Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Madara stood atop a rocky outcrop, his piercing gaze fixed on the sprawling Hogwarts castle in the distance. The ancient stone fortress loomed over the landscape, bathed in the silver glow of the moon. He could sense the powerful magical barriers surrounding it, humming with energy like a web of unseen forces.
The realization of being in a world where magic thrived still intrigued him. Chakra and magic—two distinct yet formidable energies. He had spent the past few days experimenting with both, attempting to understand the limitations and compatibilities between them.
The Forbidden Forest behind him was eerily silent, the occasional rustling of leaves the only sign of life. He had already encountered a few magical creatures, some aggressive, others more passive, but none posed a challenge to his power.
The revelation of magic had been intriguing, yet he had yet to fully grasp its potential. Could he wield a wand? Or would his chakra allow him to manipulate magical forces without one?
A sudden rustling in the bushes below pulled him from his thoughts. His Sharingan flared to life, analyzing the movement before his senses detected several figures approaching stealthily. He recognized the energy signatures—Aurors.
Wizards who worked under the Ministry of Magic's enforcement division. It seemed they were already tracking him after his encounter with the rogue Death Eaters.
Madara smirked. Their presence only confirmed one thing—he was now a person of interest in this world. And that meant he needed to be cautious about his next move.
One of the Aurors, a tall man with a scar across his cheek, raised his wand. "By order of the Ministry of Magic, step forward and surrender. You are suspected of illegal magical activity."
Madara tilted his head, his expression unreadable. "Illegal? I've done nothing but defend myself. Is that not allowed in your world?"
The Auror narrowed his eyes. "Your presence alone is causing disturbances. You are an unknown entity, and we cannot allow you to roam freely without proper registration."
Madara chuckled, stepping forward. "And what if I refuse?"
A flicker of hesitation passed through the Aurors, but they remained steadfast. "Then we will be forced to take you in by any means necessary."
Madara sighed, disappointment evident in his tone. "I had hoped for a more welcoming approach, but it seems this world's authorities are no different from the ones I've known before. Very well, show me the strength of your magic."
Before any of the Aurors could react, Madara vanished in a blur, reappearing behind one of them. He merely tapped the wizard's shoulder before a pulse of chakra sent him crashing into a nearby tree. The others whipped around, their wands igniting with spells, but Madara was already moving.
Fire exploded from one Auror's wand, but Madara countered with a simple hand sign. "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" A massive fireball roared from his lips, swallowing the incoming flames and hurtling toward the group. The wizards barely managed to conjure defensive shields before the ground shook beneath them.
Madara darted through their defenses like a specter, disarming one Auror with a swift kick while dodging a barrage of spells. He was testing them, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses.
While they had remarkable magical prowess, their reflexes and physical combat skills were lacking. Against a shinobi, especially one of his caliber, they stood little chance.
One of the remaining Aurors growled, raising his wand high. "Petrificus Totalus!"
Madara felt the spell graze his arm, a slight numbing sensation spreading before his chakra instinctively dispelled the effect. His eyes gleamed with interest. So magic could indeed affect him, but only momentarily. Useful knowledge.
Deciding he had seen enough, Madara leaped back, putting distance between himself and the battered Aurors. "Your skills are commendable," he admitted. "But you lack adaptability. In a real fight, hesitation means death."
The lead Auror, still recovering from the earlier exchange, gritted his teeth. "W-What are you?"
Madara simply smirked. "A wanderer. Nothing more, nothing less."
With that, he vanished into the darkness of the forest, leaving the stunned Aurors behind. He had no intention of making an enemy of the Ministry—not yet. There was still much to learn, and his path was only beginning to unfold.
As he moved through the dense foliage, his mind returned to Hogwarts. If he wished to understand the true nature of magic, that castle held the answers he sought. Whether as a student, an intruder, or something else entirely—he would find a way in.
The world of magic and chakra had only just begun to reveal its secrets, and Madara Uchiha intended to unravel them all.
