"Heh heh!"

Luffy laughed proudly, grinning wide. "I knew it, Shirogai! You used my Gum-Gum powers! Rubber doesn't take damage like that!"

"As expected from our Captain—sharp as ever," Shirogai replied with a faint smirk, then turned to the stunned Robin. "Miss Robin, I think there's been a misunderstanding. I'm not with the World Government. I'm just a humble pirate."

"The Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates is Monkey D. Luffy," Robin said, her gaze resting on Shirogai's face. He did look familiar.

"You're... the new pirate with a 100 million Berries bounty. Vice-Captain of the Straw Hats... 'The Plunderer' Shirogai?"

Shirogai gave a slight bow, calm and composed. "That's me."

"I apologize. What happened earlier was my own carelessness."

Robin steadied her breathing, not pressing further about how he knew her identity. Instead, she turned and tossed something to Vivi.

Vivi caught it, confused. "An Eternal Pose?"

Robin spoke clearly. "Your next destination is Small Garden. I was going to warn you—it's dangerous. Even Baroque Works treads carefully there. I thought you might prefer to use this Pose to detour somewhere safer... but now, I think you're fully capable of handling what's ahead."

"Miss All Sunday…"

Vivi stared at the Eternal Pose in her hands, her thoughts jumbled. Was this woman truly an enemy, or was there more to her?

She'd destroyed Igaram's ship, yet now she was worried about their survival.

Robin turned toward Luffy. "You must be Captain Monkey D. Luffy."

Before anyone could react, the Straw Hat on Luffy's head floated into Robin's hand. She gently placed it over her cowboy hat.

Shirogai watched, lips curving in amusement.

So, Robin… once you've worn that hat, it's already decided. You'll be part of this crew.

"Hey! That's my hat! Give it back!" Luffy shouted angrily.

Shirogai's fingers moved slightly. In the next moment, the Straw Hat spun upward, lifted by an unseen force, and landed gently back on Luffy's head.

Luffy clutched it protectively. "Phew... don't mess with my treasure!"

Robin froze. She'd felt something strange. A short arm had briefly bloomed from her own shoulder—an ability exclusive to her Hana Hana no Mi—and tossed the hat back. It disappeared instantly, leaving behind only a drifting red petal.

So... that's why they call him 'The Plunderer'.

He can use others Devil Fruit abilities?

Her sharp instincts quickly pieced it together.

"I've made a fool of myself," Robin said softly.

Leaning casually against the mast, Shirogai offered a quiet smile. "It happens."

Robin shook her head slightly, then exhaled. "Heh. What a surprising man."

Vivi suddenly realized the Eternal Pose in her hand was gone.

"Hmph!"

Luffy crushed the Eternal Pose in his hand, glaring at Robin. "You destroyed Igaram's ship. Our course isn't yours to decide!"

Robin turned back with a faint smile. "Is that so? That's a shame. I don't dislike any of you. Until next time."

"Don't come back! I hate you!" Luffy shouted, sticking his tongue out.

Robin walked gracefully to the edge of the Going Merry, paused, and scanned the crew one last time. Her gaze lingered on Shirogai and Luffy.

Then she leapt overboard.

"She jumped into the sea?!"

"She's not… trying to drown, is she?!"

Everyone rushed to the ship's edge.

They spotted Robin standing atop a massive sea turtle's shell.

"Let's go."

The turtle—wearing a matching cowboy hat—paddled calmly away.

…

"Damn it! Why did you all just let her go? She's the one who attacked Vivi's companion!" Nami shouted, furious.

Luffy lay flat on the deck after being smacked by Nami's full force. "She seemed pretty reasonable..."

Zoro rubbed his bruised head. "She only got serious when she thought Shirogai was a threat. Other than that, she wasn't hostile."

Sanji, hearts in his eyes despite the beatings, declared, "Miss Nami, she was just too elegant and beautiful! I could never hit a lady like that!"

Nami puffed her cheeks, exasperated. "And you, Shirogai! She literally tried to kill you and you didn't fight back!"

Shirogai stretched his arms and yawned, already walking toward the cabin. "It was just a girl throwing a tantrum. Not worth my time. Wake me if anything important happens."

Nami sighed and walked over to Vivi. "I swear, they're all useless."

Usopp, standing forgotten nearby, blinked blankly into the wind.

"..."

Even Nami hadn't scolded him. He felt oddly left out.

"Caw!"

Black Duck Runner flapped his wings, resting on Usopp's shoulder.

Usopp's depression deepened. "Even the duck wasn't scolded…"

Luffy's voice rang out again. "Next up is Small Garden, huh? Sounds fun! Sanji, I'm hungry!"

"I'm hungry too!" Usopp chimed in immediately.

Sanji sighed. "Alright, alright. Good thing Shirogai got me that locked fridge. Otherwise, you two would've eaten everything already."

Zoro was fast asleep on the deck, a snot bubble rising and falling with each breath.

Luffy and Usopp snuck up, poked it with a needle, and burst it.

"You two!"

Zoro roared and grabbed his sword, chasing them around the ship.

Vivi giggled quietly. "Is your ship always this… chaotic?"

Nami gave her a tired look. "You haven't even seen them sparring. Zoro, Shirogai, and Sanji constantly fight during the day. Usopp's usually cheering, and Luffy's just yelling whatever comes to mind. It's exhausting."

Vivi smiled sincerely. "Your crew has such a warm atmosphere."

…

Two days later.

"Shirogai, haven't you caught anything yet?"

Sanji emerged from the kitchen, surprised. Shirogai was usually skilled at fishing.

Shirogai turned, gesturing toward an empty bucket. "Our dear Captain ate all the bait."

"Then what are you using now?"

"This."

Shirogai lifted the line to reveal his bait—Luffy, tied to the end of the hook and dangling above the sea.

Pulled up from the water, Luffy flailed. "Sanji! Save me!"

Sanji glanced at him, then shrugged. "Keep at it. Call me if you catch something."

Shirogai chuckled, lowering Luffy—still gagged and wriggling—back into the sea.

Bubbles rose from the surface, followed by muffled cries.

"Gurgle (Help!) Waa (I)... waa waa (won't eat) bait again!"
