I Finally Completed The Game After 45.000 Hours

Chapter 28: Legendary Grade!

[Devourer]

Type: Scythe

Rank: SSR

Special Ability: Devour [SSR], Split [SR], Disintegration [EX!]

Spells: Light [E], Torch [E]

Divine Energy: [0/3500]

Description: Unknown Artifact that one day appeared in this world. Nobody knows who made it or how it appeared here. It can absorb all types of energy and utilize it to activate embedded abilities or spells. It can also extract abilities and spells from other artifacts by destroying them. It is not known whether it is possible to extract the abilities back from the scythe.

The screen that appeared before Zero's eyes was the information about the scythe. It resembled the information the status screen gave... but it was more detailed.

He also noticed that everything was being ranked now. The scythe itself, its abilities and spells, even his perks.

The system started rambling on about how items are rated, but Zero waved the system screen away. He didn't want to listen to it right now.

(A.N. I posted an Auxiliary Chapter if you want to know all the rankings right now. But to avoid an info dump I will leave it out. The ranks will be explained later throughout the story though.)

He looked over at coal and his system spoke up. "Warning! Pet is being corrupted by an unknown life form."

Zero was displeased, he knew that Coal was infected with that fungi that zombified the ant, but the healing from that voice of the universe didn't heal it? This is all just too annoying to deal with.

Zero asked this system how to cure it, but all he got was complete silence. Does it not know or does it simply not want to answer him? What kind of... he sighed. He had to find that ant again and find out how it reset the zombification.

He jumped on top of Coal and ordered him to get them back to the cave immediately. He was weak and couldn't go into the fourth checkpoint right away. He would be obliterated by that skeleton there. He had to level back up to at least level 50 if he wanted to go there, he calculated that to be the mere minimum required considering his scythe.

Coal was a bit sad that his owner just mounted him as if nothing happened. No patting no warm words. He had just almost died and his owner didn't care one bit! Well, I guess he did save me... is what Coal thought.

He threw these thoughts away and ran back to the hole he came from. Coal didn't run straight to the cave because he didn't know where it was, and Zero didn't want to go straight to the cave because they would encounter some strong monsters if they ran straight.

So going to that ant tunnel was the fastest and safest way. Once they jumped down into the tunnel, Zero saw that the ant had somehow dug past the world border. So it wasn't from this world after all.

Usually, creatures are bound to a world and cannot leave it, at least that was the case in the game.

He dismounted Coal and went up to the world border and touched it. A message popped up in front of his face.

[World Border]

[A border set up by a god, is used to separate the pieces of the world from each other.]

[Reason: Presumably to create different identical worlds by separating the original world into more incomplete worlds. In other words, behind this wall lies a parallel world that is nearly identical to this one.]

Zero already knew that. In the game, you could walk up to any side of a border and break through it. Opening a path to a parallel world. This is the reason the game had an "infinite" world. It wasn't infinite, the world was limited by these borders, and the parallel worlds were mere copies of the same world.

An idea sparked in Zero's head, he took out his scythe and hit the world border, but nothing happened. The scythe absorbed a bunch of divine power, but it was not enough to rip the world border open.

He tried multiple times, but nothing changed. His scythe was radiating with a toxic green glow once again, it had completely refilled its divine energy.

[Warning! Devourer has reached its capacity limit. Further absorbing divine energy will damage the weapon.]

A screen appeared before his eyes once again. So the cracks on the blade were indeed damage to the scythe? He thought that it was transcending or something!

He facepalmed, he was way too careless and ignorant when it came to such things. He asked the system about the plasma blade that was forming but was once again faced with silence.

Right now the scythe didn't form any plasma blade, it was simply broken at the tip. Zero decided to challenge the system's information and absorbed more divine power anyway.

[Warning! Scythe entering overload mode!]

The scythe started radiating even brighter and eventually the plasma blade formed. Brighter than ever before it lit up the entire tunnel. More and more cracks started forming and the blade crumbled piece by piece.

[Warning! Scythe burning excessive amounts of divine energy!]

The plasma became brighter and brighter.

[Warning! Excessive burning can lead to an explosion!]

The blade crumbled completely, almost nothing was left of it. The plasma blade burnt up like never before. A screen appeared before Zero's eyes once again.

[Devourer]

Type: Scythe

Rank: SSR

Special Ability: Devour [SSR] ---> Devour [EX!], Split [SR], Disintegration [EX!]

Spells: Light [E], Torch [E]

Divine Energy: [24814/3500]

[Warning! Advise - Activate Light [E] and Torch [E]!]

This time Zero did as the system told. He felt that if he didn't do it, the scythe would either explode or evaporate.

The entire tunnel was filled with flames. Coal quickly jumped out to the surface to not get burnt. A huge flame escaped through the hole Coal jumped out of.

The flames shot up in the sky, and once again the entire world saw something unbelievable. The flames even reached the cave.

Torch [E] --> Torch [B]

Light [E] --> Light [A]

The skills even leveled up from excessive energy input. This scythe was insane for withstanding and redirecting such a large amount of power.

A voice could be heard by the entire world. This wasn't the voice of his system, it was the original voice of the universe.

[Attention! A New Legendary Grade artifact has just been created.]
