I, The Aeon of Trailblaze, Trailblazing the Multiverse

Chapter 36: A Half-Hearted Revolution Is No Revolution at All

"Please, go ahead."

Before they had descended, Herta, the Emanator of Erudition, had already conducted a preliminary scan of the planet. However, her findings were only broad estimations.

She had determined that this planet's civilization was still at a medieval level, with the entire human population concentrated on a single continent, while the other landmasses remained uninhabited by humans.

The planet's political systems were the three most common to early civilizations: tribal societies, kingdoms, and empires—an inevitable evolutionary pattern.

However, she had not gathered specific cultural details, national conflicts, or social dynamics.

Najenda took a deep breath.

"Then, let's start with history…"

She kept it brief, summarizing how the first Emperor had founded the Empire a thousand years ago, created the Teigu, and how the Empire had since rotted from within—its people suffering under an oppressive and hellish rule.

She gave particular emphasis to the role of the Revolutionary Army, the Night Raid's mission, and the atrocities committed by the corrupt nobility whom they had assassinated.

Finally, she outlined neighboring forces, including the Northern Tribes and the Western Kingdoms.

"Though we are assassins, our actions are solely for the sake of the Empire's people—so that they no longer suffer under oppression and cruelty."

"If possible, we would like to seek your aid, Mr. Welt."

"We wish to overthrow the Empire, eliminate the corrupt aristocracy that poisons this nation, and eradicate their enforcers who uphold this tyranny."

As she spoke, Najenda stood up and bowed at a full ninety degrees.

March 7th felt her sympathy welling up, rubbing her arms as goosebumps rose on her skin.

"That's horrible. Just listening to all this makes me feel sick… The way the nobility exploits and enslaves the people is absolutely disgusting."

"It's almost as bad as the Lord Ravagers, the Abominations of Abundance, or that lunatic who ran those inhumane primal regression experiments."

Stelle crossed her arms. "Even though I haven't seen it myself, just hearing about it makes my blood boil."

However, neither of them impulsively agreed to anything immediately. Instead, they both turned to Welt.

"Uncle Yang, what do you think?"

Welt adjusted his glasses.

"I'm sorry, but I cannot give you an answer just yet. We've only just arrived—we will not make rash decisions."

To him, a medieval Empire riddled with corruption and its people suffering under oppression was simply an inevitable part of history's development.

He would not act based solely on one side's testimony—he needed to witness it himself before deciding whether to intervene.

Najenda showed no disappointment.

"That is understandable, Mr. Welt. After all, you should not take my word alone as truth."

She could already tell that these three visitors from another world were fundamentally good people.

Once they saw the Empire's corruption and darkness with their own eyes, she had no doubt they would step in.

And as for whether they would notice the Empire's horrors?

She had no doubt in their abilities.

"Boss! Esteemed guests! Dinner is ready!"

At that moment, Mine peeked out from around the corner, waving excitedly.

Yet, despite her usual lively, haughty demeanor, her tone now carried a clear reverence when speaking to the three.

Even her voice was a little softer than usual.

Najenda smiled.

"Honored guests, please, allow me to escort you to the dining hall."

"The setting and food may be modest, I hope you will not find it unworthy."

March 7th waved her hands dismissively.

"No, no, not at all! I'm actually super excited to try this world's food!"

Stelle was already rubbing her hands together eagerly.

"Same! Aside from Herta Space Station's instant meals and Pom-Pom's cooking, I haven't had the chance to try food from another planet!"

Welt looked at the two lively girls and couldn't help but feel that he was already old. No, he was old.

"Since you two can't wait, let's go."

The Night Raid dining hall was rather simple—after all, as assassins, they didn't particularly care about gourmet food. As long as it was edible and not unpleasant, that was enough.

However, in order to host the three guests from the Astral Express, they had made considerable effort to set up the place properly, doing their absolute best.

As for the food itself, some of it was prepared by Sheele, the purple-haired, bespectacled airheaded girl, while the rest had been hurriedly gathered from the Capital by Lubbock.

This was, without a doubt, the most luxurious meal the Night Raid members had ever had.

At the same time, it was also the most nerve-wracking meal they had ever experienced.

After all, their guests were simply too terrifyingly strong—like gods in human form.

But soon enough, the mood became more relaxed.

March 7th and Stelle were both natural social butterflies, and their harmless, friendly demeanor made it easy to close the distance between them and the Night Raid members.

Before dinner was even halfway through, Akame, Leone, Mine, and Sheele had already become friends with them. It seemed like they could talk endlessly.

Curiosity fueled their conversations—after all, these were people from another world who had traveled across multiple different worlds. Their curiosity had already been pushed to the absolute limit.

March 7th was absolutely thriving under their admiring gazes, puffing out her chest, raising her chin, and telling animated, dramatic stories.

"Wow! That's incredible! A world entirely made of steel?"

"A world dedicated only to sports and entertainment? That Tita… Titan… whatever world? That's unbelievable!"

"So many amazing worlds! I really want to see them all!"

Meanwhile, Najenda and Welt were engaged in deep discussions about the Empire and the Revolutionary Army.

Welt, as a former leader of a savior organization, also shared advanced political and social structures, such as communism, socialism, and capitalism.

Najenda became incredibly excited, wanting to implement these ideas immediately.

Welt said seriously, "A revolution that is not thorough is no revolution at all."

Najenda's eyes burned with intensity.

"Yes! Red ideology is the true revolution! The only way to build a nation that truly gives equality and prosperity to all!"

Welt nodded and retrieved three books from his spatial storage.

"Although introducing these at your civilization's current stage might seem premature, I assure you—they are the key to solving everything."

The three books each had a single word on the cover:

Marxism.

Leninism.

Maoism.

Spreading socialist ideology in a supernatural world was impractical.

But what if every commoner had access to supernatural power?

That would change everything.

With two Aeons present, even if they did nothing, the common people would still naturally gain access to Paths.

And in the Path system, nobles were inherently at a disadvantage.

Corrupt aristocrats would be unable to walk a Path—only those who pursued ideals and progress could gain true power.

If red ideology spread, a massive wave of commoners would be inspired, eager to pave the way for a better world and forge new paths.

And just like that, the system would be reversed in an instant.

The decadent aristocracy and its outdated institutions would collapse like snow under the sun—fading into irrelevance almost overnight.

Najenda flipped open the books and only read a few lines before she began to tremble with excitement.

"This… this is the truth!"

"This is real truth! Regardless of the corruption within the Revolutionary Army's upper ranks, the rank-and-file soldiers are all commoners."

"As long as we spread this truth, it will naturally ignite a revolution that will sweep across the land like a tidal wave!"

"Wherever the red banner spreads, the people will rise!"
