"Uggh, do I have to get up?" I got no response from Meicoomon. It was 4:30 AM, and my energy bar was full. Well, let's make breakfast, and then I'll practice with the martial arts dummy until I am fatigued.

I made some pancakes and bacon. The smell woke up Meicoomon. Meicoomon was eating standing on the chair; she was too short to sit and eat at the table.

"So, is there any I need to worry about when feeding you, Mei?"

"Digimon are omnivores for the most part. We break down the digital data of the food we eat, and what is useless gets exectered as poop." Meicoomon explained

"Do I need to get you a litter box or something?"

"No, I know how to use a toilet just fine thankmew." Meicoomon

"Okay, just asking is all."

"That's fine. Interesting thing about your cooking is that is 60% useful data for me at least." Meicoomon

"I wonder if that is based on my cooking level. No time to worry about that let's get down to business and get to training for the day."

"I'll be cheering for you all the way." Meicoomon

Even with Meicoomon cheering me on, I only lasted 4 hours. I didn't even get to level 4 on the skill. And now I had the Fatigued Modlet.

Fatigued No Mood Effect 8 Hours: Activity of the athletic variety naturally leads to a little muscle fatigue. Cannot work out. Swimming or snorkeling in a pool with this moodlet will give the Sim the Drowning moodlet. Swimming in the sea outside of a lot will only cause Fatigued if the Sim is very sleepy. If a Sim goes to bed after receiving this moodlet, they will get the Sore moodlet, even if the Fatigued moodlet has already expired.

"Lovely, I'm going to sore tomorrow."

"Chiaki, I say this as a friend, hit the showers, you stink." Meicoomon

"Yeah, I know no one wants to be around me in this state." I went to take a shower. After that, I left to go to the library. I spent the next 7 hours reading the inventing skill book. Getting to Level 3 of the inventing skill. Fun fact about the inventing skill, it runs off scrap metal. At level 2 of the skill, it gives you the ability to plant explosives anywhere for 5-50 Simolons to turn other objects into usable scrap. So if I were dumb and evil, I could turn an airplane seat into a bomb. Blow both the plane and myself up.

Fortunately, I wasn't hassled on my way home. When I got home, I made a quick dinner and passed out on my bed.

[Your Bills are due pay §2300 before the end of the day or a repo man will be by to take things from your home to pay for your bill.]

[Pay now or pay at your mailbox]

"Great, had to wake up to this and being sore. Pay now." I watched as my simoleons decreased. "Welp, time to get No Bills Ever from my lifetime wishes."

There were more rewards, but I couldn't afford them yet. I decided only to get No Bills Ever. After that, I could save 5,000 LRP for Fast Learner. Well, I'm too sore to practice martial arts today so fuck it. I'm going to hunker down in the library and max out my cooking skill no matter how long it takes.

July 5, 2010 2:30 PM The New York Society Library

"I finally finished the dam book! FUCKING 32 hours of reading!"

"Madem, if you persist in yelling, I will have to request you to leave. And if you keep being disruptive, I will have you banned from this place of learning." The Librarian

"Oh, sorry, I'm leaving and I won't be a bother for the rest of the day." I ran out to my car which I had been sleeping in for the last three days.

"Dam teenagers." The Librarian grumbled

I drove home, walked inside, and collapsed on my couch. I opened my Sims 3 System panel.

[Cooking Skill has been maxed out! Rolling for reward across other videogame worlds]

[Reward: Augur of Ebrietas (Bloodborne Hunters Tool Set)]

[You can now complete Cooking Skill-related challenges for additional pulls from (Bloodborne Hunters Tool Set)]

What looked like a blue slug made out of spider webs appeared in my hand. I squeezed it, and three tentacles shot out from the Augur of Ebrietas. I could control the tentacles, even use them to lift things. It was like having three long fingers that were really flexible. Once I loosen my grip on Augur of Ebrietas, the tentacles retracted. Long, flexible, slimy, and responsible gruthey… No, no, no, why would my mind go there? I put the Augur of Ebrietas back in my inventory to read its description.

Augur of Ebrietas

Remnant of the eldritch Truth encountered at Byrgenwerth. Use phantasms, the invertebrates known to be the augurs of the Great Ones, to partially summon abandoned Ebrietas. The initial encounter marked the start of an inquiry into the cosmos from within the old labyrinth, and led to the establishment of the Choir. [The Sims 3 System has severed all outside influences from all reward items. The user does not have to worry about summoning outer gods unless you do it with means outside the system.]

"Huh, I guess that is the reason I had control of the tentacles. Okay, I need to move my body. I've been mostly sitting for three days."

I made my way to my practice dummy time to work on my martial arts. I trained until fatigued again. It took me six hours this time I gained 2 levels of Athletics and reached level 4 of Martial Arts. After that, I took a nice, long bath. Sleep was then calling my name.

July 6, 2010

"Yeap, sore again. So, what are these cooking challenges?"

Star Chef

Star Chefs have prepared at least 50 meals, so they clearly know their way around the kitchen. The dishes they prepare are more pleasing to those that eat them.

Requirements: prepare 50 meals

World-Class Chef

World-Class Chefs have prepared at least 75 dishes and are masters of the kitchen. World-Class chefs are known to prepare meals significantly faster.

Requirements: prepare 75 meals

Menu Maven

Menu Mavens have learned to prepare all the recipes. Recipes are earned by improving the cooking skill and can be purchased at the bookstore. Menu Mavens prepare higher-quality food.

Requirements: learn 28 recipes

"I'm sore anyway, so completing Menu Maven will be easy enough to do today. Shame I don't have the ambrosia recipe, but that costs §12,000 and I'm at… §5,000, that's going to be a bit before I can raise that kind of cash. Now the other two challenges that would be a lot of food waste. Guse, I could donate the meals that I don't use to a soup kitchen, give back to the community."

So I left for the library to read all the recipe books I owned. Ratatouille, Chili Con Carne, Vegetarian Chili, Mushroom Omelette, Fish And Chips, Vegetarian Fish and Chips, Hot and Sour Soup, Cookies, Fruit Parfait, Fried Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich, Firecracker Shrimp, Firecracker Tofu, Cheesesteak, Cheese Tofu Steak, Aloo Masala Curry, Cobbler, Porcini Risotto, Eggs Machiavellian, Tri-Tip Steak, Tri-Tip Tofu Steak, Potato and Truffle Torte, Stuffed Turkey, Stuffed Tursoykey, Ceviche, and Baked Angel food Cake. Now, the only recipes I was missing were Ambrosia and the six from World Adventures. But what I had learned from maxing out the cooking skill and finishing all the recipe books was definitely enough for the Menu Maven Challenge. I decided to check when I got home. Reading all of the recipes took all day.

[Menu Maven Challenge Complete]

[Reward: Accursed Brew (Bloodborne Hunters Tool Set)]

"I am so glad I waited until I got home to get the reward." I was holding a very off-putting skull. I was not going to use it in my house. Sim fires are hard enough to put out without being cursed flames. Placing it in my inventory, I checked the description.

Accursed Brew

Skull of a local from the violated fishing village. The inside of the skull was forcibly searched for eyes, as evidenced by innumerable scratches and indentations.

No wonder the skull became stewed in curses.

They who offer baneful chants.

Weep with them, as one in trance.

"Just lovely. Know what, sleep sounds nice. Very nice."

July 7, 2010

"Okay, food and then back to the grind on martial arts. Tomorrow, Sarah Walker will be by with her friend, who knows more about martial arts. Maybe I should see if Gwen or Jubilee wants to hang out the day after."

I made French Toast and enjoyed a meal with Meicoomon. After that, I got down to business practicing with the dummy as Meicoomon cheered for me. I stopped just after I reached level 5 in Martial Arts. I didn't hit level 3 in Athletics. I didn't want to be sore tomorrow, and that only happened if I got the Fatigued modlet the day before. Cleaned the bathroom and then took a shower.

"So, I have 24 days until August. Tony Stark will be back in the States sometime in August. For me to do the Indie Game Dev job, I need to be level 5 in painting/logic/writing. Right now, my skill levels are?" I tabbed over to Skills

[Skills]

 Logic 3/10

Alchemy 3/10

Cooking 10/10 ★

Carisma 3/10

Handiness 3/10

Martial Arts 5/10

Athletics 2/10

"Well, I guess I can spend the night at least getting to the first level of the writing skill. Painting was always a bitch to level if I rember right. No books for the skill. But there is books for the street art skill. Painting isn't the worst skill to level. That dishonor goes to Photography. Maybe if I max it out, I'll get the powers from Life is Strange. Okay, I'll get to level one of the writing skill, then I'm passing out."

And thus brought an end to July 7, 2010
