“What’s going on? Why are you staring at me?”

Yake put down the book in his hands and looked at Aierjisi. The Little Princess had been gazing at him ever since she came upstairs. Did he do something to upset her?

“Nothing. I just feel it’s a bit strange.”

“Strange? What do you mean by that? Can you tell me?”

Yake sat up on the bed. If the Little Princess found it strange, then there had to be some issue.

“Nothing, it’s just that right now… you seem unexpectedly handsome.”

Yake looked down at his ordinary outfit—a plain black shirt paired with baggy shorts meant for lounging. How could Aierjisi think he looked handsome like this? This was definitely a problem?!

Yake pulled out a bottle of pink potion from the box and tossed it to Aierjisi. This was a potion that could counter abnormal mental states. Yake had prepared it to avoid falling into illusions during adventures. It should also relieve the effects of Venus Grass on her mind.

As instructed, Aierjisi drank the entire potion, restoring her mental clarity.

Yake had thought about going along with the flow and winning over Aierjisi, but the effect of Venus Grass was temporary. What if it wore off, and the Little Princess realized she was just under a spell? She would definitely give him a good thrashing!

“So that’s how it is! No wonder I was drawn to you. You truly are the chosen human, my servant. Such awareness is commendable. However, Yake, if you truly want to be my partner, I might consider it.”

Peeking through the door crack were Xier and Reina, watching the two inside the room.
