I dashed forward, ducking under a swing of three tentacles. The pillars behind Dominos began to pulse, then breathed. They were alive, and I could feel their hatred pressing down like gravity.

With a slice, my sword bent the air—space fractured around the pillars, causing some to shatter. I use the power of the stars to open up a space that will suck all those tentacles.

Dominos barely flinched.

Then I saw how the flesh covering those pillars devoured the cracked I made, within a second it was already gone and those nasty things are back to attack me.

He raised both arms now, a grin forming. "I don't you will be able to stop me."

He stomped once.

The entire lair shook.

A black wave of devouring sludge burst from the pillars, crawling over the ground, devouring debris, stone—and then moving toward Alicia.

I didn't hesitate.

I dove between her and the sludge, slamming my sword down, just like before I erased all my worries and focused only with one thing.

Cutting whatever is in front of me.

A clear line descended unstoppable and incontainable, even Nirvana's flesh could not absorb it. And so tendrils of the dark matter scattered into oblivion.

The ground suddenly became uneven, my ears heard it clear, a part of the ground is slowly sinking while the other is moving upward. Dominos was suddenly distracted but I know his moving tentancles will move if I attack.

I swung my sword this time I did not infused any energy only my blade, only my intention to cut. That is only thing that will come to you Dominos.

I remained focus and as the ground keep falling and going up, fumes of flames sprung up and turn the surrounding into an ocean of fire.

I let the heat came to me for a moment I have even thought they gathering around me.

A ring of gravity erupted from me, cutting the devourer sludge around our bodies and flinging it away in a spiral of astral heat. But Dominos had already vanished.

I heard Alicia's telepathic message, I couldn't help but smirk and reply.

"I got it"

I moved my body creating a force that knock the attacking projectiles. And just like before I remained focus on my intention. My will became part of the sword and there is nothing that will hinder me.

My sense suddenly spike I began to feel where Dominos went and that also Alicia who also disappear when the batte intensified.

It seems the spell she have been casting is done just like she said.

I turned—and he descended like a black comet. Wings formed from tentacles, and a lance of condensed foreign matter was in his grip. His form—it wasn't even human anymore. He looked like a fallen angel wrapped in dark muddy energy.

I parried the lance, my arm numb from the impact. But it didn't hinder my focus. I swung my blade again cutting the spells that he tried to throw at me. Again he looked in pain but he still attacked.

Thats when sudden busrt of magic ignited, I saw Dominos smiled, its as if he was mocking me. However I smiled back to him while showing my middle finger.

He was confused not until he felt a gut wrenching pain. It made him stagger not knowing why he couldn't absorb the attack that came to him. Nirvana's flesh that fully assimilated into the dark matter was suddenly shook over. The energy of the surrounding was knock into messy circle asking me astonished how Alicia was able to cast such spell.

"Amazed?"

I heard her so I looked back and here I saw smiling as if she is child waiting to be praised.

"So? Where is you powerful finishing move?" She teased I just lift my sword hinting what I plan to do. But she just laugh I couldn't help but tilt my head in confusion. I was doing okay so why does she keep looking at me.

"Apollo" she sweetly said to me as she approach, then I felt her hand glided from hand to my sword.

"If you want your blade to reach your opponent then you must understand something"

"And that is?"

She smiled again when I asked making me more confused, then I saw her finger tap my sword.

"Understand each other" she just said as she step back disappearing as she did before.

"What does she even mean?"

I was left with confusion, I need to understand my sword?

I was stock staring at my blade for a few seconds until I heard someone.

"Guargh!!!!!"

Dominos his still vomiting so much of blood that I highly doubt could move properly after this. The wind blows strongly but I know it was actually Alicia's spell guiding the energy in the surrounding to break Dominos. Even the flesh of Nirvana could not withstand such spell.

This spell should be way above the capacity that the flesh can handle, maybe it's something that can overcome the power of the authorities. My thoughts suddenly fly out due to my curiosity if it weren't for the fact that I was holding a sword I wouldn't remember what Alicia just said.

"Understand the sword"

I kept staring at it, still no clue of what she meant.

"Hmm...." I close my eyes and tried to feel the weapon in my hand.

I was the one who force it, letting it basked into the empower of the heavenly bodies. So it only means I should know more about it than anyone else.

Because I am not just its wielder but also the creator that made this blade. I kept my eyes close trying to feel the energy that I am familiar with.

Suddenly I felt it, deep within its core, there is a heat, something burning like a living star, trembling not from weakness—but hunger.

My will resonated within the sword, no energy was leak or use just pure will and intent to cut

My will soared My heart synchronized with the sword. My vision snapped into perfect clarity. Even the speed of the tentacles—I could read them now.

I moved.

My sword blazed, a line of pure weightless like arc flew. I saw it Dominos tried to fight back, he is fighting back. The power of my will cut throught and truck my target, the already wreck body was cut inn half.

But still—Domios would not fall.

Even when my blade I struck him down, he reformed. Impeccable. Damage Reduction. He rewove himself from Nirvana's flesh, like nothing had happened.

And yet…

I could feel it.

He was burning energy. The gem was gone. The grimoire lost. And now, with a body being in chaos his regeneration drained him more. He may not act like it, but he wasn't limitless anymore. Alicia your spell is really amazing!

"Focus you need to cut him down"

I closed my eyes all senses directed at a single person, struggling yet not giving up.

My sword lifted.

I called Nebula.

It came to me with an answer.

Its wants what I wanted as well.

I couldn't help but smile, then my eyes saw it, a thin line right in the middle of the tsunami like wave of dark matter. It was the path I will take.

It wasn't an opening, but I will sure it will became one.
