When Harry got home, he found that Fleur had taken a leave from her work. She had just finished her two-week-long training—it usually took a month. Normally, she wouldn't be allowed to take a leave, but she was made an exception thanks to her connection with Harry and her talent. She would be joining them on the trip to Hawaii.
Thankfully, when Harry told Lily to buy everyone a ticket, Lily did exactly that. She bought everyone who lived at the Grimmauld Place and Fleur a ticket to Hawaii, including Draco. The ponce was not too thrilled to go on a plane but still decided to tag along. Harry would have charged Draco if he hadn't pitied Narcissa.
They left for the airport at 6:40. Their flight was at 7:25 and it only took them five minutes to arrive there. They didn't carry anything with them—their trunks were shrunk and kept in their pockets—so the check-in was a quick affair. Despite doing their best to act normal, they still stuck out like a sore thumb while waiting in the waiting room. They dressed well and were very unapproachable, making people think they came from a wealthy family, which was not wrong.
"So, this will be the first time for most of you. Charlus and Lily must have taken an aeroplane at least once," Harry remarked, earning a silent nod from Lily and Charlus.
"I bet it has nothing on a broom. It must be underwhelming inside," Draco scoffed.
"Pfft! Says the person who can't even ride a broom properly," Charlus snorted.
"What!?"
"Shut it, you two," Harry warned, earning a grunt from the pair. "What do you think, Fleur? Any expectation on how it would feel?"
Fleur marvelled at Harry's ability to control the hotheaded teenagers before answering, "Well, I like flying. As long as I am in the sky, I will be excited, regardless of the method. And no, blasting me to the sky with a spell won't make me happy, Harry. I can see your tasteless joke from a universe away."
Harry smiled awkwardly at Fleur's words as Lily and Bella giggled. They had fallen victim to Harry's dry humour many times. His jokes hit the spot sometimes, but they didn't most of the time. Narcissa watched the scene with a soft smile on her face. The light-hearted scene was not something she had ever witnessed in her household.
The boarding time came soon after. Belonging to the First Class, Harry and co. boarded the aeroplane first. Everyone thought that First Class was worth more than the price. They were rich, so they had a skewed view towards pricing in the Muggle world. They only knew proper pricing in the Wizarding world.
Funnily enough, it was their first time flying First Class. Harry was not so fortunate in his last life. His family could get by but was not blessed enough to afford luxury. Thinking about his old family made his heart twinge. He wondered what they were doing. Were they fine without him? Did they know what happened to him?
"Harry," Lily shook him out of his reverie. "You are spacing out. Is something the matter?"
"…I was just thinking about clouds," Harry drawled.
Lily wasn't convinced but let the matter go. Harry always had his moments of absolute silence. He was unreadable during those moments. Whenever Lily found Harry like that, she felt like he didn't belong to their world and not in a beautiful sense. It made Lily worry that Harry would suddenly disappear one day.
The plane took off a few minutes later. The unfamiliar Magicals had one opinion on the aeroplane: it was not very safe. Harry had to explain what turbulence was, a common occurrence during a flight. Five hours into the flight, they went to the longue. They were quite bored, especially the two hotheaded teenagers on the aeroplane.
"Bloody hell. They won't even serve us alcohol here? What's the point of putting it on the menu?" Charlus grumbled.
"I say we cast the Confundus Charm on these lots," Draco half grumbled half suggested.
"Yeah, that's not going to happen, you doughnut. We still have the trace on our wand," Charlus retorted dryly, causing Draco to curse under his breath.
Narcissa and Lily looked at the pair with unamused eyes. They didn't know the two had been drinking before seventeen. While they were quite a liberal parent, Lily and Narcissa certainly didn't want their sons to become alcoholics. Unaware of what they were thinking, Harry cast the Confundus Charm on the nearby flight attendants.
"Have a go, boys. They won't know," Harry smirked proudly.
"Sweet!" Draco exclaimed.
"Thanks, Harry!" Charlus grinned.
"…"
As Harry wondered if Death was approaching, Bella snickered at the scene. She was sure Harry would often find himself cross with Lily and Narcissa. Harry ignored the eerie feeling that was assaulting him and drank with Fleur. He even had the audacity to offer Lily and Narcissa a glass. They were miffed but still accepted his offer.
"Ah, this tastes like shite. I guess looking fancy doesn't always mean good," Harry remarked after taking a sip of his champagne.
"Are you talking about yourself?" Bella nodded before smirking at Harry.
"I am not Fancy-Pants McRich, Bella. Don't frame me that way," Harry deadpanned.
The group shared a laugh at the irony. Harry did look fancy and was rich. What separated him from other guys was that he didn't rub it on your face and had never tried to look fancy. He dressed the way he liked and it happened to be fancy. "He was a natural fashionista," was what Madam Malkin said about Harry.
Harry stood up an hour later, feeling the need to go to the toilet. As he reached the toilet, he was stopped by a flirty flight attendant. Harry entertained her by teasing her back. They traded amusing innuendoes that almost made Harry forget he needed to pee. When the flight attendant was about to get touchy-feely, Fleur came and shooed her away with her glare.
"Hello, Fleur."
"I am not amused, Harry."
"Uh, sorry. I was just…fooling around?"
"She is not even half of that Daphne girl and you went for her?"
That was true, so Harry remained quiet. With an awkward smile, he asked, "Is this your mating season? I'm sorry if I make you feel jealous."
Harry knew there was no mating season for Veela. He just liked to call Fleur's ovulation that way because she behaved territorially whenever it came. Fleur grumbled, prompting Harry to pull her into the toilet. They came out half an hour later. Fleur was absentminded and Harry had a pleasant smile on his face.
"I am going to rest," Fleur said as she went to her seat.
"Goodnight, Sweetheart," Harry kissed Fleur.
It was the shortest they had ever engaged in coitus but equally intense. An intense session with Harry always left Fleur tired. She even considered it an achievement as she had always passed out whenever they did it. Fleur quickly fell asleep and wouldn't wake until they arrived at Los Angeles International Airport.
"I should have brought my girlfriend with me so I could fool around with her," Charlus grumbled as they got off the aeroplane.
"I am not paying for your girlfriend," Harry informed. "Who is your girlfriend anyway?"
"Who is your girlfriend?" Charlus shot back.
"I got three. You know all of them," Harry chuckled.
Charlus harrumphed but didn't say anything. Harry shrugged and figured that he was bound to know who the lucky girl was.
"Tell me who they are—your girlfriends—and I will tell you mine," Charlus whispered.
"I don't keep secrets, Charlus. You know them," Harry informed, gesturing at the three women in front of them.
"You are dating Aunt Bella too!?" Charlus exclaimed in disbelief. "Whom else are you going for? Draco's mum?"
"I mean…"
Charlus followed Harry's line of sight and landed his eyes on Narcissa's shapely bottom. "I guess I can understand," he sighed.
"But don't worry, brat. I won't make Lily sad. I don't let my dick dictate my action!"
"Yeah, sure."
Once again, they found themselves in the waiting room after passing the arduous security checks. Draco grumbled they were wasting time and Harry couldn't help but agree. However, the time wasted equals the journey. The time they spent on the aeroplane brought them closer. It was something you wouldn't get from a Portkey.
Four hours later, they arrived in Honolulu. Thanks to being Magicals, they didn't suffer from jetlag. They didn't feel tired, but the boredom made them glad they had finally arrived. Harry made sure to tell everyone they wouldn't get the euphoria if they had gone there using a Portkey. They reluctantly agreed to his statement.
Once outside the airport, Harry stuck his wand into the air. A second later, a limousine zoomed before them. It was the USA's version of Knight Bus. They simply called it Taxi. The driver came out of the car and opened the door. Harry let the ladies go in first. Following them were Charlus and Draco. Harry went last but still found himself sandwiched between Lily and Bella.
"I prefer this over Knight Bus anytime," Draco remarked. "That bloody bus is a madness."
Harry agreed. The Taxi's interior was a spacious luxurious lounge room. It was way better than the Knight Bus. The cost was not a joke, though. Harry spent 30G to get to their hotel. But everything is more expensive in America, isn't it?
