In Bleach as Gilgamesh

Chapter 48: Chapter 48 - Shoot to Kill, Shinsō!

Chapter 48 - Shoot to Kill, Shinsō!

In the Indian epic "Mahabharata," there is a description:

[The deity rode his Vimana, flying swiftly, and launched a projectile filled with immense power at the three cities of the Vrsni and Andhaka clans.]

[A plume of white smoke rose from the ground, shining as brightly as ten thousand suns.]

[This secret weapon, known as the 'Iron Thunderbolt,' turned all enemies to ashes.]

[Bodies were burned beyond recognition, hair and nails fell out, and warriors jumped into streams to wash themselves and their equipment clean.]

The 'Iron Thunderbolt' mentioned here is an ancient nuclear warhead mounted on the Vimana.

At this moment, the ancient nuclear warhead exploded within the Garganta.

In an instant, the Garganta was completely illuminated, leaving no dark spots.

In the midst of this endless light, a massive mushroom cloud rose, and the terrifying explosion caused the already unstable space of the Garganta to start collapsing.

Gilgamesh had already left the Garganta on the Vimana.

The Vimana, capable of high-speed flight ignoring physical laws, had exited the Garganta the moment the ancient nuclear warhead exploded, arriving in Hueco Mundo.

Through the still-open Garganta, Gilgamesh admired the light and mushroom cloud blooming inside, feeling a wave of satisfaction. He murmured, "Hmm, quite a splendid firework."

Yoruichi had already awakened from her hypnosis.

Seeing the Garganta filled with endless light and feeling the suffocating, terrifying power of the ancient nuclear warhead's explosion, Yoruichi couldn't help but be dumbfounded.

Hearing Gilgamesh's comment, Yoruichi really wanted to revert to her human form, grab Gilgamesh by the collar, and shake him, asking, "Do you hear yourself? Firework? Really?"

Gilgamesh, understanding Yoruichi's thoughts, couldn't help but laugh.

The Vimana carried only two ancient nuclear warheads, and one had already been used, leaving only one, which Gilgamesh didn't intend to use now.

After a quick assessment, Gilgamesh found that the Vimana still had about two-thirds of its energy.

The one-third loss was due to withstanding Aizen Sōsuke's Kurohitsugi.

He had to admit, Aizen's Kurohitsugi was incredibly powerful, even when used without incantation.

If it had been the magic barrier generated by the golden throne during the battle with Isshin, it probably wouldn't have been able to withstand Aizen's Kurohitsugi.

However, Gilgamesh wasn't concerned about the Vimana's energy consumption.

The Vimana's energy source was solar power.

And it wasn't ordinary solar power but solar energy generated by solar crystals using mercury as fuel, a mythological energy source.

The King's Treasury never lacked minerals like mercury.

Gilgamesh was now curious to see if Aizen could survive the nuclear explosion.

Meanwhile, Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tōsen, who had been waiting in Hueco Mundo, saw the Vimana emerging from the Garganta.

Though Tōsen couldn't see, he had trained his senses over the years, forming a black-and-white mental image of his surroundings.

Thus, Tōsen could 'see' the Vimana's outline, but he couldn't appreciate its magnificence.

Gin, however, was different.

Seeing the radiant Vimana floating in the sky, Gin's usually narrowed eyes widened in awe.

To be honest, it was the first time he had seen something so magnificent.

Sensing Gin's unusual emotions, Tōsen asked, "Gin, what do you see?"

Gin didn't respond, not because he didn't want to, but because he couldn't find the words to describe the Vimana.

Seeing Gin silent, Tōsen frowned and asked again, "Do you see Captain Aizen?"

Gin suddenly snapped back to reality.

That's right, why hasn't Aizen appeared yet?

And what was that radiant vessel? Was it Aizen's latest creation?

Filled with questions, Gin's expression grew serious. "I don't see Captain Aizen."

Frowning, Gin added, "Something feels off. Let's carefully approach and check."

Tōsen agreed, and they both used Shunpo to quickly approach the Vimana.

Soon, they reached a point in the void near the Vimana, gazing at it from a distance.

Seeing Gilgamesh sitting on the Vimana, petting Yoruichi, Gin and Tōsen's expressions changed drastically.

They never expected Gilgamesh to be on the Vimana.

So, where was Aizen?

Shouldn't it be Aizen bringing Gilgamesh to Hueco Mundo?

As they thought this, they noticed Gilgamesh looking at the still-open Garganta.

Following his gaze, they saw the light-filled Garganta, their hearts shaking.

The Garganta's interior was as bright as the sun, beyond their understanding.

They didn't know what had happened, but they suspected the light and Aizen's absence were related to Gilgamesh.

However, they didn't believe Aizen could be defeated by Gilgamesh.

Gin and Tōsen didn't fully know the extent of Aizen's power.

But they knew the tip of Aizen's strength iceberg was already terrifying.

So, they thought Gilgamesh must have used some method to delay Aizen in the Garganta.

The sun-like light must have been Gilgamesh's doing.

Thinking this, Gin and Tōsen exchanged glances, nodding slightly.

Without words, their long-term cooperation had built an understanding: they would capture Gilgamesh and wait for Aizen to emerge from the Garganta before making any decisions.

Without hesitation, Tōsen used Shunpo to quickly approach the Vimana.

Gin, meanwhile, drew his Zanpakutō, aiming it at Gilgamesh. His usually narrowed eyes opened slightly as he chanted, "Shoot to kill, Shinsō!"

In the next moment, Shinsō, originally a short blade, extended rapidly, surpassing Tōsen with terrifying speed, aiming straight for Gilgamesh.

Crack!

Suddenly, a barrier appeared, blocking Shinsō but not Tōsen.

Before Gin and Tōsen could react, Tōsen was already on the Vimana, beside Gilgamesh.

Seeing Gilgamesh so close, Tōsen raised his Zanpakutō to strike.

At that moment, Gilgamesh's youthful yet authoritative voice rang out, "Kaname Tōsen, do you want to avenge Kakyō?"

Boom!

With those simple words, Tōsen was struck as if by lightning, his pupils shaking violently, and his raised Zanpakutō frozen in place.

'Kakyō, my friend, how does he know!?'
