85.
Knowing how talkative Hyunsu becomes when upset, Jian forced an awkward smile and turned away, grabbing Sehun’s arm.
He heard resentful voices behind him but ignored them. He was that tired.
Despite going to such lengths to come to this hotel. He should have booked two rooms even if Sehun would be upset.
As Jian froze, unable to do this or that due to his belated regret, Sehun wiggled his fingertips.
An invisible force pulled Jian. In an instant, he found himself standing between Sehun’s legs. He tried to back away, but Sehun was quicker in grabbing his waist.
Sehun lay down on the bed, hugging Jian. Suddenly finding himself on top of Sehun’s firm body, Jian let out a groan.
Heat quickly rose as their lower bodies rubbed against each other through thin fabric. He was tired, really tired. But his body, remembering the intense pleasure from before, was honest enough to crush Jian’s will.
“Hyung, you’re lewd. I was just trying to put you to sleep.”
“…Be quiet.”
Jian gritted his teeth at his gradually hardening member. He couldn’t let himself be swept up in the mood and have sex with Sehun again.
“I won’t do anything. You’re very tired today.”
As if reading his mind, Sehun gently stroked Jian’s head. Then he even patted his back with his palm.
“Go to sleep quickly. Should I sing you a lullaby?”
“…No need.”
His ears flushed red. Embarrassed, he tightly closed his eyes. If he ignored the lower part, Sehun’s body was warm.
The tension gradually left his body. The warmth enveloping his relaxing body was so affectionate that his eyelids grew heavier.
A moment later, Sehun smiled faintly at the wheezing breath from above. He laid Jian down facing him and brushed back the hair that had fallen on his forehead, strand by strand.
As he kissed the round forehead, a small noise caught his sensitive hearing.
Swish.
His eyes moved silently, scanning outside the window. The darkness that had settled outside showed nothing unusual except for the twinkling colorful lights.
However, Sehun trusted his instincts. He activated his skill window and then pulled up the blanket to cover Jian.
The sleeping face with slightly parted lips was lovely. Unable to resist, he kissed the small lips with a soft smack before getting up.
As he approached the window, his suspicion turned into certainty. In contrast to his smoothly upturned lips, his eyes watching outside were as cold as a midwinter wind.
“I’ve been waiting.”
A small monologue echoed in the room. Sehun’s irises began to turn red from the edges.
With a twitch of his fingertips, a man dressed all in black was dragged out in front of the window. Being on a high floor, the window was designed to open only slightly at the top.
Giving up on opening the window, Sehun brought his face close to it. The eyes visible above the black head mask filled with shock.
“I was wondering if I should go find you since you weren’t coming.”
His voice, barely above a whisper, was as sweet as if he were singing. The man struggled to break free from the force binding him, but Sehun’s gaze remained bored, as if looking at an overturned bug.
“Go and tell them.”
The moment Sehun’s eyes turned completely blood-red, the man’s movements stopped as if by magic. Watching the man’s eyes grow hazy, Sehun whispered in a cold voice.
“If they want to see the results of the experiment, tell them to appear before me in person. I’ll show them personally.”
“…Yes.”
The man’s answering voice faintly came through the window.
“Oh, and also tell them that if they keep me waiting, something unpleasant will happen. My patience is running thin.”
“…Understood.”
Sehun snapped his fingers once. The man’s hazy eyes slowly regained focus, and he bowed his head to Sehun.
Watching the man’s retreating figure gradually becoming a dot and disappearing, Sehun softly hummed a tune. As if he couldn’t wait for what was to come.

“I want to go in too.”
“No.”
“Why do you keep saying no? Han Sehun went in with the advance team and came back!”
Hyunsu shouted, full of indignation. However, Hyunwoo’s expression was firm. Seeing his resolute stance of absolutely not allowing it, Hyunsu turned to Jian this time.
“Jian hyung, take me with you. Okay? It’s safe if I go with you. Han Sehun came back without a scratch too.”
Seeing Hyunwoo behind Hyunsu saying countless things with his eyes, Jian could only manage an awkward smile.
He had anticipated this, but Hyunsu’s stubbornness was more intense than expected. He seemed unable to understand why only Sehun had been allowed to enter the Tower when he had also awakened as an S-rank.
“I’m quite familiar with using my skills now. And since they’re not combat-related skills, it won’t be that dangerous if I stay in the back and just provide support.”
Realizing that simply raising his voice wouldn’t work, Hyunsu started explaining in a calm, measured voice.
“Look. Wound healing, purification, clairvoyance, causing hearing loss, putting to sleep. They’re all basically support skills. Isn’t Han Sehun’s ability actually more dangerous? I heard he went wild in there without controlling his power.”
His voice was crisp as he explained his awakened skills, counting them off on his fingers. Jian pressed his throbbing forehead with his hand.
He should have stopped Jihwan first. This mess happened because he had recounted what happened inside the Tower to Hyunsu like some heroic tale.
Sehun was different – he didn’t want to be separated from Jian, wasn’t the type to panic at the sight of blood, and they had no choice but to take him in because they hadn’t yet rooted out the Jeongho Association.
But Hyunsu was different. Although legally an adult, he had just turned twenty and was still a kid with baby fuzz in Jian’s eyes. To Hyunwoo, he was a precious younger brother he absolutely didn’t want to send to a dangerous place.
In reality, the real Tower climb was about to begin now. They had faced their first hurdle on the 5th floor, but the dungeons and monsters appearing later were no less formidable.
No matter how hard they tried, there would inevitably be casualties. Even he might panic seeing someone die before his eyes, let alone Hyunsu.
Knowing this, Hyunwoo was using all his power to prevent the Hunter Management Bureau and the government from reaching out to Hyunsu.
This was possible partly due to Sehun’s performance in the advance team. Even Yeon Siyun hadn’t been deployed yet.
From the Hunter Management Bureau’s perspective, there was no reason yet to forcefully demand Hyunsu’s deployment at the risk of antagonizing Hyunwoo and the Darknet Guild.
“You haven’t even completed the new hunter training yet. Using skills a few times in the training room with Hyunwoo hyung is completely different from facing monsters directly.”
“Then what about Han Sehun?”
Whenever Sehun was mentioned, they had no response. Jian finally couldn’t find a rebuttal and gave Hyunwoo a troubled look.
To stop Hyunsu, they would have to prevent Sehun from entering the Tower as well.
“We’re going to stop Sehun from going in this time too. Yeon Siyun said he’s going in.”
“Is that true?”
“Yes. So Jian, you should sit this one out too.”
At Hyunwoo’s words, accompanied by a deep sigh, Hyunsu’s expression said, ‘This isn’t right.’
His strongest card had been Sehun, but with that gone, convincing Hyunwoo seemed far out of reach.
“Sehun needs to receive new hunter training too. I’ve put together a new program for him to complete it as quickly as possible, so let’s have him train with Hyunsu.”
“Alright.”
In fact, from the 6th floor onward, there wasn’t much Jian could do either. The monsters appearing on the 5th floor were particularly unique in how to deal with them, but from the next floor on, the monsters required hunters to work together to handle them.
Only the 5th and 45th floors were described in detail in the novel.
Jian also wanted Sehun to receive training. Although his skill control was better than expected, even the Sehun in the original story had struggled against Cerberus.
“By the way, where’s Sehun?”
“He had a bit of a fever since this morning, so he’s sleeping after taking some medicine. In the lounge.”
“Did you perhaps provoke Sehun’s jealousy?”
“What are you talking about?”
Jian frowned at the sudden question. With Hyunsu seemingly half giving up on entering the Tower immediately, Hyunwoo regained his composure.
“I was planning to start the training this afternoon. Is he not feeling well?”
“It’s not that bad. If we’re done talking, I’ll get going first. Please send me the training program schedule. If you let me know the time and place, I’ll bring Sehun.”
“Okay.”
“Jian hyung…”
Ignoring Hyunsu’s voice calling him, unable to let go of his lingering desire, Jian left the guild master’s office. He raised his wrist to check the time.
‘Is he still sleeping?’
He had seen Sehun sleeping on the bed in the lounge. He had deliberately laid him down in a secluded corner where people rarely go and even covered him with a blanket.
