I'm A Plunderer In The World Of One Piece.

Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Brave Warrior Of The Sea.

Boom!

The volcano erupted in the distance, spewing a thick column of smoke into the sky—like a signal fire igniting the battlefield.

Both Giants, who had been drinking cheerfully with their guests, instantly turned serious.

"…It's time for the duel."

They put down their food and drink in unison, eyes sharp and filled with a warrior's resolve.

Over on Luffy's side, Dorry stood up slowly, bracing a massive hand on his knee. He reached for the longsword resting nearby.

"All right. It's time I head out."

"Huh?"

Luffy blinked, confused. But then he noticed it—Dorry's entire presence had shifted. Gone was the cheerful, meat-devouring giant. What remained was a battle-hardened warrior.

On the other side of the island, Shirogai drank casually with Brogy, while Nami and Usopp quietly gnawed on roasted meat, still uneasy around the towering Giant.

"Heh heh heh, Shirogai, you're one bold little man!"

Brogy, clearly tipsy, gave Shirogai a playful punch. Despite the difference in size, Shirogai absorbed it with ease.

But then the volcano rumbled again, louder.

Brogy's smile faded.

"…I have to go."

He set down his wine barrel, grabbed his massive axe and shield, and stuffed three full barrels of strong liquor into his pack.

"Go ahead, Brogy," Shirogai said calmly. "It's that time again."

Brogy nodded. "Exactly. The eruption signals the duel. It's been this way for over a hundred years."

Nami raised a brow. "Duel?"

Brogy's expression turned firm. "Yes. A battle between me and Dorry—also a warrior of the Giant Tribe."

Usopp blinked. "Wait... you've been fighting for a hundred years?! Why?!"

Brogy laughed heartily. "The reason? I've long forgotten it! Kawahahaha!"

Usopp looked at him, stunned. "You forgot?! You're kidding…"

Shirogai smirked, setting down his glass. "Usopp, when warriors fight, the reason doesn't always matter. What matters is that one falls, and the other walks away with honor."

Brogy nodded, laughing again. "That's right! It's all for glory!"

The forest shook as thunderous footsteps approached.

Dorry emerged from the trees, his massive silhouette filling the clearing.

Without a word, both Giants locked eyes and charged.

"The reason for the duel?" they shouted.

"Long forgotten!"

Brogy raised his shield in one hand, his axe glinting in the other.

Dorry mirrored him—shield up front, massive sword held low, tip trailing behind.

CLASH!

Their weapons collided with a deafening crash, sending shockwaves through the island. Smaller creatures nearby collapsed from the sheer pressure, ears bleeding from the impact.

The Giants grinned wildly.

"The 73,466th battle… begins!"

"I'm blown away…"

Luffy had been knocked flat by the shockwave. He stared up at the Giants in awe.

The power in their clash shook him deeply.

Only now did he understand why Shirogai sometimes transformed into a massive smoke giant using his Devil Fruit. It wasn't just to look cool—there was something raw and noble in that form.

"Hehe… I want to become a Giant too!"

Luffy grinned, already thinking up a move that could rival Shirogai's Smoke Giant.

"Amazing…" Usopp stared at the giants, completely captivated. Something deep inside him stirred—an awakening.

Meanwhile, Nami crossed her arms, unimpressed.

"This is just dumb. We should sneak back to the ship while they're busy."

Shirogai, still reeking of alcohol, smirked. "Nami, this kind of battle is sacred between warriors. You wouldn't understand."

Usopp nodded vigorously. "Yeah! There's a flag—an invisible one—on their chests. It says 'Warrior.' And if either of them falls or retreats, that flag gets torn down and disappears forever."

Nami tilted her head. "Usopp… what are you talking about?"

But Usopp was caught in the moment, eyes shining.

"This… this is what it means to be a warrior! This is who I want to become! A brave, honorable sea warrior!"

Shirogai chuckled and teased, "So tell me, Usopp—if someone tried to interrupt this sacred duel, what would you do?"

Usopp's eyes burned. "I'd stop them. No matter who they are. I wouldn't let anyone dishonor a fight like this!"

"Well said," Shirogai yawned. "I drank too much. Time to relieve myself."

He staggered off into the forest.

"Idiotic giants."

Miss Valentine hovered silently above Brogy, while he and Dorry laughed mid-battle. She popped open a small vial filled with Mr. 5's blood and poured it into Brogy's wine barrel.

The mixture fizzed.

Now the wine had become a ticking bomb—ready to be detonated by Mr. 5 at any moment.

"Hmph. Mr. 3 really is cunning," she muttered.

Mr. 5, watching from the trees, smirked coldly.

"Contaminate the wine, injure one of the Giants, disrupt the balance. Once a victor emerges, he'll blame the Straw Hat Pirates for poisoning his drink. He'll attack them, and while they're busy fending him off…"

He paused, eyes narrowing.

"We take out the monster—that monster…"

His voice lowered.

"I learned this trick—detonating through blood—from him. I've made it my own now. Anyone who drinks a liquid laced with my blood... will explode. No exceptions."

Clap. Clap. Clap.

A slow, mocking applause echoed behind him.

"Well said, Mr. 5. Congratulations. You're officially qualified to play the villain now."

"Y-You…!"

Mr. 5 spun around.

There stood the very person who'd haunted his nightmares—Shirogai Yamikuro.

Miss Valentine landed nearby, scowling.

"You bastard! I still haven't forgotten how you tricked me last time. You're dead!"

Mr. 5 cocked his revolver and aimed it at Shirogai's chest.

Shirogai, unfazed, yawned. "I don't have time to play. Just sleep."

In an instant, his body dispersed into a thick cloud of black mist, engulfing them both.

The anesthetic-laced fog seeped into their lungs and eyes.

"Ugh..."

Before either could react, they collapsed unconscious.

Inside the wax room.

Mr. 3 sat elegantly sipping tea, awaiting news from Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

A lazy voice called out from behind the door.

"Open up, little punk. I know you're in there."
