"I Became a Witch, but Now Everyone's in Love with Me!"

vol. 1 chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Let Me Blast Your Big Breasts

Chapter 22: Let Me Blast Your Big Breasts

As Lina stepped through the inscribed barrier, her gaze locked onto the swirling magic ahead, and a cold, lethal gleam flashed in her blue eyes.

Her heart pounded. Magic surged with every breath. Dragon scales surfaced on her pale palms, and dozens of massive fireballs ignited at her sides, ready to launch.
Second-stage magical beasts can cast basic spells—a skill inherited through their bloodline, allowing them to use magic instinctively.
That’s why the second stage is significantly more dangerous than the first. In fact, with every level you climb, the risk multiplies. The final zone of the forest is so perilous that even instructors must team up to enter, and only the academy's sage-level principal can suppress ninth-level beasts alone without breaking a sweat.

Those creatures are completely immune to magical interference and mutations.
Lina was preparing to power through with her dragon-scale defense and magic shield when He Qin’s voice rang out from behind:
“Raider 022, attack.”

The activation code.
In 0.02 seconds, He Qin used high-speed incantation to summon three puppets. One, a humanoid figure with a pitch-black body and high-frequency magic blades for arms, darted past Lina and slashed into the monster horde on her left.
A second, a bulky guardian-type, deployed a magic shield around them, shielding her and Jiang Cha as they advanced like an unshakable mobile fortress, deflecting waves of long-range and aerial attacks.

The third puppet specialized in ranged firepower. Its magical projectiles pierced the skies, sniping flying creatures with unerring precision.
This was the might of a puppeteer.
He Qin managed all coordination, issued commands, and simultaneously cast temporary reinforcement spells on the trio.

Each puppet functioned like a miniature combat team.
So where was Jiang Cha?
“What the hell, Chabao! Are you even human?!”

Lina shouted, lobbing a fireball before retreating quickly. She layered on another shield as a precaution.
Ahead of her, the cold, black-haired girl with crimson eyes raised her hand—and with it, released thousands of lightning arrows, thick as iron spikes. They rained down, not upon the twisted bodies of the magical beasts, but into the spells they had cast or were in the process of casting.
Each arrow hit at a unique angle. Though individually weaker than the monsters’ own magic, they were precise enough to alter trajectories mid-flight.
Wind blades, lightning, fireballs, water bolts—

Magics collided mid-air in a frenzied chain reaction, destabilizing and exploding as incompatible forces clashed. Chaos multiplied chaos.
The result was a self-propagating magic vortex—and then—
“CHABAO! I’M GONNA KILL YOU!!!”

BOOM—!
Just as the golden-haired girl made it back into the guardian puppet’s protective range, Jiang Cha triggered the vortex.
A massive explosion tore through the battlefield, visible even from kilometers above. Over a thousand square meters of forest were obliterated.

In the sky above, Instructor Vladimir observed the blast. Mildly surprised, she opened Jiang Cha’s student file.
“Inherent magic: [Information Gathering]? Tch. This’ll be a headache.”
As one of the Battle Club’s instructors, she had to consider its future.

Jiang Cha’s battlefield talent was staggering. Through razor-sharp calculations, she had provoked a volatile magic storm and obliterated thousands of magical creatures. To pull that off as a first-year witch showed overwhelming potential.
She was undeniably suited for combat.
But her inherent magic also marked her as a potential scholar—deeply gifted in research.

If Jiang Cha were to focus solely on honing her battle prowess, she’d become a core asset to the Battle Club. But it would also spark fierce competition among instructors from other specializations.
“CHABAO!!! WERE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!”
The golden-haired girl, smoke rising from her scorched robes, clung to Jiang Cha’s hand and bit down with sharp dragon-teeth, her face puffed with fury.

“That was way too dangerous,” He Qin said, exhaling and pressing her heaving chest. “Next time, please warn us before doing something like that.”
She’d barely managed to reinforce the shield in time to avoid being blown away.
“I didn’t expect it to be that strong…”

Jiang Cha looked down at her hand with a sigh. The little golden-haired girl dangled from it, still gnawing furiously.
She hadn’t meant to miscalculate.
She’d used most of her computing power to map the lightning arrows’ trajectories. Even at full mental capacity, she’d only predicted an approximate blast range. Several unaccounted-for variables had doubled the explosion’s power.

What variables?
First: Lina’s Red Dragon Heart had attracted an excessive amount of ambient magic—like tossing gunpowder on a spark.
Second: Too many magical elements reacting together had created an unexpected resonance, amplifying the blast.

Third—
Jiang Cha glanced toward her mentor floating in the sky.
Without the students realizing, Vladimir had been feeding them subtle streams of her own magic to monitor their condition. A failsafe—helpful in emergencies.

But that rare and potent magic acted as a catalyst.
Jiang Cha only noticed it after the explosion caused a momentary vacuum in the area’s magical field. If that hadn’t happened, she might never have known.
“I swear I won’t do it again… Can you let go now?”

Jiang Cha offered a sincere apology.
She really hadn’t meant to hurt anyone—and she had given Lina time to react.
“Hmph!”

The little dragon released her hand, cheeks puffed in annoyance.
Then, surprisingly, she said:
“Fight me tomorrow! Ten rounds!”

“Fine, fine… I’ll beat you ten times if that’s what it takes.”
Jiang Cha blinked. Something felt off.
Lina grinned triumphantly, throwing up a V-sign. He Qin rolled her eyes.

“Heehee! That was awesome, Chabao! Teach me how to do that next time—I’m gonna blast Senior Sister Casey to bits!”
“…”
Jiang ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) Cha knew she’d been tricked. Lina hadn’t been angry at all. She just used the opportunity to bargain for something.

Typical thrill-seeking witch behavior.
Still, it was her fault, so she sighed and started explaining:
“It’s really just about calculating the trajectories, causing chaos, and then identifying the vortex’s weak point to detonate it. Not exactly a practical technique—it’s high-risk and condition-specific.”

But seeing Lina’s interest, she added:
“You could try generating a magic vortex with your own mana.”
“Oh? How?”

“Use your Fire Dragon Heart to release lots of active mana. Then mask your intent by flooding the air with fireballs…”
As they walked, she continued the explanation. The next zone wasn’t close, and they needed to keep moving to finish the assignment on time.
Luckily, the explosion had scared off most magical creatures. Even those that had mutated retained enough survival instinct to avoid fighting powerful enemies.

He Qin’s puppets easily cleared the few remaining threats.
“Hey… Chabao, did you know?”
Lina’s voice sounded a bit uncertain.

“What?”
Jiang Cha tilted her head.
“Most witches can’t calculate magic trajectories the way you do.”

“But you just did it earlier?”
“Not the same!”
Lina shook her head.

“I use alternate thought circuits to adjust the spell in real time. You calculate everything in advance and alter the opponent’s magic directly.”
She’d noticed Jiang Cha’s computational power was abnormal during their previous duel—but back then they’d only exchanged low-tier spells. Nothing on today’s scale.
Now it was clear: Jiang Cha had 34 standing thought circuits before she’d even started developing them consciously. And her computing ability was practically supercomputer-tier.

“Is that so?”
Jiang Cha nodded thoughtfully.
“Well… why not just dump more mana into it? You just want to put on a flashy show, right?”

“Exactly! Tomorrow, I’m going to give Senior Casey the full experience! I’ll blow those big boobs right off!”
Lina’s tiny fists clenched with gleeful vengeance.
He Qin: “…”

The elegant Yamato Nadeshiko glanced down at her own generous chest… then sighed.
“I’m never fighting Lina again.”
