I’M A MIST SHINOBI IN NARUTO

Chapter 11: CHAPTER 11

Kirigakure stood isolated across the sea, the only major village among the Five Great Nations whose country was an island.

But for generations, Kirigakure's leaders had harbored a mainland dream.

The reality was harsh—island resources were limited. No matter how vast the ocean, the materials on land would eventually be exhausted.

And so, with each Shinobi World War, Kirigakure had seized the chance to expand its influence.

Yet, despite the ambition—

Despite the three major wars fought so far—

Kirigakure had never gained even a single inch of mainland territory.

Still, being an island had one advantage.

Kirigakure was incredibly difficult to invade.

Early morning.

Thick mist rolled across the sea.

Hundreds of warships sliced through the fog.

This was the might of Kirigakure's army.

To crush Konohagakure, Yagura had mobilized nearly three thousand shinobi.

A staggering number.

But in war, numbers alone meant little.

When the battle between Iwagakure and Kumogakure had erupted, the hot-tempered Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, had dispatched tens of thousands of shinobi to besiege the Third Raikage.

Compared to that—

Sending three thousand against the strongest of the Five Great Villages?

It was suicide.

If Kirigakure wanted to defeat Konoha, there was only one way.

A decisive first strike.

And in this war—

The Seven Ninja Swordsmen would play a critical role.

In the original timeline, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen had invaded Konoha.

But their mission had ended in utter disaster.

Might Duy, a seemingly insignificant shinobi, had unlocked the Eight Gates Released Formation.

And in his rampage, four of the seven had perished.

The so-called Seven Swordsmen had been reduced to three.

From that moment on, the war staggered to a halt.

And Kirigakure's defeat became inevitable.

The sea was vast and endless.

Warships moved in unison, cutting across the misty waves.

From a distance, the fleet looked magnificent.

But a closer look revealed damaged hulls and splintered decks.

Some ships had been blasted open by enemy attacks.

Just two hours ago, Kirigakure's fleet had clashed with Konoha's naval forces.

Though Konoha's overall strength surpassed Kirigakure's, this was a naval battle.

And Kirigakure ruled the seas.

Konoha's entire fleet had been annihilated.

Still, it wasn't a flawless victory.

The Mist Shinobi had suffered 70 casualties.

Konoha's dead numbered 100.

A slim advantage—but an advantage nonetheless.

On the deck of one of the leading warships, Yutostood silently, gazing toward the mainland.

Behind him, Terumi Mei approached.

"Wayne, what's the plan? My sister will listen to you."

Yutoturned, studying her curiously.

"When did you become so obedient?"

Terumi Mei grinned playfully.

"Who is leading Konoha's forces?" Yutoasked.

Terumi Mei's eyes sparkled.

"Tsunade of the Sannin."

A flicker of admiration crossed her face.

"The granddaughter of the First and Second Hokage… I heard she's a legendary kunoichi. I want to be like her someday."

Yutochuckled.

"In the future, you'll be just as strong."

Then, his gaze turned sharp.

"Wait… Didn't Tsunade leave Konoha? Why is she here?"

In the original timeline, Tsunade had abandoned the village after losing her younger brother Nawaki and her lover, Dan.

Terumi Mei folded her arms.

"It's because of Chiyo."

Yutoraised an eyebrow.

"Chiyo of Sunagakure?"

Terumi Mei nodded.

"During Konoha's war with Sunagakure, Chiyo developed a deadly poison. Konoha's forces suffered heavy losses, and the Third Hokage had no choice but to recall Tsunade."

She smiled wryly.

"They say it took her only a few days to create an antidote. The world calls her 'the Legendary Medical Saint' for a reason."

Yutosaid nothing, his eyes sweeping over the warships.

A dozen ships followed in formation, each carrying several hundred shinobi.

He had defeated Loquat Shizuma, forcing Yagura to hand him command of the forces assigned to the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.

And so, these three to four hundred warriors…

Now answered to him.

Terumi Mei's expression suddenly darkened.

"Kurigara Kushimaru is as treacherous as ever."

She unrolled a map, frowning.

"Our orders are to attack Konoha's eastern coastal city."

Wayne's eyes narrowed.

"That's their strongest defensive point."

Terumi Mei's voice was grim.

"Over a thousand Konoha shinobi are stationed there, all elite forces. They outnumber us completely… A direct assault is suicide."

Yutosmirked.

"It's fine."

"Fine?!"

Terumi Mei stared at him.

"You think we can just roll in head-on and win?!"

Wayne's confidence never wavered.

"Of course."

Terumi Mei hesitated, then smiled slyly.

"What do you need from me?"

Wayne's expression didn't change.

"Wear a short skirt, put on a bikini, and be my cheerleader."

Terumi Mei almost choked.

"…Excuse me?!"

But Wayne's eyes gleamed darkly.

"My Water Release… will wipe them all out."

Hours passed.

At last, the mainland came into view.

The coastal city loomed in the distance.

And on the shoreline—

Konoha's forces had spotted them.

A Konoha sensor ninja raised the alarm.

"Enemy warships sighted! Over a dozen! Approaching fast!"

One of the Konoha commanders scoffed.

"Hah! They're coming straight at us? What fools."

Another ninja grinned.

"They think they can just sail right in? They'll be sitting ducks out there."

For them—

This was an opportunity.

A chance to gain merit.

A chance to wipe out the Mist forces before they even reached land.

What they didn't realize was—

Yutowas thinking the exact same thing.
