Chapter 470: 470 Invincible: The Hypocritical Speech of Omni-Man, Peer Threats, Allen the Alien and Destroying the Moon.

It was a bright day, but the atmosphere was anything but. There were somber faces and pained expressions, businesses closed, and sobs echoing everywhere. Just one death, just one member of the Guardians would have been enough to put the world into mourning, but for all of them to die was a devastating piece of news.

To the untrained eye, they might have looked like just another group of superheroes, but let's not forget that they were the Justice League of this world... Without anyone suggesting it, the superheroes, and even some supervillains, decided to mourn. That day, the world was more peaceful, at the cost of the lives of the Guardians.

Omni-Man was the one to preside over the ceremony. The man who, just a few days ago, claimed to be gravely injured, now descended from the sky, wearing his iconic white and red suit, with his red cape flowing. If the world hadn't fallen into chaos, it was because this man survived the attack by the terrifying enemy who killed the Guardians, and this moment was a brief hope for all of humanity.

Omni-Man looked at the crowd, dressed in black—heroes who respected the Guardians, politicians mourning their loss, and some celebrities openly admiring the Guardians. However, this first funeral was symbolic, a spectacle for the public watching from their homes. The real funeral would be secret, attended only by friends, family, and people like Cecil Stedman, who had a deep connection with the Guardians.

Omni-Man scanned the crowd, his face expressing sadness at what had happened. For those who didn't know the truth, Omni-Man seemed devastated by the loss of the Guardians. But for Cecil, Donald, and now even Darkblood, who observed from the shadow of a tree, it was infuriating how well this man could fake it when he was the one who killed them.

Omni-Man's gaze briefly drifted upwards before he spoke.

"I fought against the unimaginable in defense of this world. I fought alien tyrants, I defeated creatures from the depths, stood face to face with ancient gods."

Mark watched his father with sorrow. In his eyes, the Guardians were his father's friends, but since his father hadn't shed a single tear, he thought it was because Omni-Man couldn't show weakness, being who he was.

"But it didn't matter what I faced. I could do it because I wasn't alone. Darkwing, War Woman, Aquarus, Red Rush, Green Ghost, Martian Man, Immortal... the Guardians of the Globe. We lost Titans, the protectors of this world, and you may ask, who will protect you now... I WILL!"

Allen watched from a building, finding the scene really unpleasant from his perspective. He smirked with disdain at Omni-Man's words. "Old bastard..."

"I will protect you, but so will more like me!" Omni-Man smiled, looking at his son, "New heroes willing to give it all, and in these times of uncertainty, of fear, have faith and look to the sky."

Omni-Man soared into the air and disappeared...

...

Rick – God, what a bastard, I love it! Tsk, Omni-Man should've been a villain until the end; just look at him; he has everything for it!

Hestia – How frustrating! How can this guy give such a speech when he was the one who killed them?!

Kara – Damn it! How disgusting, is this guy supposed to be some sort of Superman?!

Tony – There wasn't even a shred of mercy when he killed them. If hell exists, there should be heaven in that world; I'm sure they look at Omni-Man helplessly right now... what a shameful guy...

Asia – Please, God, may their souls find peace in heaven...

MJ – This guy really tried hard to be a villain from the start of the story...

Annie – This guy...

Kimiko – Yeah, another Homelander...

...

Allen knew his Chat was frustrated, but he couldn't pay much attention to them, as the same man who had just given a speech of love and hope now appeared behind him.

"Do you think this is funny?" Omni-Man said with a frown.

"Oh? You have a good eye; you saw my smile from that distance..." Allen turned to look at Omni-man, who floating behind him. "But not too good, or you would notice the disdain in my smile..."

Omni-Man tensed his muscles. "I suppose for the killer, this attempt to commemorate the fallen heroes is nothing more than a mockery."

Allen laughed and then scoffed, "On the contrary, I feel sorry for them for having to listen to such a sweet speech from their murderer. Just thinking about how bad they must feel, I pity them."

Allen pretended to distrust Omni-Man, but he already knew the truth. Omni-Man pretended to distrust Allen, but he also knew the truth. Both of them looked at each other's perspectives with disdain, knowing that all of this was just an act. A flash of murderous intent passed through Omni-Man's eyes but he quickly suppressed it.

"Nolan Grayson..."

"What?"

"I didn't do it, but you won't believe me, and you don't need to but think carefully about your actions. I don't care about the future; if you try to kill me, I'll do the same, and I won't show mercy..."

The future was uncertain, and although Omni-Man might regret his actions, that didn't change the fact that, at this moment, he was a monster. If Omni-Man tried to kill him, Allen certainly wouldn't be kind to Him.

Omni-Man studied Allen intently, 'Still nothing, this young man doesn't fear me, but it's not due to ignorance of my power, which I haven't shown in full yet. Still, he doesn't fear me... but he's human, even if he's from another world. Even if he has several abilities, how could he compare to a Viltrumite?'

Omni-Man said no more and flew off.

...

Albedo – That bastard! How dare he show bloodlust to Allen-sama?! He deserves to die unpleasantly!

Esdeath – Leave it to me, I'll make every second of his agonizing death a torture!

Makima – Not only that, his soul must be properly dealt with afterward...

Allen remained calm; Omni-Man didn't worry him too much, but he was curious to see if Nolan's actions would change now that he existed in this world. To Nolan, all humans were nothing more than insects, some so harmless that, even if they could bite, they would always remain that way in his eyes. Nolan even went so far as to call his wife "a pet." He's that kind of man right now. Even his son, if he couldn't meet expectations, would simply be discarded.

The Viltrumite society idolized strength, deciding everything from jobs to respect, even the Regent, based on strength. This doctrine of power led them to the extreme of killing their weaker compatriots so that only the strong could give birth to the next generation.

Allen smirked looking in the direction Omni-Man went. "I warned you... Nolan Grayson..."

He disappeared...

...

At the real funeral site, Cecil, who could also teleport, approached Allen discreetly. He made sure not to appear too close to Allen to avoid drawing Omni-Man's suspicion.

"What happened?"

"Your old friend went to the rooftop where I was and threatened me again..."

"I knew it..." Cecil frowned. Nolan was paying too much attention to Allen. Cecil didn't want to lose someone like Allen. Now that the Guardians were gone and the new ones were still inexperienced, the world was very vulnerable. "Why would he do this?"

Cecil was so worried about Nolan's actions that he didn't stop to think about why he would do something like that.

Allen shrugged, "Tell me, what's been happening in Omni-Man's life lately?"

Cecil thought for a moment, and the first thing that came to mind was, "Invincible..."

Cecil's eyes widened... Mark's power awakening coincided with his change in attitude.

"Thanks..." said Cecil before disappearing.

...

Bocchi – I don't understand why not give all the information at once?

Artoria – If Allen suddenly starts revealing too much information, someone would inevitably question how he knows all of that.

After Omni-Man's betrayal, Cecil Stedman mistrusts even his own shadow. Allen is also a stranger who has part of Cecil's attention.

Allen shrugged, not thinking too much of it. "On the other hand, Cecil isn't Mother Teresa, I definitely don't want to be that close to him... and always giving him answers would get annoying."

Allen stayed silent, watching as the sky darkened and the coffins of the Guardians were brought in. He also saw Atom Eve arrive, smiling as she approached.

"I thought you wouldn't come." said the girl with a bright smile as she leaned forward.

"I'm not excited about funerals, but I have to keep an eye out for the guy who killed them, in case he shows up to finish the job..."

Atom Eve trembled. The news of the Guardians' death and Omni-Man's defeat was too much to process. Did such a terrifying person really exist?

"Wait..."

Eve looked at Allen, amazed that he had been put on watch in case the killer showed up.

'Could it be that he's stronger than Omni-Man?' Eve laughed at her own thoughts but remained by Allen's side as she told him about the new Guardians, herself, and other events that had happened.

"So I have 82% of Omni-Man's strength, haha."

"Eh! It's just an estimate, Robot tends to do these things. If he can't explain something with science, he gets nervous!"

Atom Eve didn't want to offend Allen, saying that made it sound like her strength was less than Omni-Man's. Allen noticed Eve's nervous look and patted her head.

"Don't worry, girl, I won't be mad about that. However, I think Omni-Man hasn't shown his full strength yet..."

Eve, who had blushed from being treated like a child, widened her eyes at Allen's words. Of course, even so, he didn't show the slightest worry about Omni-Man, which confused Eve. She then remembered Robot's words, this wasn't even Allen's full strength.

Allen could feel Eve's admiration for him growing. At the same time, Mark arrived with his mother in anger and immediately shot Allen a look of disdain.

"Seems like I'm not compatible with Viltrumites..."

Felicia – "That'll be until Anissa arrives, right?"

Allen didn't respond to that. He really didn't know what he would do with the crazy Viltrumite... But maybe she wouldn't even notice him with Mark around. (A/N: Sure...)

Mark's mother worried about her son, who couldn't stop looking at the beautiful redhead girl flirting with the attractive young man. She shook her head; these things about love and heartbreak were very common at their age, so Debora wouldn't say anything about her son's jealousy.

...

Allen didn't feel like listening to another speech from Nolan, and luckily, he didn't have to, as he received a call from Cecil.

"Walker, how good are you in space?"

"I have experience..."

"Good, because Nolan has to give another hypocritical speech at the real funeral, but a problematic guy is coming to Earth. He doesn't seem to have bad intentions, but insists on fighting with the protector of the world..."

"Cecil, that sounds like superhero work... pass."

"Yeah, I know you're not a superhero... but..."

"Tsk..."

"Alright, I'll make someone else handle Allen the Alien."

"Wait... did you say his name is Allen?"

"Right, they share the same name..."

"I changed my mind, I'm going to kick his ass..."

"Seriously?"

"Of course, there can only be one Allen, I'm going to beat the imposter!"

Allen's face darkened while Cecil was surprised. He had gotten used to Allen's lazy attitude, and the most negative thing he'd seen him do was be disdainful and contemptuous toward Omni-Man.

"Fine..."

Allen apologized to Eve and disappeared from the funeral, reappearing in space.

...

Nokotan – Master, does it really bother you that someone else has your name?

Albedo – Of course! Allen-sama is an absolute and perfect entity~ The fact that someone is using his name should be punishable by death!

Allen's name wasn't as popular as Alan's, but there were at least a thousand in the Chat who gulped upon hearing Albedo's words.

"Of course, it doesn't bother me; it would be silly to consider that since names aren't unique, but I wouldn't want Cecil to start thinking that I'll follow everything he asks me. After all, he has his ruthless, son of a bitch side..."

Esdeath – I see...

Allen smiled maliciously, "Still, I'll see if I can convince Allen the Alien to change his name."

The world unified in one thought: 'So he does dislike it...'

Allen kept a minute of silence, watching space. It was a different feeling from seeing it through images sent to NASA or in fake movies. This space was real, and the viewers could feel it through their screens. On the surface, there was desolation, emptiness, nothingness. However, that was just on the surface.

Bocchi peeked out from Allen's pocket; she, being a doll, can adapt her body to a myriad of situations, from extreme temperatures to the vacuum of space, "I'm scared..." *New trauma unlocked*.

"Don't worry... in this world space is more alive than you might think."

"Huh?"

Of course, Bocchi didn't understand, so Allen explained.

Space was empty with no sound or air; it seemed almost unreal that behind them, there was life. However, that is only on the surface, the universe of Invincible; not only is it populated, but it is overpopulated with many alien races, with millions of planets and civilizations scattered throughout the universe; it is an extremely rich world in that sense.

Some showed interest in seeing intelligent life.

Superman, Kara, and Starfire. They were aliens, but they looked so much like humans that they didn't appear to be. But in this world, there were many creatures of all kinds, from humanoids to beings that would definitely earn a spot in Men in Black.

Bocchi's eyes sparkled like many others, but that ended when the guest arrived.

Like a comet, a humanoid, orange in color, with a muscular body and a single eye, flew directly at Allen to punch him. However, he stopped.

"Wait, where's the other guy?"

"Do you mean Omni-Man?..." Allen asked by telepathy, ignoring the fact that the guy wouldn't show up.

"Who?"

"Guy dressed in white and red, with a mustache and black but graying hair"

"Oh yeah, that guy!"

"He's at a funeral..."

"This is problematic. Well, I guess you're his replacement..."

Allen frowned, "I'm not anyone's replacement... my name is Allen Walker, and in this world, my title is The Regulator."

"Oh, sounds powerful. But a human? No offense, but the other guy seemed tougher than you..." Allen the Alien paused, "Wait, you're also named Allen? Haha, this changes things. How about I give you a chance?"

"..."

"Look, since you're a human, I don't think you can stand to fight me, so let's play a game. You hit me."

"Fine."

Allen punched Allen the Alien in the face.

"Ah! That hurts! Wait until I finish!"

Allen the Alien rubbed his chin, feeling like his head was almost torn off.

"As I was saying, you hit me, and then I'll hit you back!"

Without letting him finish, Allen punched him in the stomach, knocking the air out of him and making his one eye bloodshot.

"URGH! WHAT THE HELL?!"

"Hey buddy, you're the one dictating the rules, and I'm just listening to you," Allen blatantly denied his guilt. Allen the Alien felt mocked, but his revenge would come later.

"Ugh... As I was saying, we'll play a resistance game... ah!... Each of us will take turns landing a blow on the other... and the one who lasts longer will be the winner..."

"Sounds interesting... but are you okay?"

Allen the Alien was panting after receiving two punches from Allen, and didn't seem to be in condition to continue the game.

"Nonsense. Someone like me wouldn't feel anything from a weak human's blows..."

"..." Allen wiped the smile off his face while narrowing his eyes.

...

Gwen – He's dead...

MJ – Yep.

Felicia – He's really dead...

Natasha – This alien should've chosen his words better...

Diana – Fool...

Unohana – Ara ara~ there are really some who don't appreciate their lives...

Kimiko – He's... dead...

Cate – Don't show mercy~

Emma Frost – Stupid Cyclops...

Nikky – Poor fool...

Yoruichi – Hahaha

Nanao – Sigh don't aliens have any reasoning ability...

Rías – He's practically fainting from just two hits and he's still provoking him...

Ruby – What a dumb guy...

Rangiku – Allen really meets every kind of character~

Ivy – He asked for it...

...

Allen the Alien wasn't as stupid as everyone thought, so he smiled and said, "But this time, I'll strike first..."

"Alright... but if I win, you'll change your name to John."

"Huh? Why?"

"Because you're too weak to use my name..."

Allen the Alien stood stunned for a moment, then felt angry for the first time. He had planned not to be too hard on Allen since he was a human and not a despicable Viltrumite, but now he changed his mind. He clenched his fists and prepared to send him back to Earth.

"Ah! Take this!"

Allen the Alien's punch hit Allen's face, causing vibrations that traveled up his arm before it broke. El alien shouted while stumbling back, then looked at Allen in disbelief, who hadn't moved an inch or taken any damage.

"I guess it's my turn..." Allen said, having lost his lazy, hesitant attitude.

"NO WAIT–"

*AUUUGEEE*

John the Alien crashed into the moon. No, he went through the moon. The force was so great that it tore off a fifth of the moon in the process, while the alien's consciousness took an astral journey to the end of the universe.

Allen looked at the moon he had destroyed and grabbed his head. "I'm not getting paid for this, right?"
