappeared.
“Ah… where did the two people I brought go? Did they step out?”
Yin turned her head to ask the shop owner about the whereabouts of her two companions.
“Yeah. They just went out not long ago. I thought they went to the wrong shop, so I didn’t pay much attention. Could they be the friends you mentioned?”
“Yes! Why did they suddenly run off? This store has such cute clothes! Aierjisi would look so good in them!”
She casually picked up a pink bunny outfit, which was super cute! Too bad it wasn’t something this woman could wear herself; otherwise, she would really want to get one.
“Phew… So, did that crazy woman not chase after us?”
Meanwhile, Aierjisi and Yake were catching their breath, hiding in a small alley. The moment Yin loosened her grip to greet the shop owner, Aierjisi had seized the opportunity to bolt out of the children’s clothing store and raced to this spot.
“Should be fine. But why did we run? Isn’t that a children’s clothing store? Buying you some clothes should’ve been great, right? Ouch!”
As soon as Yake finished speaking, Aierjisi kicked him hard in the rear.
“Are you brain dead? Or are you just below a worm’s worth? I need new clothes? Huh? I just wanted to go out and have fun with you two! If she intrudes, what’s the point of us being out here? What do you think?”
The Little Princess was angrily reprimanding Yake. She had been focused on him, even shedding her boyish attitude to help him out today, yet this idiot dared to agree to go shopping with another woman right in front of her! It infuriated her! How could she have treated him this way? It was just… so… waah!!!
The more Aierjisi thought about it, the angrier and more wronged she felt, leading her to burst into tears. What was wrong with her? She had tried so hard, yet Yake still looked at other women.
“Aier? What’s wrong? Why are you suddenly crying?”
Seeing the Little Princess crying out of nowhere, Yake panicked and took out his handkerchief to wipe her tears.
“Why am I crying? Isn’t it because of you, you idiot! You stupid! Stupid! Stupid!”
The Little Princess pounded her tiny fists against Yake’s chest, shouting at him.
“Okay, okay! I’m an idiot, the one who made my Little Princess cry. I promise I won’t agree to other women’s requests again, so stop crying, okay?”
Yake was out of ideas. He knew it was his fault for making the Little Princess feel wronged, which is why she was crying. He could only wipe her tears while soothing her.
Seriously, this Little Princess is getting more and more like a simple little girl. Just because he spoke to a few other women without rejecting their invitations, she ended up in tears. Looks like he’d have to be more careful in the future to avoid making this Little Princess cry again.
“Then swear it.”
Aierjisi finally stopped sobbing. She wouldn’t believe Yake until he swore.
“Swear? What kind of swear?”
Yake didn’t understand what kind of oath he was supposed to make. He could only ask the Little Princess what else needed to be done.
“You just point your right hand to the sky and shout, ‘I, Yake, would rather starve to death, jump off here, than love any woman other than Aierjisi!’”
“Just like that?”
Yake was still in disbelief that swearing was just pointing to the sky and shouting a couple of sentences.
“Just like that! Now quick, swear!”
Aierjisi urged Yake, telling him to hurry up and swear.
“Alright, alright, I’ll swear! I, Yake! Would rather starve! Jump off here! And will not love any woman other than Aierjisi!!!”
Yake pointed his index finger at the sky and loudly recited what the Little Princess had just taught him.
“Is that okay now?”
“Yup, that’s good. Yake, you can put your hand down now. I believe you. But in the future, without my permission, you’re not allowed to agree to any other girl’s request, got it?”
“Yes, yes. My Princess.”
Yake agreed to Aierjisi’s condition. Seriously, how much did this Little Princess fear losing him?
“Mm, that’s good. Now let’s continue with our original plan and stroll around Pield together. By the way, where is this place?”
Aierjisi looked around, noticing there seemed to be hardly any shops, and no passersby either. The street was eerily quiet, as if this district had been abandoned.
“Don’t you know where this is? You brought me here!”
“I don’t know! I just kept rushing forward! And ended up here.”
“Then can’t we just go back the way we came?”
Since the Little Princess had run straight here, they should just be able to retrace their steps back.
“Yeah, I want to do that too, but it seems I’ve forgotten which way I came from.”
“Huh? No way. You can’t even figure that out?”
Upon hearing the Little Princess’s words, Yake almost fainted. The Little Princess’s brain isn’t much better than his!
“Shut up! Isn’t this all your fault? If you hadn’t agreed to that woman’s request, I wouldn’t have brought you here!”
Aierjisi looked at Yake discontentedly. This was clearly his fault! Why was she being blamed?
“Yes, yes, my mistake. So what do we do now to get back to the city?”
Yake was also at a loss. Now was not the time to argue about whose fault it was; they needed to figure out how to get back.
“Hmm. Wait a moment, let me see if I can get to the rooftop of that building? If I can get to the top, I should be able to see the city location.”
Aierjisi pointed to the tallest building. If they could reach the roof, they could confirm their direction and find their way back.
