I regressed and became the Sword Ice King

Chapter 13

The Cat-kin floated effortlessly in the air, her charm evident in every subtle movement. Each gesture could be studied in great detail to grasp the essence of her sensual allure. An otherworldly golden-yellow glow emanated from her eyes, captivating the hearts of all who laid eyes on her. Yet, something about this seemed too artificial, too contrived. Kira's patience was wearing thin.

She slowly turned around, ensuring the charm hadn't affected anyone nearby. Fortunately, it hadn't. Charms were notoriously difficult to resist, as they targeted the mind. Rather than an attack, a charm worked like an aphrodisiac, making one susceptible to its allure. And who wasn't aware of men's pent-up frustrations and desires, especially during wartime when encounters with women were scarce?

A Cat-kin capable of exuding such charm could effortlessly manipulate armies, bending them to her will... a terrifying prospect.

However, just as charms were challenging to defy, an unyielding will and unwavering mentality could resist their influence. The only exception would be a soul charm, which Luxuria didn't possess... yet.

"You exhibit remarkable confidence in the presence of the Twelve Great Families," Kira Merlin stated, her annoyance palpable in her tone.

The Cat-kin smiled, her canines hinting at a forbidden allure. "It seems my companion may have angered you. We merely came to accomplish our task and depart."

Her gaze drifted through the crowd, settling on Raph. "But he's proven quite difficult. Now, we must handle things ourselves."

Raph felt a shiver down his spine. He recognized her - the Greater Sin of Lust, Luxuria. Her charm had once sealed the fate of a platoon of Demon Exterminators and armies that fell under her control.

"The Greater Sin of Lust, Luxuria," Michaelo called out, his gaze fixed on the flying figure.
Your journey continues on empire

Luxuria sighed. "You see what I mean? Not only did we fail, but we were also discovered too early... it would be a shame to leave empty-handed, don't you think?"

Her voice was playful, with a high-pitched tone that could have struck a man's heart... literally.

"Oh? And you think we can't kill you now?" Kira asked, her anger palpable, as she flicked her finger and grasped her wand.

Her wand was red with black polka dots and a crimson ruby on its top. She flipped it, and thousands of glowing red balls formed in the air. "4th-tier high magic: Fireball."

Luxuria remained suspended in the air, her otherworldly smile fixed on her face as she raised her right hand. Surrounded by glowing fireballs that would have spelled doom for anyone else, she laughed. "Sadly for you all, we brought protection... and a trump card."

She pulled something from a pocket plane that had opened, and an ominous energy spread across the Arena like wildfire. The energy caused a rippling effect in the air, as the sky turned red and a gravitational force slammed against the people around the Colosseum. This wasn't a spell, nor was it a result of her abilities or some strange trump card...

it was simply the pressure the object she held exerted on the entirety of the Arena.

Kira Merlin was taken aback, swiftly projecting the balls of flame at Luxuria. Loud explosions erupted as the fireballs hurtled through the air and slammed against the Cat-kin, causing a chain reaction of glowing light that illuminated the Colosseum. However, the pressure remained unabated. In fact, after the explosion dissipated, the pressure intensified.

Members of the Great Families below the master level would have fainted from the sheer force, while those above it felt their hearts gripped with unease. Michaelo and the Patriarchs could barely withstand it, their feet rooted to the ground.

"Kughh... This pressure..." Raph muttered under his breath, his knees buckling under the suffocating sensation in his heart. It was a pressure he couldn't forget, even on the battlefield. They had only encountered it once or twice, but each time, the catastrophe was magnanimous. Primordial Devils brought misery and suffering, claiming lives and leaving a tarnishing impression on human minds.

"The heart of a Primordial Devil," Michaelo declared, his sword glowing vividly. With a single swing, a beautiful arc of light, reminiscent of a dark space filled with sparkling stars, projected out and cut through the pressure. The red skies returned to their former glory, and the pressure dissipated.

The Patriarchs finally had a moment to breathe, but it was enough to realize the danger posed by this group. Luxuria's surprise was evident, but soon replaced with playfulness. Her gaze shifted to Raph as five presences surrounded her, and Supubia revealed a similar object - the heart of a Primordial Devil.

The same pressure forced them back, and Luxuria prepared her inbuilt miasma to finish the rest.

"Thank you for the assist, sugar," she teased, a ball of sparks forming at the top of her palm. "You want to kill him, right? Make sure you do." Supubia muttered, closing his eyes to recover from his injuries.

"Oh my, how could a man... possibly leave everything to a woman." The sparks grew into a burning black flame, exuding a menacing amount of miasma. The Patriarchs were taken aback, their powers seemingly sealed unlike the first time the pressure appeared. Michaelo felt deeply annoyed, his gaze falling on Raph, who was still on his knees, his expression hidden.

His gaze shifted back to the flames that warped the atmosphere with their dancing nature. "To think the devils had attained such power!" he cried out, gaining the attention of all the Patriarchs, as something swirled deep within him. A devil's pressure could never work on the Juns, something he had discovered through numerous battles.

"The Mortal World has always been small, but let this be an opener! The future is not in our hands! The young generation! The golden generation! They shall be the ones to conquer the ones known as the Primordial Devils! Let this be a reminder!" His voice crackled with the sensation that swept throughout the Arena, his eyes glowing vividly, and his sword at the ready.

Aura gushed out of his body like a tsunami, a torrent of energy sweeping through the Arena.

Luxuria was taken aback once again, her playful demeanor replaced with confusion and fear. "How could a mere human?!" she cried out in annoyance. The flames floating above her hand ignited within themselves, expanding in size, and casting a shadow over the whole Colosseum within seconds.

Chun Kang Lin felt a sense of reverence as Michaelo walked forward, nullifying the effect of the Primordial pressure. 'They say strong children are born in times of pain and misery'. Michaelo thought, turning slightly towards his son, who was left in shock, struggling to stand back on his feet.

Raph cried out, unable to withstand the pressure of the Primordial Devil for more than a second. "Fa–Father! What do you think you're doing? Don-Don't overuse it!" This sort of weakness, he hated it, this helplessness as people protected him for so much of his life.

Michaelo chuckled. "So now you act your age". He turned away, holding his blade across the air, a chuckle escaping his lips. "You are our pride, Raph, and you have only taken your first step in attaining what you seek. Keep searching, keep struggling, until you have it all".

Luxuria was left confused at the commotion. What exactly could Michaelo Jun do to her right now? She was about to activate the spell of a 7th-tier Primordial Devil, a being akin to a 15th star in the Mortal Realm. What could this 11th star possibly do? She clicked her tongue, swinging her hands downwards.

"Just die then".

The flames descended like a judgment hammer, seeking destruction in their wake, but Michaelo remained fixed, his gaze sharp and steady.

"Chapter 13 of the Jun Swordsmanship!".

His energy transformed, taking shape into a void with millions of sparkling stars that danced along its horizon, as he looked up straight and drew a straight line through the air. A power that links each of the Chapters from 1 to 12 to make it into a formidable power, accompanied by his trait, LORD OVER TIME.

A thin line of energy streamed through the air at the speed of light, penetrating through the ball of flames, and within a blink of an eye, everything turned black.

"Nexus Surge".
