Chapter 2: Chapter 2....The system

"A template system, you mean the one in which I get to play as different characters" I wait for a reply but unfortunately, there is no answer from the emotionless system in my possession.

"System"

I day out loud and to my expectations, a new window opens up, it has a few tabs such as status, Character, character draw and another tab that was greyed out for the moment.

I decided to open and view my status even though I knew I was weak af.

[Name: Jack Silver]

[Powerlevel: human]

[Character card active:none]

[Equipment:None]

[skills:None]

[draws left:1]

I was just like I expected, a weak human, wonder if I have the x gene, maybe I can get extra power.

I instinctively knew what the draws were for, if I didn't, I might be the dumbest person in the multiverse.

I opened the character extraction and a huge wheel was floating in front of me, though I doubt anyone but me can see this big ass thing.

it's at least a meter big. there was a single line written at the bottom.

[Draws left:1]

I clicked play and the wheel started moving at fast speeds, if it were a real thing, the room might have been through a storm like a phenomenon.

After three whole minutes, the thing finally calmed down.

the pin finally stuck on a single piece of the wheel. and the piece it stuck in revealed a character that I was familiar with.

[CONGRATULATIONS! for your first successful character extraction, you have been awarded 'Cedric Diggory]

Along with the name came various amounts of info about the said boy who was said to be as stubborn as Harry potter.

[Cedric diggory]

Abilities:

Flying: As the Captain and Seeker of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, Cedric was a skilful and accomplished flyer and Quidditch player, especially since the position of Seeker was generally considered to be the hardest position to play. In particular, he was noted to have a very fast swerve

Transfiguration: Cedric was shown to be proficient in transfiguration, given how he transformed a rock into a dog during the first task of the Tournament, and took the subject at N.E.W.T.-level, meaning he must have achieved either an "Exceeds Expectations" or "Outstanding" at O.W.L

Charms:

Cedric was shown to be proficient in charm-work, using a successful Bubble-Head Charm during the second task of the Tournament, and took the subject at N.E.W.T.-level, meaning he must have achieved either an "Exceeds Expectations" or "Outstanding" at O.W.L. level. He also used the Wand-Lighting Charm to illuminate his dark surroundings whilst navigating the maze of the Third Task, along with casting the Red Sparks to alert the defeat of Viktor Krum. Furthermore, Cedric was shown to be very talented in the casting of defensive charms,[ such as the Disarming Charm and Stunning Spell; he was capable of using the Stunning Spell to stun and defeat an Acromantula, a highly dangerous beast in the maze of the Third Task with Harry Potter's help.

It was no surprise that the abilities of Cedric Diggory came as a surprise to Jack, mainly because his memories regarding harry potter were not that fresh.

If he categorised these magic spells into powers, then it can be said that he has the power to give life to an inanimate object and some level of defence and offence.

"How do I equip this card, do I just use his powers or something"

[The host can go to his status and equip the character card]

I did just that and as soon as the status showed the Cedric Diggory card was equipped, I was bombarded with all the things Cedric knew and to say it was a lot was an understatement.

Aside from his expertise, it seems he has a good grip on hex, potions and to my surprise, the greatest skill I could ask for at the moment, the apparition magic.

It's a good way of running away if I am ever in a pinch, it seems that all students can learn how to do this in their sixth year for a price of 13 galleons.

I looked at the mirror and saw that my clothes and face, my whole body had changed into that of Cedric Diggory.

I put my hand on my chest and felt something, it seems the system is nice enough to give me a wand, it would be a bummer if it didn't since a wand is considered a part of a wizard.

Without a wand, a wizard is just another muggle. I took out my wand and felt a weird connection to it.

with a twirl of my finger, I tried transfiguration on the mirror, only for it to crack and break into pieces

*Kacha*

"Oh, shit" I quickly turned back to my original appearance and started cleaning the floor before my mother comes in.

'What seems to be the problem here I couldn't help but curse out since I remember Transfiguration to the same level as Cedric.

[it is because the synchronisation rate is not high enough to perform the ability]

After hearing what the system said I opened up my status to see that the character card was only at 5 percent.

it seems I will have to keep practising to increase my synchronisation rate, I can also increase it through embodying the characteristic of Cedric Diggory, though that's easy since his personality matches with mine to a high level, perhaps that's the reason I am already at 5 per cent from the beginning.

I decided to turn back into Cedric and start practicing, who knows what problems I will be facing in this universe,it's better I start now and don't regret later on then to be lazy and then regret it.
