"Tch!" Shigaraki flinched as the cold metal pressed harder against his waist. He froze, not daring to turn around.

"What the hell are your Quirks?" he hissed.

Madara gave a soft snort, his tone laced with contempt.

"Didn't you bother checking the students' Quirks before storming the academy?"

He flipped the dagger lightly in his fingers, eyes narrowed.

"Or are you just that overconfident in your own strength?"

Shigaraki's expression twisted.

There was no way this level of calm, this sheer pressure… belonged to some student.

A spy? An agent from some other force?

The thought dug into his mind like a splinter—unsettling, but… plausible.

Shigaraki's lips curled into a sneer.

"Our goal's All Might." His voice dropped low, gravelly. "So—are you ready to gamble the lives of your little classmates?"

His hand twitched by his side.

"Sure, your Quirks are strong. I'll give you that. But… what about the others?"

The threat lingered in the air, his smirk oozing malice.

"I give the word… and Nomu will rip them all apart."

He took a deliberate step back.

"Nomu may not match you… but against the others? He'll slaughter them."

Shigaraki's eyes gleamed with sick confidence.

But Madara?

Madara just stared.

And smiled.

"Oh… I really don't care if they live or die." Madara flicked the dagger in his hand, almost lazily.

"But…" His crimson eyes sharpened. "…they can't die yet."

Shigaraki stiffened.

"Why…?"

Madara turned slightly, a cold chuckle in his throat.

"Because I haven't had my fun yet."

Shigaraki scowled and produced a strange, jagged weapon from inside his coat.

"This little toy…" he sneered, "…can punch through even All Might's hide. His defense isn't perfect."

Madara tilted his head, unimpressed.

"Oh? I thought I just sent Nomu flying a moment ago."

The skeletal armor around Madara's body began to dissolve, fading into the air like mist.

Shigaraki's eyes gleamed.

"Ha… Can't keep that up for long, can you?"

His heart pounded. This was his chance.

Shigaraki lunged forward, convinced he'd found the opening.

Without that strange skeleton, the brat couldn't teleport—he was sure of it.

A hulking creature with exposed brain tissue and grotesque muscles barreled into the center of the battlefield.

The monster ignored Ida entirely, its eyes locked onto Aizawa and Thirteen.

"Teacher, watch out!" Ida screamed.

Aizawa turned—

A giant hand slammed forward—

At that exact moment—

Madara reappeared beside them in a blur of movement, catching Aizawa before the blow could crush him.

The next second, he flashed them both backward, away from Nomu's reach.

"Tch." Madara clicked his tongue.

Ahead—

Nomu's claws sliced through thin air. A spray of blood splattered across the ground—his own, from the recoil of the failed strike.

"Uchiha!" Ida gasped in relief. "You're alright! They didn't capture you?"

Madara shrugged.

"What do you think?"

Kurogiri's form flickered at the edge of the battlefield. His gaze snapped toward Madara—

And froze.

He's back here?! But Tomura Shigaraki is… safe? How—

Kurogiri's doubt swirled inside him.

Whatever happened between Tomura and this boy… it wasn't normal.

But there was no time to dwell on that now.

For now, they had to survive.
