Chapter 309: Chapter 309 : Wano 19
The once war-torn land of Wano was now a scene of jubilation. The news of Kaido's defeat spread like wildfire, igniting a wave of celebration that swept through every village and town. The people, who had suffered under Kaido's tyrannical rule, could finally breathe a sigh of relief and let their joy pour out.
In the Flower Capital, the heart of Wano, the streets were filled with dancing, music, and laughter. People gathered in colorful kimonos, their faces beaming with happiness. Lanterns were strung up, casting a warm, festive glow over the bustling crowds. Stalls were set up, offering delicious food and drinks, and children ran around playing games, their laughter echoing through the air.
The Straw Hat Pirates, along with their allies, were at the center of the celebration. Luffy, the captain of the Straw Hats, was surrounded by admiring citizens who cheered his name. Despite the exhaustion from the intense battles, Luffy's wide grin never wavered. He basked in the glory of their hard-fought victory, enjoying the warmth and gratitude of the people.
Zoro, still nursing wounds from his battle with King, leaned against a wall, sipping sake with a rare smile on his face. Nearby, Sanji was busy in an impromptu kitchen, cooking up a storm to feed the hungry revelers. The delicious aromas wafting from his pots and pans drew crowds of people eager to taste the food prepared by the legendary cook.
Nami, Robin, and Franky mingled with the crowd, each enjoying the celebration in their own way. Nami marveled at the beauty of the decorations and the joy on the people's faces, while Robin quietly absorbed the historical significance of the moment. Franky was in his element, entertaining children with his inventions and feats of strength.
Law, ever the stoic, allowed himself a rare moment of relaxation. He leaned against a pillar, watching the festivities with a small smile. The weight of their victory was evident on his face, but so was the relief. He knew that this was a turning point for Wano and that their efforts had truly made a difference.
Amidst the celebration, Kirito stood slightly apart, reflecting on the journey that had brought them here. He had poured everything into defeating Kaido, and now, seeing the people of Wano celebrating their newfound freedom, he felt a deep sense of fulfilment.
"Though I personally like this journey of sea, please don't get lost again like that," Kirito said to the girl standing beside him.
"Hey, it's not my fault, that stupid seal just send me here." Asuna shouted.
They both finally had some time for themselve after all the war ended.
Kirito finally knew what happened.
Back when Kirito went to his time from Uzu, Asuna ended up getting connected to the array when she enter to kiss him.
This all started back then.
'Phew. At least its over now.'
Kozuki Hiyori, dressed in a beautiful kimono, took to a makeshift stage to address the crowd. Her voice rang clear and strong, carrying over the noise of the celebration. "People of Wano, today we celebrate not just the defeat of Kaido but the rebirth of our land. We owe our thanks to these brave warriors who fought for our freedom. Let us honour them and look forward to a future of peace and prosperity!"
The crowd erupted in cheers, their voices blending into a powerful chorus of gratitude and hope. As the night wore on, the celebration only grew more lively. Fireworks lit up the sky, painting it with vibrant colours and filling the air with the sound of joyous explosions.
As the festivities continued, Kirito found himself surrounded by friends and allies. They toasted to their victory, their laughter and camaraderie a testament to the bonds they had forged in the fires of battle. Kirito raised his cup, his voice filled with emotion. "To Wano, to our friends, and to the future. We fought hard, and we won. Let's make sure this peace lasts forever."
Kirito had to stay here for a time until his chakra recovered but that is good as well.
After all he needed some time with Asuna.
But after that they immediately had to leave.
