Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Hades: Impossible, Absolutely Impossible!
Gaal slowly turned around, looking at the demons who seemed ready for battle, finding it amusing yet suppressing any outward display of mirth.
Maintaining the demeanor of an angel's disdain and arrogance toward demons, he looked at the other demons with a calm, imperious gaze.
"Now, It's your turn."
Kyoka's expression was uncertain, biting her lip as she whispered under her breath, "Prepare to Demonize."
She didn't dare gamble on whether Gaal truly had the ability to eliminate them.
For crying out loud...
An A-Class Mage possessing such an ace card seemed unbelievable.
Kyoka had entirely assumed that this transformation was Gaal's trump card, otherwise, why would his expression remain so indifferent upon seeing them?
There wasn't a hint of fear.
Each of them, as an individual demon, could easily trap and kill many S-Class Mages with their unknown sorcery.
Yet Gaal showed no signs of fear.
It was evident now that this Requip Magic of Erza Scarlet's 'The Knight' gave him the confidence to face demons. A self-assuredness that was completely fearless of demons...
"Order: Self-Enhancement!"
"Order: Self-Breakthrough, Magic Eye Unleashed!"
"Curse: Demon Form!"
Kyoka, Seilah, and Tempester—the three demons—all initiated their demon forms at almost the same moment, unleashing their full capabilities.
An evil aura radiated from the three of them, causing the surrounding trees to wither and die.
Amidst the chaotic and evil atmosphere, Kyoka transformed into a demon with a body covered in silver-white armor, except for some human-like features around the mouth.
Sharp claws, bipedal form, and elbow spikes portrayed her as a machine of war.
Seilah transformed into a pitch-black demon with sharp horns. Although not as sharp as Kyoka's form, her eyes were filled with a terrifying amount of destructive magic power.
Tempester's transformation led to becoming an immense ten-meter demon, exuding an aura similar to Deliora's disaster-like presence.
Kyoka shouted with a fierce tone, "Attack!"
The gigantic demon, now Tempester, charged toward Gaal at a sprint, intending to test Gaal's abilities using its seemingly immortal body.
Kyoka rushed at Gaal like a streak of silver light. Meanwhile, Seilah stood in her place, focusing her Magic Eye on Gaal and raising both hands.
"Curse Beam!!!"
A wheel of light, the size of a millstone, appeared from Seilah's hands, as her ominous Magic Eye released an even more captivating and soul-stirring light.
The forceful magic released with a violent outburst.
Reeled backward by the impact, Seilah managed to maintain control as the cursed beam roared toward Gaal.
Almost instantly, it made contact.
The curse beam shot through a remnant shadow, charging forward to crash into the barrier of birds' nests created by gigantic trees.
Boom—!!!
A magic explosion soared hundreds of meters high; its fiery sphere spread out, its scorching heat sweeping over everything.
Massive trees groaned and cracked as they succumbed to the explosion's shockwave.
On the other side of the battlefield, Azuma, half-buried within the branches, couldn't help but curse: "Damn demons. Don't they have brains?"
He hurried to connect his magic with the trees, checking the effects of the space-sealing formation.
Luckily, the space formation was sturdy and could endure as long as most of the overall structure wasn't destroyed at once.
Nearby, Kain Hikaru's expression twisted in worry. "What should we do, Azuma? Should we report to the Guild Master?"
Azuma gritted his teeth and replied, "That's all we can do, that little brat is something else.... Requip Magic? What is that ridiculous thing anyway?"
Azuma quickly took out a communicator, reaching out to Hades to inform him of the situation.
At the Grimoire Heart Guild, Hades sat in his chair, listening to Azuma's report with a tinge of skepticism.
"An angel? Are you sure?"
There was a wry laugh from Azuma on the other end, confirming it repeatedly.
Hades frowned deeply, lifting a hand as several books flew from the shelf.
All floated to Hades, their pages turning automatically without wind.
Hades' eyes swiftly scanned through the books, contemplating moments later as he spoke, "Test it out, and you'll see, It's definitely fake. Could be Illusion Magic, just like how Zancrow was fooled with Illusion Magic once before. With that little brat's cunning, he could definitely pull off something like this."
Hades' tone was one of absolute certainty.
Ridiculous.
If a mage could become an angel, it would have been him in the past.
Years of studying Light Magic had made him the strongest Light Wizard of the Ishgar Continent long ago.
Why had he turned to darkness?
Was it not because the path of Light Magic ended, whereas Dark Magic had Zeref at its limit?
He had pursued all kinds of light myths in the past.
Angel and heaven—those tales were more familiar to him than anyone on the Ishgar Continent.
But it was of no use....
Just legends, with no road at the end of the light.
Now, suddenly, someone says they can become an angel, and it's Gaal Brons, of all people? Hades found it laughable.
If he couldn't become an angel, why that brat?
After cutting off the communicator, Hades snorted derisively.
"Ridiculous...."
At the forest's edge, Azuma hung up the communicator and turned to Kain Hikaru with a frown: "The Guild Master doesn't believe it. He wants us to test it out."
Kain Hikaru inquired, "How are we supposed to test it?"
After a moment's thought, Azuma replied, looking at the continual explosions in the distance, "I'll hit them with something big. You keep an eye out at the fringes to make sure Gaal doesn't escape."
Kain nodded, "No problem."
Azuma then began merging with the trees, vanishing from sight.
Kain Hikaru stood up, eyeing the battlefield center.
At the center of the battlefield—
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
The demon Tempester had become lifted his fists repeatedly, targeting Gaal's form, with each hit imbued with curses, creating massive craters.
Gaal nimbly dodged while raising his Sword of Judgement to fend off Kyoka's strikes.
Clang—
The clash of sword and claw sent sparks flying.
Magic light attacked from afar.
Gaal raised a hand to erect a magic shield. Seilah suddenly yelled, "Order!"
The ground beneath Gaal's feet surged with a curse, rendering him immobile. His pupils constricted.
Can't move?
Kyoka's brow twitched, feeling a sharp pain from her claw but seizing the opportunity, she bore it to grab the Sword of Judgement with one hand, reaching for Gaal's wrist with the other.
"Pain Amplification!"
At the moment of contact, Gaal's expression shifted.
Suddenly, a sharp pain flared up at his wrist due to the pain sensation amplification. Seeing the curse take effect, a happy glint flashed in Kyoka's eyes, as she added further curses.
"Sensory Deprivation!"
Suddenly!
Kyoka's body leaned uncontrollably forward as Gaal pulled back, reclaiming the Sword of Judgement with his right hand.
His left hand pressed against Kyoka's chest.
"Sensory Magic: Tenfold Pain."
