Chapter 47: Ch 47. Technology Distribution & Recovery
Ron continued, "It will take about three hours for him to heal completely. In the meantime, why don't I show you more of the lab?"
Everyone was already astonished by what they had witnessed. If the Raikage fully recovered from his bone-breaking injuries, it would be nothing short of miraculous. Dodai and the others nodded, eager to see more. Ron and Ed led them through the lab, showcasing its various sections.
There were high-end technological workstations equipped with advanced instruments, areas dedicated to plant and seed experimentation, and spaces filled with modular devices, circuit boards, electrical tools, and even a massive machine that used light to etch materials.
Noticing their curiosity, Ron explained, "Right now, the Ninja World relies on electrical hardware built with PCB boards. These regulate and control electrical currents in various devices. I'm researching the future of this technology and how to fit even more complex functions and logic into smaller materials. Well, it's complicated! There are many challenges, from manufacturing to design and beyond."
He reflected on technological advancements from his past world and thought."In the beginning, there were Through-Hole Components, where electronic parts had leads inserted into holes on printed circuit boards (PCBs). These included Dual In-Line Packages (DIPs) and Transistor-Transistor Logic (TTL) chips. Later, Surface-Mount Devices (SMDs) allowed components to be mounted directly onto the PCB surface, increasing component density. Then came Chip-Scale Packages (CSPs), which were nearly the same size as the die itself, ideal for space-constrained applications."
He continued to think, "Eventually, Ball Grid Arrays (BGAs) emerged, improving thermal performance and electrical connections through an array of solder balls. Quad Flat Packages (QFPs) followed, with leads on all four sides, striking a balance between size and connectivity for high-pin-count integrated circuits."
Ron's vision was clear; he aimed to bring these advancements to Kumogakure and the Land of Lightning, merging them with sealing jutsu to create a new frontier of technology. He had already made progress in basic electronics, and this was only the beginning.
Ron and Ed were already working on developing and monopolizing these technologies. Rather than gradually introducing advancements to the public, Ron wanted Kumogakure to sell only cutting-edge innovations, skipping incremental releases and directly launching the most advanced technology possible.
This approach would make it significantly harder for others to replicate their work. Since products based on current technology were already widely available, there was no point in trying to restrict them. Ron understood that the shinobi world was full of geniuses, and more would inevitably emerge.
He had to ensure that even someone like Orochimaru couldn't reverse-engineer the core technologies just by studying publicly available products.
By introducing technologies that were generations ahead of the current standard, Kumogakure would achieve a massive leap forward in engineering and innovation. Others would attempt to decipher these advancements based on existing knowledge, only to realize the sheer magnitude of the gap between them.
Of course, chakra-based electronics would also be developed, including devices that use chakra as a power source or even advanced weaponry. However, these innovations would primarily serve as bargaining chips in political deals, while the most advanced versions would remain exclusive to Kumogakure.
Products that combine chakra, technology, and sealing techniques would be among the village's most closely guarded secrets. Even highly specialized devices like gravity training chambers and advanced recovery pods would only be accessible to core village members, approved Jōnins, and other trusted individuals.
To prevent leaks, anyone granted access to these technologies would need to undergo a security measure, an implanted seal in their brain to ensure that sensitive information couldn't be extracted even after death, similar to the safeguard used for Kumogakure's Lightning Chakra Mode, which was common practice for any village.
Of course, this would only be necessary once Ron successfully developed these devices for widespread internal use. For now, even constructing a dedicated training ground with steel alloy several feet thick was costly, and increasing the number of users or raising gravity levels further would quickly become impractical.
The tour eventually came to an end, and Ron found himself lounging on a sofa in the lab's central resting area. From this spot, he had a panoramic view of everything happening around him. He leaned back, savoring a melon-flavored ice pop with his eyes closed, lost in thought as usual. It was a newly released product from a company in the Land of Lightnin, one that Ron had personally invested in and even helped develop the flavor for. Meanwhile, Raiya and Hana were in the bio-lab, studying the solution used in the medical tanks. As skilled medical ninjas, they analyzed its properties, offering their insights and suggestions to Ed for further refinement. In the gravity training area, Ay and Killer Bee were pushing their limits under ten times the normal gravity. For Ay, with his immense physical strength, the added weight was bearable without chakra, though that didn't mean it was ineffective, it only meant he could move considerably. Bee, on the other hand, being closer in age to Namikaze Minato, struggled without using chakra. He had to rely on Lightning Stimulation to endure the pressure, reinforcing his body to withstand the strain. Despite the challenge, both were exhilarated. Training under increased gravity made every movement feel more intense as if their entire bodies were being reforged under stress. The thrill of pushing their limits only fueled their excitement.
Ron had no worries about his father's recovery inside the tank. He had designed the system meticulously, once inside, the patient would be automatically induced into a deep sleep, which would only end when their body was fully healed. If the necessary medical resources ever ran low, the system would alert those outside. But with the massive stockpile of materials Ron had stored in his lab, that was hardly a concern.
To make the process even smoother, he programmed the capsule to wake the patient with a specific tune once their healing was complete. Since recovery times varied from person to person, the machine had estimated roughly three hours, though it could be slightly more or less.
Then, after just over two hours, a tune suddenly echoed through the lab.
It was the old Nokia Toreador 1 ringtone, personally designed by Ron, designed to play with old hardware.
Ron smirked. This was his little indulgence, his evil touch. The thought of people waking up to this sound every single time amused him endlessly.
