I Betrayed My Family and Devoted Myself to the Demonic Empress

Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Removed from the Clan Records, My Name is Chu ChenL

Some things should either not be done at all—or done to the extreme.

No hesitation.

No retreat.

No way back.

Since Ye Chuchen had chosen the path of severing ties with the Ye Clan and being erased from the family records, he would never regret it.

Even if he had to grit his teeth and walk this dead-end path, he would push Ye Ding into seeking out the Ye Clan’s ancestor, forcing them to strike his name from the family registry, sever karmic connections, and cut off all ties of fortune.

From now on—he was himself, and the Ye Clan was the Ye Clan.

As he staggered out of the grand hall, Ye Chuchen wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. Without looking back, he rushed toward his dilapidated courtyard.

He was certain that it wouldn’t be long before Ye Ding “persuaded” the clan ancestor to remove his name and expel him.

Before leaving, he had to return to his room—to take the last remaining relic of his mother.

Not long after Ye Chuchen left, the housekeeper, Fu Bo, also stepped out of the hall. He sighed softly, then hurriedly followed after him.

Though his status as a servant meant he couldn’t speak freely in front of the Patriarch and the young ladies, as long as Ye Chuchen had not yet been officially expelled, then in Fu Bo’s heart, he would always be the true Holy Son of the Ye Clan.

“Please rest assured, Holy Son. Even if I must risk my life, I will protect you!”

Deep within the Ye Clan’s ancestral estate, a forbidding labyrinth of lethal formations stretched across the boundless void.

Ye Ding tore through the space, halting before a dark and silent courtyard. Standing upright, he respectfully bowed several times before speaking in a solemn tone.

“Ancestor, Ye Ding, the head of the clan, requests an audience.”

Ye Ding was a formidable Saint-level powerhouse, capable of rending space with a mere gesture and traversing the void freely.

Yet, before this courtyard, he did not dare to show even the slightest disrespect. Every movement was filled with reverence and fear.

Because within this very courtyard, the Ye Clan’s greatest powerhouse—Ancestor Ye Shanhe—was undergoing a life-or-death closed-door cultivation.

Ye Shanhe was the true pillar of the Ye Clan, the anchor of its fate, and the ultimate authority.

It was only because he was striving to break through to the Emperor Realm that he had relinquished the Patriarch’s position to Ye Ding, freeing himself from mundane affairs to fully devote himself to comprehending the Dao.

“Enter.”

A deep, aged voice resounded in Ye Ding’s ears.

Before he could react, the void in front of him shattered. An immense, unfathomable force of spiritual energy engulfed him, instantly pulling him into the courtyard.

By the time Ye Ding regained his senses, he found himself in a dimly lit chamber.

Standing before him was an old man, his skin dry and withered, his form hunched, yet his presence oppressive beyond measure.

“A-ancestor!”

Ye Ding trembled, hastily bowing over and over again in deep respect.

“You truly wish to remove Ye Chuchen from the family registry and expel him from the Ye Clan?”

The old man’s murky eyes opened. A piercing gaze, sharp as a divine blade, tore through space itself, directly locking onto Ye Chuchen, who was arguing with a servant in his courtyard.

“Do not forget—Ye Chuchen has done great service to the Ye Clan!”

“Without him, our clan would have needed at least several hundred more years of struggle to ascend to Immortal Clan status, let alone seize control of ninety-nine spiritual veins.”

Ye Shanhe was a peak-stage Saint King, only a step away from the legendary Emperor Realm.

Having long since attuned himself to the mysteries of heaven, he could see past and future alike.

Nothing in the Ye Clan could escape his gaze.

Even though Ye Ding had yet to explain, Ye Shanhe already knew everything that had happened in the grand hall.

“Y-you are right, Ancestor,” Ye Ding muttered, shrinking back slightly in fear. But after a brief hesitation, he forced himself to argue.

“But Ancestor, that wretched son is arrogantly relying on his past merits!”

“He has become utterly reckless, showing no regard for me, nor for the rules of the Ye Clan!”

“I followed your instructions—I had Ye Linger find an excuse to accuse him of stealing and force him to surrender the Holy Son title to Xiao Xuan. But…”

“But not only did he refuse to hand it over, he even threatened to sever our father-son relationship and abandon the Ye Clan!”

“He threatened me!”

“He is nothing but a crippled waste, yet he dares not recognize his place! If I, as Patriarch, do not punish him severely, how can I maintain my authority?”

So it was all a conspiracy.

The Ye Clan’s ancestor had orchestrated everything.

Ye Ding had merely been his pawn.

And Ye Linger—she had been assigned a role in the scheme, too.

The entire purpose of the so-called “family trial” was to pressure Ye Chuchen into voluntarily surrendering his status as the Holy Son to Xiao Xuan.

The night before, Ye Linger had been so excited that she couldn’t sleep.

Then, by coincidence, she discovered the disappearance of the Millennium Fire Reishi that Ye Chuchen had been cultivating on his windowsill.

That was the perfect excuse.

Thus, the so-called family tribunal took place.

Everyone had assumed that Ye Chuchen, the lowly, submissive waste, would obediently give up his position, bowing his head in gratitude while continuing to grovel at their feet.

But instead…

He refused.

And he fought back.

“What the hell got into that waste?!”

Ye Ding was furious as he grumbled in front of the ancestor.

“Does he still think he’s the youngest Saint-level powerhouse in the Mythic Desolation Continent?”

“Does he still think he’s Heaven’s Chosen?!”

Hearing Ye Ding’s complaints, Ye Shanhe frowned slightly.

But his withered face remained calm and calculating.

“The Heaven-Seeking Mirror has spoken. Xiao Xuan possesses an unrivaled divine physique and carries the potential of an Emperor.”

“He is indispensable to the Ye Clan.”

The Heaven-Seeking Mirror was an Extreme Dao Imperial Artifact passed down by the Ye Clan’s ancestors.

Though damaged, it could still glimpse into the future.

Three years ago, when Ye Chuchen’s divine physique was shattered and his cultivation crippled, Ye Shanhe had used the Heaven-Seeking Mirror to search for a new Chosen One to carry the clan’s future.

At first, they feared that the Ye Clan’s younger generation would be left without any prodigies.

But instead…

The results shook the entire Ye Clan.

Their family was now overflowing with “Heaven’s Chosen.”

And at the very center of it all—Xiao Xuan, the adopted son, was destined to become an Emperor.

“Enough. The Ye Clan is full of dragons and phoenixes. Even without him, we will still rise to the peak of the world.”

Ye Shanhe’s voice was cold and decisive.

“Announce it to the world.”

“Remove Ye Chuchen from the family records.”

“Strip him of the Ye name.”

“Sever all ties. Expel him from the Ye Clan. Even in death, he shall never return to the ancestral shrine!”
