IN NARUTO AS KURAMA

Chapter 17: CHAPTER 17

Obito Uchiha, masked and shrouded in mystery, stared at Uchiha Shisui, who had risen to face him. The disdain in Obito's gaze began to waver. Though he refused to admit it, Shisui exuded a presence that even he found oppressive—a presence he couldn't quite place.

"Uchiha Style: Sword Jumping Flame!" Shisui's voice echoed as flames erupted along the edge of his sword, authorized and legendary as described. With precision and grace, he lunged at Obito, his flaming blade cutting through the air like a streak of light.

Obito's Kamui activated just in time, causing Shisui's attack to pass harmlessly through him. Smirking beneath his mask, Obito reached out, his hand phasing into Shisui's space to grab his neck. "Got you—"

But Obito's confidence was short-lived. In a flash, Shisui disappeared, reappearing behind Obito in a blur of speed. His tachi came down hard, aiming for a decisive blow.

Clang! The blade struck the ground, missing its target as Obito's voice, ghostly and mocking, rang out from behind Shisui. "Your strength is nothing compared to Hashirama's."

A chain shot out from Obito's arm, wrapping around Shisui with unrelenting force. "Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!" Obito unleashed a torrent of flames, aiming to end the fight swiftly.

Shisui reacted with unparalleled reflexes, spewing flames of his own to intercept the attack. As the fires clashed, Obito used a substitution jutsu to retreat from the battlefield, reappearing near Itachi Uchiha.

"Hmph," Obito muttered, his pride slightly bruised. "I hate to admit it, but that guy is strong."

Shisui, still standing amid the aftermath of the attack, caught his breath. His eyes flickered with the resolve that had earned him his title, "Shisui of the Body Flicker."

Meanwhile, Itachi's gaze sharpened. His growing resentment bubbled to the surface as he stepped forward, facing Obito with unwavering determination. "Let me try," he said.

"No!" Shisui barked, stepping in front of the young prodigy. "Itachi, this man is far too dangerous. I won't let you risk your life."

But Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan spun into existence, silencing Shisui with its sheer intensity. "Let me go," Itachi said firmly.

Seeing the resolve in Itachi's scarlet eyes, Shisui hesitated before stepping aside. "Be careful. His eyes are on the same level as yours, if not worse."

Nodding, Itachi faced Obito, kunai in hand. "Let's see what you've got."

In a flash, Itachi closed the distance, his kunai aiming for Obito's throat. But as expected, the kunai phased through Obito harmlessly. Smirking beneath his mask, Obito reached out to grab Itachi's eyes.

Danger!

Shisui, acting on pure instinct, teleported to Itachi's side, but it was too late. Itachi's right eye spun violently, unleashing Amaterasu, the inextinguishable black flames.

The flames ignited Obito's arm instantly, spreading with terrifying speed. Obito gritted his teeth in pain. "Damn it!" he hissed, retreating as he tried to douse the flames with Water Release, but the black fire consumed even water.

Itachi collapsed to the ground, clutching his eye in agony. The Mangekyō Sharingan's burden was too much for someone his age to bear. Shisui rushed to his side, picking him up and retreating to safety.

Obito's gaze darkened as he stared at the black flames still licking his arm. Without hesitation, he grabbed a kunai and severed his own arm. The limb fell to the ground, still burning, as Obito's Zetsu-enhanced body began regenerating a new arm.

The Uchiha guards surrounding the scene instinctively stepped back. To them, this "Uchiha Madara" seemed more like a monster than a man.

Obito's fury boiled over. "I've had enough of this!" In an instant, he reappeared before Shisui, his chain blade clashing against Shisui's sword with a deafening clang.

The ferocity of Obito's attacks increased, his strikes faster and deadlier than before. Shisui struggled to keep up, his famed agility barely enough to avoid fatal blows. Obito's overwhelming power pushed him back step by step.

Realizing the dire situation, Shisui formed a series of hand seals. "Uchiha Style: Blast Sword!" Chakra surged around his blade as he launched himself at Obito with renewed vigor.

Obito scoffed. "Ant." His Zetsu-enhanced arm completed its regeneration, and his strength doubled. With a single swing of his chain blade, he shattered Shisui's attack and seized him by the neck.

"It's over," Obito sneered. "How pathetic. Shisui of the Body Flicker, the Uchiha prodigy, crushed by my hand."

Shisui's eyes spun wildly, their pattern forming the unmistakable Mangekyō Sharingan. Obito's grip tightened, the sound of Shisui's neck creaking under pressure.

"Enough." A voice, both familiar and terrifying, cut through the tension. Obito froze, his body stiffening as he turned toward the Uchiha gate.

Standing there was Shiro, his figure illuminated by the moonlight. His calm demeanor contrasted with the storm of violence around him, but the air seemed heavier in his presence.

Obito's confidence wavered. Why is he here? This... nightmare! His murderous intent dissolved as he instinctively stepped back. "Who are you?" he growled, though his voice lacked its usual strength.

Shiro's smile was sharp and mocking. "Who am I? I have many identities, but you wouldn't understand any of them."

Before Obito could respond, Shiro vanished. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared in front of Obito, delivering a devastating kick to his stomach. Obito doubled over, feeling as though his insides had been rearranged.

"I hate when people ask me who I am," Shiro muttered. "So today, let me tell you—I'm your grandfather!"

Shiro's hand shot forward, grabbing Obito by the collar. Without hesitation, he slapped Obito's masked face, once to the left, then to the right, each strike echoing loudly. Obito stumbled back, dazed and humiliated.

Shisui, still recovering, watched in disbelief. "Is this... really happening?" he muttered, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth despite his exhaustion.

For the first time in years, Obito felt genuine fear. Shiro stood before him, smiling with terrifying confidence. The man's strength was undeniable, his presence overwhelming.

"Now," Shiro said, his tone sharp. "Are you going to behave, or do I have to show you what real power looks like?"
