I Became the Villain of Attack on Titan

Chapter 13: Can You Beat Mikasa? (2)

The children gathered in a circle, forming a ring around two people.

At the center stood Mikasa and Shiniro.

Even though training had ended, no one left. The unexpected duel was far too interesting to ignore.

"Who do you think will win?"

"Obviously Mikasa. No way she loses."

"Tch, you don't get it. Have you even seen Shiniro's techniques? No matter how strong someone is, if they've got arms and legs, they can be taken down."

"Yeah? And you think a cicada clinging to an old tree can do anything?"

Everyone had their own opinions, predicting the outcome.

The majority—eight people—believed Mikasa's overwhelming physical abilities would secure her victory.

Only two sided with Shiniro, placing their faith in his refined techniques.

"I… didn't think it'd blow up like this."

Eren, the one responsible for this whole mess, looked overwhelmed by how out of hand things had gotten.

All he had done was casually ask if Shiniro wanted to spar with Mikasa.

Shiniro hesitated for a moment before agreeing, and Mikasa, as expected, accepted without question.

But then, a few passing trainees caught wind of it.

And now, nearly all of the 104th Training Corps had gathered to watch.

"Ugh… I have no clue. Armin, who do you think will win?"

Armin thought for a long moment before answering.

"Well… Shiniro is incredibly skilled, but… I think Mikasa still has the edge."

It seemed he placed more weight on her raw strength.

"Tch… What about you, Reiner?"

Eren turned to Reiner, who sat across from Armin.

"Huh? Obviously Mikasa. Actually… I hope Mikasa wins."

Reiner smirked wickedly.

It was clear he had some grudges against Shiniro.

Then, turning to the person beside him, he grinned.

"Oh, look who we have here—a true expert. So, Miss Specialist, what's your prediction?"

"…Dunno."

Annie's response was flat and indifferent.

Unimpressed, Reiner pressed further.

"C'mon, just pick one. At least root for your student, yeah?"

"…My techniques are meant for fighting people."

Fighting people—

That was the essence of what Annie had been taught.

That's why he wasn't sure if his techniques would even work against someone like Mikasa—someone beyond human limits.

The only ways Shiniro could overturn such an overwhelming difference in strength were through chokes or striking vital points.

However, Mikasa's understanding of chokes and her reaction speed were both unknown variables.

There wasn't a single factor Shiniro could confidently call an advantage.
