I Became a Little Vampire Princess After Being Infected by a Game Virus

Chapter 37: Let’s Get Hyped, Guys!

Chapter 37: Let’s Get Hyped, Guys!

“Ah. There’s truly nothing happier than having a hearty dinner after dipping in a hot spring, then just collapsing into bed.”

Aierjisi lay on the bed, swinging her legs with glee.

【She still carries the essence of a child in every movement, and yet she wants to grow up to be an adult. I dare say Aier’s hopes of that happening are slim.】

Watching the little princess kicking her feet on the bed, Yake didn’t say much—he just smiled and lay down on his own bed.

“By the way, Yake, how are you feeling right now? Do you need me to help you with your… uh, personal needs? I remember you made quite a ruckus last night.”

Aierjisi, cheekily propped on her bed, asked Yake if he required her assistance. She definitely wouldn’t pass up any opportunity to seduce Yake—she had every intention of keeping him wrapped around her finger.

“Forget it. Not today. And, how many times do I have to tell you? Can you act a bit more normal? I really can’t handle this overly teasing version of you.”

Yake had lost count of the times he had said this to the little princess. She used to be a perfectly normal princess—how did she transform into this flirtatious loli?

“Tsk. You really don’t appreciate my kindness, do you? Here I am, a princess, trying to help you with your personal issues, and this is how you respond? You wound my heart.”

Seeing that Yake was uninterested, Aierjisi sighed and flopped back onto the bed like a salted fish, not moving an inch.

“Don’t worry, when the time comes, if you still want my help, I won’t turn you down. But for now, let’s move on.”

Yake felt drained, worried that he might be exhausted by Aierjisi before even reaching the final boss.

“Really? So when exactly is ‘that time’ you’re talking about?”

“Not sure yet, just know it’s not right now. Let’s get some sleep first; there’s a lot to do tomorrow. I can’t help but wonder if the City Lord is holding up against those Adrian People’s attacks.”

Compared to his own concerns with the little princess, Yake was more worried about the City Lord. They were already under attack from the Adrian People; what were they doing now?

“Then let’s just sleep for now. We’ll explore the city more tomorrow. Good night, Yake.”

“Good night, Aier.”

After exchanging goodnights, Yake and Aierjisi closed their eyes and slipped into slumber.

“That inn those two idiots are staying at should be right here.”

A Jie arrived at the inn, confident that based on the intel from Gilbaris, this was indeed the place those two clowns were holed up.

“Hello, how can I assist you? Ah…”

Seeing a disheveled figure like A Jie walk into the inn, the waiter fought the urge to shove him out, forcing a smile to greet him.

But just as the waiter approached him, A Jie reached out, grabbing her by the throat and slamming her against the wall.

“Tell me, which room are the blonde idiot and the black-haired idiot staying in?”

Since Gilbaris hadn’t given him the names of those two, A Jie had to rely on their hair colors to interrogate the waiter.

“What are you talking about? I don’t know.”

In a hotel like this, the waiter had seen thousands of guests daily, and there were countless blonde and black-haired patrons. How was she supposed to know who A Jie meant?

“Stop playing dumb! A blonde little girl and a black-haired adult—they should be in a double room! Hurry up and tell me their room number, or I swear I’ll crush your head!”

A Jie was done wasting time with this waiter, tossing her aside like garbage while threatening her to check immediately.

“A blonde little girl, huh?”

Narrowing down to a blonde little girl would surely make it easier to find them. But the problem was, she couldn’t help him—if she did, that little girl might end up in this monster’s clutches.

“You’ll have to wait a moment, I’ll check for you.”

With no other choice, the waiter dug through the register for guests that matched the description while subtly pressing a hidden alarm button beneath the counter.

In the next instant, the doors of the Hot Spring Inn slammed shut.

“Hmph! You dare pull this kind of trick?!”

Realizing the doors were locked, A Jie understood he’d been played by this waiter. Enraged, he lunged at her, intent on tearing her apart.

“Ahhhh!!!”

But A Jie’s attack didn’t succeed. Mid-air, he seemed to hit something else, his body wracked with electrical shocks, letting out a scream of pain.

“Phew. Thank goodness the Boss made sure to set up these protective measures.”

Seeing A Jie howl, the waiter felt not a shred of sympathy. The surrounding area was fortified with defensive barriers; anyone like A Jie trying to barge in would get zapped.

Now all the waiter had to do was wait for the guards to respond to the alarm.

“You bastard!”

Seeing a guard right in front of him while being hindered by the damn barrier, A Jie was even more furious.

Fine, since you refuse to let me walk through heaven’s gates, I’ll gladly grant your wish.

A Jie pulled out three crystals Gilbaris had given him earlier and hurled them out.

Smash!

The crystals shattered on impact, releasing blue gas that freed the creatures sleeping within.

“What the heck is this?”

Watching A Jie throw the crystals, the waiter was curious but soon her curiosity morphed into fear.

“Ah! Monster, monster!”

From those three blue crystals emerged three strange blue creatures.

The first to break free was a bizarre bird. Outwardly, it seemed like an ordinary bird. But the kicker was…

“Ah, waking up feels so good! But if we’re awake, that means we have work to do, right? Let’s get hyped, guys!”

This bird could talk, and its speech was so fluent, it sounded as if it were its first language, not something learned later on.
