Chapter 18: Chapitre 18
The rays of the sun warm the body of Pri-pri who had just woken up. He stretches and looks around him. He sees Abellio asleep on a chair, but looking at Vati's bed, he sees that it is empty.
Pri-pri: "Haven't you seen Vati?"
Abellio: "mmmh"
Pri-pri: "He might have left very early."
Abellio gets up, drooling and walking like a zombie.
Abellio: "thermal spring, it calls me, thermal spring."
He opens the door and steps out, continuing to walk like a zombie.
Pri-pri: "I'm going to get him, it's not good for a young boy to overwork himself like that."
Pri-pri tidies up the room and goes out too.
Abellio arrives again at his favorite hot spring, undresses, washes himself, and enters the hot water.
Abellio: "gloogloogloo"
Pri-pri walks for several dozen minutes following the path that Vati and he used to take for training, but the path was different than usual. Trees and rocks were broken and covered the paths.
He jumps over a tree trunk and sees blood flowing on the ground.
Pri-pri: "mmh what is… VATI!"
He rushes towards Vati's body and makes him swallow an apple seed.
Vati regains a bit of energy and opens his eyes, Pri-pri supports him by the shoulder to help him get up.
"What happened?"
But Vati's mind was still foggy, and he remained silent.
Abellio was alone at this hour in the hot spring.
*Footsteps*
A tall, muscular man with brown hair appears, he was covered in dirt and blood and enters the water.
Abellio glances at him out of the corner of his eye.
The blood stained the water.
it's pleasant
Abellio: *smile* "Isn't it!" All of this is thanks to a subtle balance between the activation of skin nociceptors and the production of endorphins in the brain. The endorphin travels through the body to reduce the activity of nociceptors, but a small part of the molecules returns to the brain and activates dopaminergic neurons, making us feel relaxed and experiencing a profound bliss mmmmmh.
"You seem to be very knowledgeable about biology, sir." Are you a doctor?
"No, but I studied medicine, I dropped out halfway, I realized I preferred scientific research to medicine, I love studying things, so I thought why not create my own laboratory!"
He stands up in excitement.
"And is he good?"
Abellio: "Yeah... but it was destroyed" *sniff*
I understand you, it's hard to lose something important for which we have invested a lot. But well, we have to move on.
Great minds think alike.
Resilience is the most important capacity of the human species, far more than intelligence, because what's the point of being a genius if you don't even have the will to live!?
It's true, adapting, resisting, and fighting against the world by any means in the hope of a better life, resilience is a beautiful ability, which is unfortunately too rare.
So if specimens endowed with such rare skills were all killed, where would the world go? I fume at the thought of all these strong Men killed by the weakness and cowardice of humans consumed by fear, greed, and doubt.
What would our present look like if they had not experienced such a fate at the hands of their fellow beings? I'm sure it would have been much better than now!
So, Abellio, what should I do when faced with someone who is ready to eliminate all these special beings just to serve their own interests?
Abellio remained silent with a serious and disdainful expression.
Abellio: "Personally, I like strong people."
*Smile*
As long as they don't oppose me
BOOM!
