I Hate My Ex

Chapter 8: Chapter 7: Clearing the Air

The morning after the team dinner was tense. Pin hadn't spoken to Arin since their kiss, and both were confused about what it meant. Pin decided it was time to confront Arin.

"Why did you kiss me?" she asked, her voice shaking. "Was it just the drinks, or do you really have feelings for me?"

Arin felt a wave of emotions. "I… I don't know, Pin. Everything is so complicated. I didn't mean to make things worse."

"Complicated?" Pin echoed, her eyes narrowing. "You can't just blame everything on that. You hurt me with what you said, and now you want to kiss me? Do you think I'll forget about it?"

"I messed up," Arin admitted, feeling guilty. "I had a fight with my parents and left home for you. I thought I was doing the right thing, but then I saw you with Atul and got jealous. I said hurtful things."

"Do you really think I would cheat on you with Atul?" Pin replied, her voice rising. "He was just helping me. He's my friend, nothing more. You got it all wrong."

Just then, Poly walked in, hearing their argument. "Arin, you need to listen," she said. "I talked to Pin earlier, and she explained everything. You can't keep blaming her."

"What do you mean?" Arin asked, confused.

"Your parents have treated Pin badly since they found out about you two," Poly explained. "They wanted to break you up and told Pin she was after your money. That's why she left. Today is also the anniversary of her parents' death, and it's the day you broke up with her."

Arin felt her heart sink. She hadn't known any of this. "I didn't realize. I thought she was with Atul because she wanted someone else. I let my anger get the best of me."

"Exactly," Poly said, sympathetic. "You need to apologize and talk to her. If you care about her, be honest."

Arin's mind raced. "Where is she now?"

Before Arin could respond, Pin turned to Poly, feeling overwhelmed. "I can't do this right now," she said, shaking her head. "I need to leave." Without waiting for a response, she walked out, heading to Bangkok for the anniversary of her parents' death.

Arin watched her go, a wave of panic washing over her. "No, Pin, wait!" she called, but it was too late. Pin had already left.

Poly turned to Arin, her expression serious. "You need to talk to her, Arin. You have to explain everything. If you care about her, don't let her go."

"I didn't know she was leaving," Arin said, frustration building inside her. "I need to find her."

"You can't let misunderstandings keep you apart," Poly urged. "You need to be honest and clear things up. She's hurting, and you need to fix this."

Determined, Arin grabbed her things and headed out. She knew she had to find Pin before it was too late. As she drove to Bangkok, memories flooded her mind—how they fell in love, their laughter, and the pain of breaking up. Arin realized how much she missed Pin and how important it was to fight for their relationship.

When she arrived in Bangkok, Arin took a deep breath, ready to face Pin. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was willing to do anything to make things right.

With urgency, she headed to Pin's family home, hoping to find her and fix everything before they lost each other forever.
