Chapter 80: Chapter 79

Razor paused for a moment before speaking. "I can believe that Ging might have a child, but I absolutely don't believe he'd get married."

His tone was serious. "That guy isn't someone who would settle down and let family ties hold him back.

"Unless he truly doesn't want to go on adventuring anymore."

Ging, giving up adventuring?

Impossible!

Everyone instinctively shook their heads.

The vast virtual network space fell silent for a moment.

"Rustle, rustle..."

Suddenly, the sound of paper shuffling broke the quiet.

"Are you all done talking?"

Ishukube, who had been busy with something, raised his head and waved a stack of papers at the screens.

"If you're done, go on your way. I still have a lot of work to do."

"Hey, hey, hey!"

The group protested in unison:

"We came here to discuss Greed Island! You haven't explained everything to us yet!"

"Oh, one of the consoles?"

Ishukube continued shuffling his papers. "I sent it ahead of time to someone really impressive."

"Impressive?"

The others scoffed.

To be honest, as members of the group Ging had handpicked to develop Greed Island, each of them was among the top talents in the world. It was rare for anyone to earn their respect.

"Yep, I even gave him a custom computer and phone."

As Ishukube kept flipping through his notes, the scorn in the others' eyes faded, replaced by seriousness.

Receiving a custom-made phone and computer from Ishukube was no small matter.

After all, not everyone here had managed to get their hands on one yet…

"If this person is really as capable as you say, I guess giving him a Greed Island console isn't too big of a deal," Dwun remarked, his usual carelessness replaced with concern. "But what if he puts all his effort into hacking the game?"

"We put so much time and energy into creating this. It would be embarrassing if someone cracked it not long after release."

"Don't worry."

Razor, smiling with his trademark squint, interjected, "One of the cards can only be obtained by interacting with me as an NPC. If he's really that formidable, I don't mind testing him myself."

Hearing this, the group nodded in relief.

With Razor guarding access to a critical card, they felt much more assured.

Ging had anticipated that powerful Nen users might try to break the game, so he had specifically assigned Razor as a strong defensive measure.

"He's not really interested in the game itself," Ishukube explained while flipping through his papers. "He's more curious about studying the gameplay and experience."

"By the way, who is this person?"

List's eyes lit up with curiosity. "Is he a rising star among Nen users?"

"Or perhaps a reclusive expert who avoids the spotlight?"

"No, he's someone who just finished training with his master and recently started traveling the world."

Ishukube elaborated, "From what I've found, he took part in this year's Hunter Exam. He didn't pass…

"But he injured both Kruk and Konzei, who were examiners, and even knocked out Botobai."

"He injured Kruk and Konzei?!"

"Knocked out Botobai?!"

The group immediately perked up.

"That guy's that strong?"

The names Kruk and Konzei were well-known in the world of Nen users.

And Botobai? He was undeniably a top-tier fighter among them.

For someone to cross paths with all three of them and walk away unscathed...

It seemed Ishukube's acquaintance was no ordinary individual.

"If he's that powerful…"

List couldn't help but smile.

"I'd like to meet him someday."

He glanced at the pile of games in front of Ishukube.

"These things must have come from him, right?"

"Yeah, they're items he created."

Ishukube gestured with the papers. "His Nen ability is interesting—it lets him materialize fun and functional games."

"For example, this one."

He pulled out a device labeled Real-Time Combat Video Game Console.

"This just looks like a regular game console," Dwun remarked after a glance, not noticing anything special.

"It seems that way, but if you point the screen at someone…"

Ishukube aimed the console's screen at Dwun and pressed the start button lightly.

—Inside Rimiro Castle on Greed Island.

Dwun, who had been idly scratching himself in front of a monitor, suddenly straightened up.

Dwun: "Huh?!"

"What's wrong with you?"

List turned to look at him.

"I… I can't control my body!"

Dwun shouted in alarm, flailing around before suddenly freezing in the center of the room.

A moment later, a pink, fluffy creature appeared in front of him, looking like a stuffed toy.

Dwun: "???"

List: "???"

What the hell is that?!

"This game lets you turn someone into the protagonist of a video game and control them," Ishukube explained while demonstrating the console in the virtual network space.

"The game I'm playing now is called Space-Time Hunter. You just have to jump on monsters to defeat them."

"And sometimes, treasures will appear—springboards, bombs, and so on. You can even use them to attack."

Ishukube's hands moved deftly as he played, demonstrating the mechanics for everyone.

The others nodded thoughtfully.

"Is this some sort of manipulation-based ability?" Razor observed carefully. "The conditions don't seem too restrictive, but the effect is surprisingly strong."

"It'd be great for toying with opponents."

"Mm-hmm."

The other developers nodded in agreement.

On the screen, Dwun, who had just stomped on a monster, flailed wildly while yelling:

"I get it, I get it! Stop using me as your test subject already!"

"Don't worry," Ishukube replied. "Even if you get hit, it won't hurt much, so you're fine."

"That's your reasoning?!"

Dwun screamed in frustration.

"Hurry up and release me already!"

"As you wish."

Ishukube nodded and pressed a few buttons on the console.

A massive bomb suddenly materialized in Dwun's hands.

Dwun: "???"

The others watching on the screen: "…"

In the same room, List silently stood up and left.

"Boom!"

The explosion sent Dwun flying, smoke rising from his singed body as he collapsed in a daze.

"Game Over!"

"This is just one of the many game-related tools he left behind," Ishukube said, putting the console away. "I remember he had many other items that are much more practical and far more powerful than this."

"Does that mean some of his tools are even more effective than the cards we created for Greed Island?" one of the developers asked skeptically.

"For now, it seems so," Ishukube replied with a nod. He still had records of Morin's other items, such as the overpowered Fountain of Youth, which let someone grow one year younger with just one glass of the spring water. However, he saw no need to share this detail with them.

"Strange items like that..." Razor fell into deep thought.

He recalled how obsessed Ging seemed to be with the world beyond the six continents.

Could this person with all those unique tools help Ging in his quest to explore the outside world? Would Ging be interested in meeting him?

The developers had sought out Ishukube mainly to determine where the Greed Island console had ended up.

Now that they knew it was in safe hands, they felt reassured.

After a brief exchange of a few more words, they all disconnected from the call one by one.

As for Dwun, who had been knocked unconscious by the explosion, List carried him away. Fortunately, aside from being knocked out, he had no injuries at all.

This fact left List both astonished and slightly disappointed.

"How could that messy guy survive without a single scratch?" he muttered to himself. If Dwun had been awake, he would have undoubtedly cursed at him.

With the commotion now over, Ishukube's surroundings returned to peace.

Yorknew City

Early the next morning, Morin and Kastro packed up their belongings.

After storing away the House Robot and Folding House, they set off on their next journey.

What they didn't know, however, was that shortly after their departure, a luxurious extended limousine pulled up to the spot where their house had been.

"This is the place, right? The one Ms. Ritz mentioned—the place that can solve all kinds of problems, even healing injuries?"

From the car stepped a middle-aged man dressed in an exquisitely tailored suit, his demeanor exuding wealth and status.

His appearance was unmistakable.

He was Battra, one of the world's richest men, a regular figure on the covers of business magazines and financial newspapers.

At this moment, however, the calm and composed demeanor he usually displayed in the business world was nowhere to be seen. His eyes were filled with rare excitement and hope.

"If even someone like Laisha Ritz, with injuries as severe as hers, could be easily healed, then there's no doubt my beloved can be saved too!"

Last night, Battra had received shocking news.

Laisha Ritz, who had been severely disfigured after a fire accident, made her first public appearance since the incident.

What left everyone stunned was that her face had been completely restored to its former breathtaking beauty.

The burn scars, tumors, and disfigurements on her body had vanished without a trace.

Her appearance at the event instantly became the center of attention, leaving everyone in awe.

Her elegant demeanor and confident smile left no doubt—she had fully recovered!

Upon learning this, Battra immediately contacted Laisha Ritz.

Although she was initially reluctant to share the reason for her miraculous recovery, Battra eventually persuaded her by offering a significant price.

Reluctantly, Reisa revealed that she had been healed by a jack-of-all-trades shop located in this area.

And so, Battra had come to this spot based on Reisa's directions, hoping to hire the shop's owner to save his beloved.

Three years ago, just as Battra and his fiancée were about to tie the knot, tragedy struck.

An accident left his fiancée in a deep, unresponsive sleep, like a modern-day Sleeping Beauty. She became bedridden, effectively a vegetative patient.

Battra was devastated and sought out the world's best doctors, but no one could help.

Now, with Laisha Ritz's miraculous transformation, a glimmer of hope reignited in his heart.

"This is the place, right?"

Stepping out of the car, Battra glanced around but found no trace of the jack-of-all-trades shop.

Instead, he saw only an empty plot of land.

The emptiness was stark and conspicuous, standing out among the surrounding buildings.

"Go ask around," Battra instructed his bodyguards, an ominous feeling creeping into his chest.

Following his orders, the bodyguards began questioning nearby residents about the shop.

And just as Battra feared…

"What? The jack-of-all-trades shop is gone?" one passerby exclaimed. "That can't be right! I walked past here just last night after grocery shopping, and it was still here!"
