Chapter 25: Chaos, Hell, Void, And a new world

Grey wiped the blood from her lips, her body battered and bruised, but her spirit unbroken. The space tunnel around them warped and twisted, Floating debris spun chaotically in the weightless void, the very fabric of existence cracking.

Across from her was her tormentor. He stood unharmed, his golden armor gleaming, his crimson eyes burning with amusement. He twirled a finger, distorting the tunnel's space and causing a gravitational wave that sent Grey crashing into the shifting walls.

[The Man]: Is this all? You're supposed to be entertaining me.

Grey coughed, forcing herself to stand. The pain was immense, her body screaming in protest, but she refused to fall. She glared at the man, her grip tightening on her axe.

[Grey]: Tch... You talk too much.

With a flicker of motion, she disappeared, reappearing behind him, her Abyss Ocean Sword blazing with energy. She swung with all her strength—

CLANG!

The Harbinger blocked it with just a single hand.

Grey's eyes widened as he smirked.

[The Man]: You're persistent, I'll give you that. But…

With a flick of his wrist, a pulse of energy sent Grey flying backward again. She barely managed to right herself, skidding to a stop in midair as her energy flickered.

Grey coughed violently, crimson staining her lips as she struggled to steady herself. Her vision blurred for a moment, but she forced herself to focus. She had landed hard, but she was still in one piece—barely.

A jagged crack had formed in the very fabric of the space tunnel where she had been slammed before. Dark energy seeped from it, distorting reality like ink spreading through water. It pulsed ominously, radiating an eerie, otherworldly force.

Grey barely had time to register what had happened before she was hurled into the crack in space.

Her opponent remained unchanged, standing tall and unbothered, as if their battle was nothing more than a passing amusement.

With a slow, deliberate step, he approached. His golden armor gleamed in the fractured light of the tunnel, and his crimson eyes burned with a cruel, twisted glee.

[The Man]: Pathetic.

Before she could react, he grabbed a fistful of her silver hair and lifted her effortlessly off the ground.

Grey clenched her teeth, refusing to cry out despite the sharp pain in her scalp. The man tilted his head, studying her like an insect caught in his grasp.

[The Man]: I expected more from you, little draconian.

A smirk curled at his lips.

Then, without warning—

He threw her.

Right into the crack in space.

Grey barely had time to register what was happening before she was swallowed whole. The last thing she saw was his amused expression as the crack snapped shut behind her—

He turned away as if already losing interest, he left after that.

[[The Jellyfish of Light and Dark] has been disconnected from the group]

[Back to Grey]

Grey could do nothing but endure.

Her body was ripped apart, burned, frozen, and then forced back together in an endless, agonizing cycle. The void twisted her, shattered her, and remade her over and over, as if reality itself was unsure whether she should live or die.

She saw worlds—born and destroyed in an instant.

A white-haired wolf boy cut down a man in cold blood.

A man in green shared a kiss with a vampire before turning to slaughter an army of the undead.

A boy, his world stolen by a god, marched forward with an army of fallen angels and demons, his wrath shaking the very heavens.

A girl with red hair and horns battled a relentless horde of killer robots, her clones fighting alongside her.

A villain cast aside his past, standing defiantly against injustice.

And then—

She saw him.

A man with crow-like wings. He stood in the endless expanse of space, his piercing gaze meeting hers across the impossible distance.

The moment their eyes locked, Grey's very soul trembled. It was as if he could see straight through her, as if he knew everything—who she was, what she had become, and what she would become.

Then—darkness.

Grey gasped, her lungs burning as if she had just resurfaced from drowning.

[System Notification]:

『Warning: Unknown Dimensional Rift Detected.』

『Survival Rate: 0.01%』

『Status: Critical』

Her breath came in ragged gasps. Blood dripped from her wounds, her vision blurred, her body barely holding together.

[HP: 5,000 / 14,000]

She should be dead…

And yet—she still lived just as she was about to close her eyes.

[System Notification]:

『Legendary Skill: Abyss Awakening – Unlocked.』

Grey barely had time to process the notification before her vision twisted, the very fabric of space shifting around her.

A deafening silence followed.

Then—

She fell.

The weight of her own existence pressed down on her as if she had been torn from reality and thrown into another. Her limbs wouldn't respond. Her body felt like it was being dragged through an ocean of thick, suffocating air. Every nerve screamed in pain, but she couldn't even gasp for breath.

[HP: 10 / 14,000]

Grey's body still ached, but she forced herself to keep moving. She bit down on the potion bottle, crushing the glass between her teeth, letting the liquid and shards slide down her throat. It burned like hell, but she barely flinched.

[HP: 1,000 / 14,000]

With a ragged breath, she scanned her surroundings. The road ahead led to a castle city, its towering walls visible even from a distance. She had no idea where she was, but standing still wasn't an option.

As she walked, she checked her inventory. Gold bars. That was enough. She paid the entrance fee without a word and stepped inside.

The streets were lively—vendors calling out, soldiers sharpening weapons, and common folk haggling over goods. She didn't care. She needed food.

Her legs carried her toward a bar that looked decent enough. Pushing open the wooden door, she stepped inside.

The scent of grilled meat and ale filled the air. The chatter of patrons dulled the moment she entered. A burly man near the entrance smirked and moved toward her, clearly looking for trouble.

Big mistake.

Before he could even speak, Grey slammed him to the ground with a single brutal motion. The whole room went silent.

She didn't even acknowledge the gasps or the way people shuffled away. Instead, she walked to the counter, sat down, and ordered—

"Meat. A lot of it."

As she tore into her meal, the bar's doors creaked open again.

Two men entered. Their presence commanded attention one had Battle-worn armor, and he had blond hair and blue eyes.

The other had a wired uniform like that of an officer or a general, he had black hair and eyes.

[???]: Hey, Lucas, let's see if we can—

He stopped mid-sentence.

Because his gaze had locked onto hers.

Grey met his stare, her sky-blue eyes flickering with something cold.

[Note: Where do you think Grey is]
